I asked about the pricing and instead of a normal conversation, the staff became defensive and rude. One employee kept asking me to repeat myself, then made a comment about my appearance when I questioned the prices. Another employee handled it more professionally and simply said "that's just the price," which I respected. I understand local stores have overhead and can charge above online value, but customer service matters. If someone asks about pricing, that shouldn't turn into hostility. Left with a bad impression overall.

Well it is, multiple times I have ordered online from CEX and the Shield TV was either missing a controller, broken, or they gave me the wrong controller. Now normally I would have given up, but I really didn't have anything else I wanted so I ordered an Nvidia Shield Pro 500GB model one last time and shipped by this store. Shipping notice came three days early, item didn't ship out until about three days after I got the shipping notice, a bit annoying really, but whatever. Item arrived in under a week so overall I can't complain especially for free shipping. I received the item a couple days ago. The item functions great, came complete with box, even with the original charging cable! These guys did their homework, unlike the other CEX stores I dealt with and failed, these guys got it right! I feel confident to say that any interaction with them should at least be professional and you should get what you pay for, and I imagine if not they would resolve the issue quickly. Joystix Classic Games & Pinballs is actually a working showroom that opens once a month for Pac-Man Fever Night, when every game is set to free play. It's one of the most fun and unique experiences in Houston. We hosted my wife's birthday party here, and it was fantastic. Renting the space was simple, the staff was awesome, and having the 1820 Lounge next door made it the perfect setup for a group celebration. Everyone had an amazing time. I highly recommend booking the showroom for events, you will not be disappointed. The owner is Charlie, he is outstanding. He is friendly, passionate, and deeply knowledgeable about pinball and arcade history. You can tell he truly cares about preserving the hobby and sharing it with others.
