Went to a silent disco for my 25th birthday at Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden on Friday with 20 of my friends. We had the time of our lives!!!! It was so much fun and everyone is talking about how much fun they had. Although it started at 10pm, it was basically almost empty until around 11:15. The room filled up pretty quickly once 11:15 hit and the lights turned off for an even cooler ambience with our glowing headphones! The DJs were awesome and even shouted me out twice for my birthday! The playlists were spot on and so many great songs were played! Had a wonderful time using quiet events. I truly loved how they laid everything out for you and there were clear eye catching instructions. The only thing I missed was I ordered their mp3 players but ended up preferring a different music selection and I wasn't sure how to connect in the mp3 players so we never used them. We were only able to use one channel connected in via Bluetooth. I am sure it was operator error. We still had a great time and will definitely be using them again. read more

We have worked with Quiet Events for two of our company tour day events now and have been very happy with the product. We have worked with TJ Fitzimmons who has been great at walking through our product needs and what will work best for our group. On site having colors associated with the channels is great and makes it easy for all attendees to know if they are on the correct channel in order to hear the speaker. For us, I think the days of bring with individual speakers and mic for tour days are over. This is the way of the future. The Quiet Event Concept was a great way to allow students with autism and other sensory input differences the opportunity to socialize and interact with their peers. OKAY so this was the COOLEST thing I have done since I moved to the city. They hold random events pretty much everywhere all over the city and usually its completely free. I would just recommend planning WAY ahead and showing up early because people tend to line up and I'm sure they run out at some point. How it works: You can get "tickets" online but I don't think that does anything - it doesn't reserve you a spot or anything but they claim they'll tell you if its cancelled or anything, that way you're the first to know which is a plus I guess. But no perks from getting tickets online. So you show up and wait in a line, wherever the line begins, they have staff so it's pretty organized. To the particular event I attended (in Bryant Park), they passed out cute freebies like light up rings while we were waiting in the cold. When you get to the counter, they'll ask you for a credit card which is just in case you lose the headphones. You get a confirmation text saying that you checked out the headphones. If you fail to return them at the end of the night - its a whopping $100! So don't forget lol. Other than that, grab the headphones - there's three DJs battling for your attention - a top 40, 80/90s, and throwbacks. There's a wide variety of music and the headphones light up according to which DJ you're listening to. Will I be back?? I've been looking for another event SOON in the city. The day I went, it was dreadful waiting in the cold but once you're in a crowd, the cold is bearable. I highly recommend grabbing a few friends and doing this! SO MUCH FUUUUUN. read more

I am so happy I went quiet clubbing! My friends and I decided to go to a quiet clubbing event on a Saturday night, it was being held in Iron Bar in the city. I honestly had a blast, I haven't danced this much in awhile. So I face this issue where I go to a club and there are some songs that I love dancing to and then there are others that I really don't care too much for and just hope that the next song is better - the difference with quiet clubbing is that you can just keep switching stations and dance to the music you want! For example, there was a point where I was dancing my butt off to dancehall music while other people were singing along to Uptown Girl haha - the point is that you can seriously dance the whole time - I literally danced the WHOLE entire time! So here's the scoop, you actually get wireless headphones that have lights on them. The lights are red, blue, or green depending on the DJ station you're listening to - you have a switch on the side which lets you decide. The DJs are set up (at least at Iron Bar) by the dance floor where they have the lights around them, for example the red light station would have a designated DJ in his own booth with a red light by him. As for the music , there's so much selection. All the DJs had their style so you heard almost every type of music - from dancehall, EDM, top hits, classics, and Latin music! Also, you will find other people listening to the same station by the color of their headphones and they automatically bond with you! So if you're with your significant other, you can tune in to a romantic song and dance with each other or if you're single, you can find other people matching your station and dance along with them. I saw a couple of people changing their stations to try to flirt with people haha. Definitely worth going and the price is not bad at all! Sorry if I suck at explaining things haha!
