chicken and rice in a styrofoam container

I've been to this restaurant several times, and have yet to be disappointed. Decent prices and food that is a step above the mall food court Hibachis. I love the Chicken and Salmon with extra sauce. In addition the Yum Yum sauce is quite tasty as well.

Food was smacking. My buddy got the chicken teriyaki. The shrimp tempura was fire. Good flavor with exquisite crunch. Surprised how quick they made my order with it being lunch time on a Friday with a decent amount of other customers.

This place is decent. Similar to the beloved Sarku Japan that most of us all love on our trips to the mall. Quickway expands on the Japanese offerings with Bento Boxes and Sushi. But the majority of the customers like myself opted for the meat and fried rice options. I had chicken fried rice that took about 10 minutes. The prices are higher than Sarku Japan but quality seems to be higher. My biggest complaint is for the money I thought the portion sizes could've been better. There's plenty of parking and seats inside if you'd rather eat in. I think next time I'll have to give their other offerings a try! The Sushi looked pretty good and Bento is a good option for a quick lunch. Oh! One last thing, they include yum yum sauce. Ya know, the white dressing that you enjoy at your favorite Hibachi restaurant.

The only reason this isnt 1 star review is because the food was ok. We were visiting on a weekend at 12:30. We weren't at a hibachi table. My husband asked for a gin and tonic. But there is no tonic water and our server couldn't offer any alternatives. Their beers were all flavorless pilsners or light beers. The plates are an interesting mix of heavy and large or flimsy and plastic. It made the meal strangely awkward. The food arrived and my husband asked for normal sodium soy sauce. We were told that all the green soy sauce bottles are filled with normal soy sauce. So they are either lying to us about everything being normal. Or they're lying to everyone else and refilling bottles that say low sodium with normal soy sauce. The server was below average and didn't clear anything from the awkward table. She was trying but was just not very good. There is a mandatory 18% gratuity that I asked to change given the service. I wouldn't normally punish a server for the restaurant's short comings but she was bad at her job. I was told their payment system couldn't do this. I asked to speak to a manager. No one would be in until 5pm. I am so glad I don't live near this place and have other options for Japanese food. I don't ever need to go back. This is my first review because I've never had a such a bad experience.

I ordered from the happy hour menu which has a pretty good selections of drinks and food. I settled on the kabuto peach drink ( some fruit drink with vodka) and the Pearl River roll ,Baltimore roll and Gyoza. The food came out quick and fresh. This might become my new Friday happy hour spot. You can't go wrong with sushi and drinks.

This place was luckily right nearby with good reviews, but since it was a bit too late to eat indoors as they were cleaning up, I ordered my food to go. The woman in front seemed friendly based on the brief interaction I had with her. I went with the $22.95 Grilled Roll Combo, which included grilled tuna, salmon, and yellowtail rolls. All of this came with a pretty large container of miso soup that was better than your typical store-bought version, as it had a better depth of flavor. There was a bit less tofu than at some other places, but perhaps I just got an uneven batch. The meal came with 24 pieces in total, which was a bit shocking to my NYC brain. The various fish had different flavors and nice grill marks, with my favorites being the tuna and yellowtail, as expected. The rice was a little bit soft, but this was to be expected as there was sauce on it and it had traveled, so I am not blaming them. Outside of the rolls, there was some wasabi and some gari/sushi ginger. It was a nice and satisfying meal. Overall, it was a good deal. I can see why this place has been open for years from this dish alone. I would go again if I were back in Baltimore for a game or something and would recommend others check it out.
