What a wonderful experience--my girlfriend (a multiple-time rider) and I (a first timer) decided to take a Spirited Trail Ride while on vacation, and it was amazing! The staff clearly care about their horses--so much information and instructions were given prior to starting, and it was clearly all about the safety and comfort of the people and the horses. It was crucial to us that we picked a place where the horses were the priority, and this place does just that! The trail ride had great views (moving through fields, forests, and waterways), and the staff were communicative both prior to us coming and during the ride. I felt safe, joyful, and so connected to the experience. They even took so many pictures during and after the ride, allowing us to really stay present. Thank you to our guides! 100% would recommend!

I love this place!! Trail ride was such a fun time for a bunch of beginners. The owners really know what they're doing and they treat their horses so well. Such a big beautiful property with so many horses!

Erica and Taylor made this experience wonderful for our weekend trip from DC. Erica couldn't have picked better horses to match our personalities and her tutorial beforehand was very clear and direct with a hint of humor to ease any nervousness before riding. We're no experts by any means and I initially thought it would be a quick ride around the farm but it was way better than we could have imagined. We rode through creeks, up and down some hills, and through the mud. Erica and Taylor were talking to us and telling stories the entire time. If we don't come back for the sandwich and beer at two goats, we'll definitely come back to painted bar stables to say hi to Scotch and Hermoine.

Erika and Dan were knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and energetic hosts for our Bachelorette ride on Memorial Day! They made every effort to match us with horses that were not only compatible with our skill levels but personalities. They even took plenty of photos of us while riding. The horses are clearly loved and well taken care of. The passion that they showed for their herd was top notch!

I booked a trail ride for my family on a (very) cold afternoon in March 2019. Our main host, Erika, was energetic, friendly and gave us precise and useful safety information before the ride. The trial ride in the forest lasted an hour and was a lot of fun. Our horses (Scotch, Casper and Fringo) were gentle and sweet. Because my son was only 6 he could not take part in the trail ride but instead had a private lesson at the barn with a super friendly teacher (whose name I forget) and a very mellow horse named Captain. Overall it was a great experience which I happily recommend.

The Painted Bar Stable offer horseback riding tours for any level rider (beginner to advance) with beautiful surroundings. The barn is well maintained and the horses are gorgeous. The people here took their time to ensure they matched us up with the right horse based on experience, weight and height. They also made sure to prioritize our safety by one guide being in front of the line, navigating us and one in back, in case any of us straggle behind. They were extremely helpful and patient with our group! You have the option to not wear a helmet but I highly recommend it because some of the tree branches do extend into the riding trails when you head through the forest as well as bugs and dirt throughout ride. Definitely recommended to anyone who wants to venture out to the trails and creeks on horses rather then just wine tastings when you're in the area.

My wife and I came to Seneca Lake for our honeymoon and I wanted to do something other than going to wineries (which I've done many times). She recommended going horseback riding and Painted Bar Stables was recommended by the b&b owner. So we jumped onto their website and filled out a form to schedule a ride. The owner Erika emailed me back with a scheduled ride for the following day at noon. Perfect! We got to the barn and met Erika and the trail guide for some basic rules and guidelines (this was my first time). Erika was very nice and had some great analogies (ie election campaign) while explaining how to get the horse to trust you. The one hour trail ride was awesome. I rode Mack and he was a champ (even though he caught me sleeping and grabbed a few snacks for the ride). The scenery was beautiful and the trail wasn't difficult at all for a beginner. We did some hills and obstacles like fallen trees etc. We also got to trot and cantor which was really fun. If you're staying at the lake do yourself a favor and book a ride, you won't regret it!

We did an hour and a half ride with Erika and Katie!!! We rode Casper and Captain and had so much fun!!! This was our first time riding and absolutely loved every second of it. We did a lot of hills and trotting! Super fun and chill to talk with them!! Awesome humans. Highly recommend!!

Crispy 40 degree day but the rain stopped and the sun came out a bit. Perfect day on horseback!!

I had a fantastic time on a 2-hour fast paced trail ride! Wow! How gorgeous the scenery with fall colors, how nice Sofia the trail guide was and how reliable and fun the horses were. I rode an appaloosa are called Aspen, she was so sweet and lots of fun. I didn't want to leave, I can't wait to be back very very soon! Thank you so much for giving me one of the best trail rides ever. I really loved it!

jumped off the college tour circuit to go for a Finger Lakes area trail ride- so much fun

We first filled out the application in October 2021 and made the reservation fee shortly after. At the time, they had a long waitlist due to the pandemic and we were about 25th on the list. Our only request throughout the whole process was that we be offered a female puppy when the time came. They were very communicative for the first few months and their website showed where we were on the list, so as litters were born, we could see ourselves moving up. As time went on, they moved their location, changed their business name and redesigned their website, so we were unable to see our progression up the list. I reached out in November 2022 as to where we were and was told we were still in the top 20. Shortly after that in December 2022, they reached out and asked if we were ready for a dog as a litter was about to be born and would have been a February take home. Seeing what we were told just the month prior and knowing February would be difficult for us with our work schedules, we informed them we would not be ready in February but were open to subsequent litters. Again, we were in the top 20 just a month before (to our knowledge, no litters were born between that time) and we were not actually OFFERED a puppy in December 2022 because one was not physically available. Our impression was that if we were being asked if we were ready in December, we would be able to have a puppy from a subsequent litter sooner rather than later. By September 2023, there were several other litters born and yet we were still not offered a dog. They, on the other hand, claim that we were "offered" in December 2022 but declined. That could not be further from the truth. If there was actually a female puppy born and available, we would have made it work with our schedules since we had been waiting over a year already at that point. All they did was ask us if we were ready, not said "I have a dog for you." There's a big difference between the two. Furthermore, why by September 2023 were we still being told we were "near the top" and "should be in the next litter" if we were actually offered in December 2022 as they claim? Any reasonable person would assume that if they were being asked if they were ready for one litter, they would be coming close to the top of the list. As I noted above, there were several litters born between December 2022 and September 2023 but it is pretty clear that we were passed over for other people on the list. The most infuriating part of all of this was their email that they sent in early September 2023, which read "If you are willing to budge and accept a male that would be easier for us to get you one from this litter, otherwise we will be breeding the next girl in the upcoming months but we will not breed if we have available puppies." What that said to us was basically "take a male dog or keep waiting." We found that to be totally unprofessional. When I questioned them about that, they said "nothing was implied" in their previous email, but we don't see how that email can be taken any other way. Because of this nonsense, I requested my reservation fee be returned which of course was refused. Yes, when we first completed the application, we understood that the reservation fee was nonrefundable, but what we hoped would happen after almost 2 years is that they would do the right thing and try to make things right. After all, we made the reservation fee with the assumption we'd be offered a female puppy at some point before hell froze over, but their last email from September indicated that hell might in fact actually freeze over before we received a puppy. It seems that besides breeding, their business model includes taking $500 from people to be added to this mystical list, just so they finally wait long enough to throw their hands up and walk away like we did. We also noticed that the pricing of their dogs went up $500 since we were put on the waitlist 2 years ago. It wouldn't surprise me if they were taking people from the "bottom" of said waitlist and offering them dogs before us just so they make some extra bucks. There are many, many other breeders in the tri-state area with AVAILABLE, AKC approved and genetically tested females. Hopefully this game that they play will not last much longer because other people will start to catch on. Their dogs may be beautiful and supposedly come from a great genetic background, but unless you feel like waiting for an undisclosed amount of time for a dog, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Such a nice experience with Bella! Our goldendoodle is our first puppy, the first for my daughter…read more The process was easy to follow, very detailed and comprehensive - i.e. we had to commit to getting training and we watched her process videos and suggestions - but this all speaks to Janelle's commitment to us and her pups. She is not going to let just anyone get a puppy, she wants them to have the best home. Communication was key. Being new to this or any puppy adoption, we had many, many texts between us so I never felt abandoned in the process. As our pup was available right away and we live in the Rochester area, we started talking on Saturday and had our lil girl on Monday! Big Thank You to Janelle for her wonderful breeding and adoption process!

After a very long time of researching breeders I decided that Janelle Cole at bellaminidoodles.com…read moreseemed like the best fit to work with. I found a beautiful puppy listed on the website " Fushia Girl " a mini goldendoodle i spoke to Jenelle 3 times before purchasing. She sent me the invoice for 3,900.00. Once I paid in full she texted me not thanking me for the payment but to complain she forgot to add on the $110.00 processing fee she gets charged when one uses a credit card. Although this was settled once she realized her error Jenelle advised she would pay for this fee along with the " training the pup received " I selected a pick up date see her website she charges $550.00 for pick up in Lee Massachusetts. Once a delivery date was set I received another text from Jenelle advising me to bring $675.00 in cash for the delivery driver. Big difference $550.00 to $675.00. I arrived early that day to pick up the puppy, no delivery company existed it was just her son. I pay the $675.00 was handed the pup and drove home the 2 hours. When finally was getting settled at home I noticed I was given the wrong dog. I also must add this pup was so shaggy, messy, matted and poor thng couldn't see with the amount of hair covering the eyes. I brought the pup to TWO pet specialists and was told this dog is NOT a Pure Goldendoodle this is closer to a Poddle. I contacted Jenelle Cole that same night at 732pm via text, expressed my concern to Jenelle Cole. Radio Silent, No Text, No Phone Call nothing. The next day at 130 pm I finally connected with Jenelle Cole owner of Bellaminidoodles.com. The reply I received " anyone who is not happy with the puppy they receive I always tell them to bring the puppy back to me " I remind her I live in Massachusetts and she lives in Rochester NY a 938 miles round trip. That day I spend 2 hours researching flight nanny, delivery companies, private flights out of the Beverly ma airport, thought about renting a car, looked into taking a bus to NY so many ideas but every idea I had and looked into would cost $650.00 at minimum to get the pup returned to NY. I finally decided I would drive my own car that is a lease to NY. I reached back out to Janelle and ask her if she would kindly return my $675.00 cash from the pick up delivery and I Will agree to drive the pup I have back to her home in Rochester NY. Her reply " I am not paying one penny for your expense to bring the pup back to me this is your responsibility " Text me when you are on your way, and hangs up on the phone on me. The next day at 4:42 am I got in the car and drove to NY. I arrived at 12:35 pm returned the pup back to Jenelle Cole. She begged me not to post any reviews. She asked me if I thought she was being fair I replied NO but showed zero compassion. All I wanted and still want is the delivery fee of $675.00 returned to me. Note again her sketchy website says her delivery fee to pick-up a pup is $550.00 so why was I was charged $675.00 is wild. I returned home that same night at 920pm. I drove 987 miles, drove a total of 14 hours, spent $140.00 on gas in one day a big loss for me. The next day Jenelle Cole texted me showing me pictures of the pup all well groomed saying she has been adopted for $3400. I submitted a complaint with the Attorney general office in NY thankfully they have a Lemon Law for Dogs. Waiting for the outcome, I just want my refund. #1 pic is the dog I purchased, #2 & 3rd picture is how I received the pup, shaggy, messy and not the same dog. Lastly her pups are not " Trained " so please beware and no I do not recommend bellaminidoodles.com. They advertise Goldendoodles but are selling Poodles. Note multiple negative reviews posted on bellaminidoodles.com most concerning her last positive review is not recent dated back to 2019. Could be family or friends posting a positive review.
