I'm a confident rider and got a great horse for me where my husband isn't as confident rider and he was paired with a sweet easy going horse, Faye. Actually all the horses are sweet and wonderful. We did a one hour trail ride. The trail was fun - not too challenging and we even got to stop by a beautiful creek so the horses could take a drink. It's absolutely magical & no better way to see the beauty of this region. Now the horses: They are all beautiful, very healthy and thus happy. The website is clear, informative and easy to navigate. The owner, Erika, responded to our ride request personally and promptly. The property is expansive and beautiful. Rolling Hills, gorgeous pastures, shady forest with rivers cutting through it. The horses are phenomenal! Even the Gift Shop has some really cute and memorable selections, which is rare! We were a party of 6, 3 adults and 3 kids. Some experienced, some real novices. Our guides, Randall and Zoe were a pleasure from the beginning to end. Zoe - thank you for matching every rider to their horse thoughtfully and perfectly! This young lady must have a sixth sense about human/horse personalities because, as the absolutely delightful owner Erika was describing their wonderful horses, it was sometimes hard to keep track of whether she was talking about the horse or the rider . My boyfriend and I booked a one hour trail ride for a Saturday morning while we were visiting the Keuka Lake area. The team at Mountain Rose communicated effectively with us about moving our ride to the afternoon to miss the rain moving in. We had the most incredible afternoon. From the moment we arrived at the farm, we were transported into something of a movie. Super unprofessional, this woman is extremely close with some of her prized students (only because she brainwashed their parents into paying a whopping shit ton of money every month) and she talks to them like they are buddies in high school, no 40 something "trainer" should be that close with a group of little girls. Creepy. Notice how there's no bad reviews on google? No shit, she deletes them. Hence why the 5 star review, it'll take her longer to remove it. When I pulled my daughter from this program so many people came forward to me with nightmare stories of this woman traumatizing their child.

Kim is a great teacher who praises when praise is warranted and firm when it comes to safety issues and paying attention. I loved that. This isn't your average "pony ride.' My grandkids groomed, sprayed and saddled the horses (with lots of help from Kim, her daughter, and other experienced riders). They learned some riding basics and after the grooming/saddling/instruction, were able to ride by themselves in a large fenced in area. I highly recommend this stable if you happen to be in the area. Those people with other types of disabilities can gain confidence and experience success as well. Lastly, all will gain a sense of peace riding on a trail ride enjoying the outdoors. I also went to a rodeo there recently and had such a great time ! It was exciting watching the riders on the bulls and the barrel races were amazing. Those riders have some serious riding skills ! Food and beverages were an added pleasure.
