Expensive for the amount of food they give you. Owner/staff unfriendly and unwelcoming. Will not recommend this place!

The biscuit was perfect--buttery, fluffy, and nicely crusty on the outside. The hollandaise was also quite good. However, the eggs were a bit overcooked for my preference; the whites were solid and the yolks were mostly set rather than runny. Overall, it was a very flavorful meal, and I will definitely return when I'm back on the Sunshine Coast

Came here on a Sunday afternoon, they were out of brew coffee so I got an Americano with Oat Milk…read more(Americano $4.5 + $1 for Oat Milk). I also tried the Chocolate Cream Cheese muffin ($5), it was pretty good but a tad dry. The outside is like a dry Japanese-style cheesecake, and the inside is a regular chocolate cake, but the combo together is quite interesting. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but I do enjoy coffee and need my daily dose, so I did find their coffee overall a bit acidic for my tastes. To each their own. There's a small Specialty Menu on the side that I didn't realize until after I paid, I would want to dry the Espresso Tonic or Orange Espresso. They also sell beans by the cashier. You pay at the cashier, and there's no screen to tip which I appreciate. I personally rather pay for a more expensive cup of coffee than tip, as I usually only sit for 15-30min, and take my own cup/plates away before leaving. Small cafe, about 4 small seats and a few by the bar so it does fill up fast. There's a large parking lot for the plaza, but it's paid parking only. Prices are pretty standard for a small local coffee shop. Overall, I'd recommend this place in Burnaby, walkable for both Royal Oak or Metrotown Skytrain station. It's a cute place to check out if you're ever craving a non-chain coffee shop in Burnaby!

We only got to-go so we didn't get to relish in the space, but would come back again if I could! FOOD + DRINKS: Super yum! I got the 106 Latte and I liked it! It only comes cold, so just an fyi! Typically comes with 3 pumps of sweetener but I asked for 2 since I like my drinks less sweet. I also got less ice since I didn't want it to be too cold! I loved the drink though, it was perfect! The coffee was strong enough and the flavor wasn't overpowering, and especially, wasn't too sweet, just how I like it! We also got a hot lavender latte which, surprisingly, wasn't too sweet as well! Perfect intensity of caffeine with flavor! HONORABLE MENTION: CHICKEN PESTO SANDWICH!!!! I never get food from cafes multiple reasons: too pricey, never know how long they have been there for, have there been flies in the refrigerator, etc. There is just so many unknowns with the quality of the food. But the kind lady at the register, when I asked about the sandwiches, she was so excited about it! Hahaha! I thought it was so amusing that she herself was so in love with these sandwiches, she gets them all the time is what she told me. I was feeling hungry and we had a long ride ahead of us so I got the chicken pesto sandwich! Individually wrapped in the refrigerator, only two of each kind, it looked sanitary and reasonable, and so was the price! It was toasted and cut in half for us. When we ate it, it was SO YUM! I usually each my sandwiches with hot sauce, which I forgot to inquire about, but it was so yummy I didn't even miss it! So awesome!!!! AMBIANCE: Small, cute, quaint! There are a few seats available, bar seating at the window I could see myself sit there and do work at, a few tables for seating that you could find yourself catching up with someone at! It's a small area, but if youre looking for something warm and cozy, this is your spot :)

The black sugar latte is absolutely outstanding - rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. I'm addicted to it to say the least. I also had the chance to try their sandwiches, which were fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality coffee spot in the area. And don't forget to get their stamp card!

Firstly, there is parking, just be mindful and respectful to those spots that are reserved for other businesses. Once inside you're greeted by the friendly staff. There is quite a number of tables so if you have a large group I'm sure they can accommodate. We ended up ordering asada quesadilla, comes with pico de gallo, sour cream and a spicy salsa $20. Iced cafe mocha $6 Iced Spanish latte $6 Coffee was fantastic and the quesadilla was good. I saw some people order the breakfast which looked fantastic! That will definitely be my next order! They sell a bunch of Brazilian snacks but overall the inside of the store looked worn out. We came in on a Sunday morning and no one was at the front. I rang the bell and a young girl came to take our order. She was sweet but looked very stressed. She ran to the back and was on the phone with her boss frantically asking for help. She then came running out and told us it'll be a wait because she needs to get a big order out. I replied no problem and went to grab a seat. After awhile I rang the bell again and asked for a refund and said I would return another time. The girl said she could make the food now. The next few minutes all we heard was the microwave constantly going off and it was clear nothing was made fresh. Feijoada: apparently this is their most popular dish and I liked the vibrant colours. However the pork was overcooked and nothing tasted fresh except for the slice of orange. Strogonoff: the creamy sauce was not bad but it was so salty we were really thirsty after. The chicken was overcooked. Coxinha: I was excited to try tradition Brazilian croquettes but these were clearly frozen and again didn't taste fresh.
