This service call with Doug is the embodiment of exemplary customer service! First - since I called late afternoon, I was expecting to have to schedule a next day appointment (if lucky), but I got a call back within a few minutes, and Doug was on the way to my home. He quickly surveyed my requests, which were 1. enlarging the hole on my door to accommodate a new lock that my husband was going to install, 2. re-key a side door to match all the other locks on our house, and 3. re-key and make new keys for my 2 garage doors. The quote was extremely reasonable, so we had Doug begin work. He ran into a bit of an issue with my garage doors, and had to make a trip to his shop, but got back and continued working. While Doug was working, I thought of a few other door hardware/frame issues I was having (that had been annoying me for years), and Doug fixed those for me as well, for only a tiny additional amount. On top of that, not only did Doug enlarge the hole on the door to accommodate the new lock that my husband was going to install.....he went ahead and installed the new lock! I had two prior experiences that were pretty good. The locksmith was friendly, professional and courteous in both interactions. This time around the dispatcher seemed short and a bit confused and the lock smith a bit despondent, but he was quick and efficient. The problem is we were told three different prices-- the final price was twenty bucks more than the phone quote (which happens if a job is more complex than anticipated.)This was a simple bike lock removal. We were quoted one cash discount price and another card price when the worker arrived. When I called back and expressed my dismay at the ten buck fee, I was told the cash price was a "discount" and there were no card fees. This didn't happen before and was not what I'd been told earlier, and he began to suggest that I misunderstood the conversation with the dispatcher and that he would "check the recording." I don't know what that implies. I have seen this before. Businesses don't want to pay merchant fees on credit cards or they are doing something unscrupulous---not reporting cash revenue to the IRS. Either way, it doesn't seem too kosher, and I will be using another locksmith in the future. read more

I called several Locksmiths to come change my sister in-law's locks in her new house. The first one I called said they would be over within the hour, but two hours later they were still making excuses as to where their guy was. The second one I called sounded really strange on the phone saying they didn't have anyone able to come out that day, but then asked "would we be paying cash or credit?" Yeah, red flag on that one. I called QuickPro Locksmith and they said they had a technician in the area and could be at her house in about 30 minutes. He arrived in about 20 minutes and took a look at all 3 doors. We asked him to give us a quote to change the locks on all three, but he said we had really good locks to begin with, and we would save a lot of money by re-keying these existing locks rather than having to buy three new ones. He said he could install 3 new locks if we preferred, though. Wow! When was the last time a contractor tried to save me money? Like never. It took him about 30 minutes to rekey all three, and we were really happy with the price savings. These guys are awesome. Highly recommended! read more

I discovered at 34,000 feet that we had left keys in Texas. After considering a rental car and 7 hours of driving, I contacted QuickPro while the plane was coming in for a landing in Atlanta. I got their price to come out and make a key for our 2012 Ford Edge. The service tech came in, was very professional, and had me a new key cut and programmed in a short period of time. I was very pleasantly surprised at the service that I received. It was very cold on this past Tuesday and all I wanted to do was get into my house and get a cup of tea. I detoured from routine and accidentally locked my car keys inside my car in the garage. Thankfully, I was already in my house. He did a great job fixing the lock considering there was a key stuck in the lock and one of the screws was completely bent out of shape.
