I came here as a child, and continue to come as an adult. I've stayed in almost every type of room/cabin they have available and loved all of them. They have something for every budget! Book your lodgings FAR in advance if you're going during the peak season. But if you go during the off season, booking is easy and CHEAP! If you're on a budget I highly recommend you go when the temps are cooler and there are fewer people around, you'll save BIG TIME. I've stayed in the basic motel room, a cold water a-frame (no-view), an ocean view standard studio, and an ocean view luxury cabin and would stay in any of them again. Places are always clean and well equipped. The staff are friendly. I highly recommend you book over the phone, or at least confirm an online reservation over the phone. The staff are very helpful with room recommendations, and some of the units are pet friendly. They have camping sites as well. We'll continue to come for many years! read more

The area is beautiful, the staff very friendly. However, the accommodations were not to our expectations. The cabins need a lot of work. Window screens missing, light bulbs burnt out, slow draining drains. Wish we'd known that fireworks were allowed beyond 4th of July. That was never in their disclosure. This place might work for most folks, but not for us. read more

I felt like camping was right on top of each other. The fire pits are small and in weird places. The camper hook ups are placed in front instead of the back of the camper spot. The locals took over the parking and we went and said something about the dogs roaming and the locals "camping" in the parking spots for the vehicles that don't fit in the camp spots and they acted like they didn't care. There was constant driving in and out of the camp grounds. Besides the views, this place isn't the greatest don't waste your money and look some place else. read more

Just got home from a few days at Quileute Oceanside Resort, and can't wait to go back! There were about 20+ of us altogether. I stayed in a luxury cabin, which ended up being right next door to other family members' cabin - perfect for making our cabins the "hub." Other people stayed in standard cabins, motel units, A-Frame cabins, and some camped. Nice to have so many options. The luxury cabins were great - full kitchens, living room areas, Jacuzzi tubs, and absolutely incredible ocean views! Maintenance/housekeeping staff quickly responded to our few requests (more toilet paper as the days went by), and every staff person i encountered was friendly and helpful. The kitchens had small fridges (maybe 3/4 size?) with freezers, dishwashers, pots, pans, silverware, plates, glasses, mugs, coffeemakers, dish towels (we should have asked for more)... If you plan to cook specific food, you should bring your own cooking equipment - but i think that about every rental house. The table was small, especially for playing games. Next time, I'll bring a folding table. Our lodgings were clean and comfortable. The water tasted good (silly, but you never know...). Most of us had Verizon, so cell service was ok. The other people used the Wifi Room to get caught up on the outside world. Some of our group went on day hikes or explored Forks and Olympic National Park. Some of us stayed close by and enjoyed the ocean, cooking together, playing games... Can't wait to go back to spend some time near the ocean in its many moods and tides. :-) read more

Stayed at the motel. It was lovely, looked newly renovated. Kitchenette was perfect. We cooked a bit, saving some money. Proximity to the beach is amazing. We slept with the patio door open to hear the waves. We did a bonfire on the beach- just bring dry wood with you. Around town everyone's wood is left outside so gets wet when it rains. We bonfired during a drizzling rain and stayed mostly dry with our fire. Hospitality was ok- not top notch, but the location and beauty of the surroundings make up for it. Highly recommend. It is worth the 3-4 hour drive from seattle to experience this place if you like hiking, walking on beaches, and solitude with great views. I would advise getting a cooler and going to the market in seattle and loading up with fresh seafood, fruits, nuts, pastries, bread before going there. Once there, there is a small grocery and 1 restaurant. After that, it is a bit of a drive to town. Get the most expensive units there, it is worth it. read more

The perfect place for rest and relaxation. We were delighted with our little a frame cabin on our arrival, but it is pretty "bare bones". We had a wood stove and they provided some firewood in a bin on the porch. Would have loved a bench or some sort of seating in the porch. We were in cabin 3 and had a full size bed which is way too small. A queen would have fit in the space then my senior husband wouldn't have had to climb to the loft to sleep as it is treacherous and the opening is quite small. There are no linens provided for the loft area either so bring some. All the flooring is tile and very cold so slippers or throw rugs are needed. The kitchen is nicely stocked with service for 4, coffee pot, microwave and a fridge and there is a two burner hotplate provided though ours had seen better days and had a broken leg! Don't forget to bring salt and pepper (not provided). We stayed in cabin 3 and had a full size refrigerator, the others only have a small one. We also had hot water in ours and a small stall shower that was serviceable. Towels are small and there were only two. They do not have housekeeping service either, so be aware. There is a kitchen table and 4 chairs and that's it. We were craving a soft seat! Close proximity to the beach which is perfect. Close to grocery store and wifi room. There are plenty of electrical outlets for electronics, but no wifi other than in that room which is open 24 hrs with your cabin key. I had Verizon wireless and had no problem with texts or calls. We cooked In our cabin and there is only one restaurant nearby. The beach is lovely and very quiet and peaceful. I will be back, but will get a cabin with larger bed! read more

Just what the doctor ordered. This place is not easy to get to, but well worth the extra effort! No wifi, no phones, and no cell service... although I'm told Verizon works there. You are surrounded with options for activities... surfing, hiking, fishing, hot springs, etc... but I found the prescription that suited me best was simply doing nothing but alternating between chairs on the outside deck and an overstuffed chair by the fireplace... all while enjoying the spectacular ocean/beach view. Next time I might amp up the activity level a little and bring a kite... or a frisbee. For those who crave intermittent doses of peace and solitude, this might be your spot! read more

Was not expecting much when we drove up, but boy were we wrong. Tidy cabin right on the beach with HUGE windows providing a 180 degree view of 1st beach. Full kitchen let us cook up big meals of fresh catch of the day and enjoy it with a bottle of wine while watching the sunset...wow. Great base camp for surrounding area hikes (Hoh, Rialto, 2nd beach). A bit pricy, but where else can you get your own cabin ON the beach!? read more

Set in the beautiful Olympic rainforest, right on the gorgeous First Beach, my husband and I went to the reservation for our first anniversary. It surely was an experience! First, of course, is the five star location. Right on the Washington coast, snuggled into evergreen trees, a location you can't beat. But it is so remote that there is no cell service and the wifi is only offered at a small room behind the main office, which is great for those who wish to escape the fuss of the world. The distance from civilization also isn't ideal if you haven't brought your own food, but there is a convenient market located a short walk from the cabins. There are many options to choose from when it comes to the sleeping quarters, we stayed in the smallest cabin available because we brought our puppy and the larger cabin on the beach wasn't pet friendly, but the management was great at accommodating us and refunded the money from the larger cabin. Even the small cabin was enough size for my husband, me, and our dog, but the bed was a full size, so for us it was difficult to sleep. There were two twin size mattresses in the small loft, so there would certainly be enough room for kids. There were a few downsides for sure, first, they graciously give you a free bundle of wood, but I wouldn't try to light a fire with that wood again. We spent nearly three hours as quite experienced survivalists trying and failing to light that wood on fire, is was almost like particle board and there wasn't any kindling, quite an adventure for sure! Then there is that distance from any food, we spend a good amount of money at the nearby gas station shop because it was very overpriced. Overall we would suggest bringing your own firewood and food, and if you bring a pet, make sure you have a pet-friendly cabin. In all this was a wonderful getaway and we will be back! read more

It's too bad that a resort that is so poorly managed has to occupy such a beautiful beach. The staff repeatedly cited tribal rights as a excuse for poor customer service. Nobody took responsibility for things and things always seemed to be "out of their hands." The resort is set up to take advantage of people - poor signage, malicious enforcement, staff unwilling to compromise. Here are a few examples of my experience. Stray dogs - constantly begging, quick to tear apart bags of trash and spread them all around the camp site. Drunk locals - while we were sitting on the beach enjoying ourselves two people, who we assumed lived nearby, harassed us till be gave them a beer. Not a big deal, but annoying considering they charge you and enforce rules as if the beach is private. Threats of huge fines - there is a big red sign saying no fires north of the river, $250 fine. So we made a fire South of the river along with 8 or so other groups. Later that night at 12:30am security told us to put it out and threatened us with a $450 fine, later the office told us it was a $400 fine. In retrospect, we realized that they were just being highly incompetent or trying to solicit a huge bride. Both may be true. The funny thing is that when we told them that we would have happily complied if they had approach us 5 hours ago, but they said that their manager doesn't give them enough time to do their job and that they were too busy checking in late arrivals. But guess what?! There were two security guards! Meaning, one could have been checking in late arrival while the other one was helping guests understand how to comply with their ridiculous rules. The next evening as we were leaving we just see both of them in a their security truck on their cell phones "hard at work" when they could have been doing their jobs. All and all, the staff is incapable or unwilling to use the mental capacity to exercise their own discretion in order to address customer service problems. They will blame the Tribe, not accept responsibility and tell you where to shove it. read more

My father and I stayed here for one night. The price was $175.00 for one night! We were not happy about the price but when we got to our room we were thrilled. We each had our own room with full size beds and right on the beach! Dinning room, kitchen and balcony looking out the beach. Front desk staff on the phone and in person were less than personable. Excellent location, well maintained, recently renovated all the older cabins. Friendly staff and locals. Surrounded by National Park Wilderness Coast on 3 sides and Marine Reserve to the west, this whole town does a great job of keeping it low-key and rustic. New nice wood seating for 2-4 on porches; most porches are covered, a few are not. Dogs allowed in some cabins; be sure to specify or call in advance of booking. Wood stoves in most cabins but all have baseboard electric too, not as rustic but cleaner and easier. Local store is pretty well stocked; Forks is 12 miles inland for anything you can't find on-res. But try and support the locals and pick up what you can there in La Push. We usually pick up some smoked fish, it's easy to find. Wifi is limited to motel and its parking. Best bet - unplug and relax But it's there if you need it. We've taken to staying here several times a year, and have always had a great time. read more

Fantastic resort, staff, beach etc. The floor to ceiling windows in our cabin made the stay outstanding. Full view of the beach, crazy weather outside, beach combers and wild life. Power was out at check-in, staff didn't know how to handle the situation very well, but in their defense, it probably doesn't happen often and front desk agents kept upbeat, friendly service despite the stress. I've stayed here a few times over the years, and enjoy it more and more each time! The beach side cabins are wonderful, and we loved the condo style rooms during this trip! The rooms are well updates, provide excellent kitchenettes with everything you would need to cook all meals, have high quality, comfortable furniture, and very spacious bathrooms! Also, there is a large patio or deck off of each room with beautiful views of the beach and water! I will continue staying our here every time I visit Washington, it is well worth the hike out! read more

Let me start by saying how much I originally loved this place. To the extent that I proposed to my now wife last year on 2nd beach. Our first visit was amazing the room was perfect they have everything you could need or want. And the beaches are beautiful perfect for gazing for hours or reading a book and forgetting everything about city life. Fast forward to this past Easter Sunday we where in much need of some la push charm and the night started pretty great beautiful sunny skis a clean room and than Monday morning came around it had to be about 6 am and heard something moving around scratching, me looking outside I noticed a seagull figured it was just a bird making the noise. I close my eyes try to get back to sleep only to be woken up by my wife in a panic screaming that their was a rat in the kitchen. I shot up and realized their was a mouse alive stuck to sticky trap wrapped in my phone charger. For myself this soured my trip I've never stayed anywhere and was woken by a rodent. I called security to come get the mouse and trap and they responded fairly quickly only to laugh and find the situation amusing and banging the mouse on floor with my phone cord still wrapped around the mouse. Only for me to get back a bitten up soiled charger that no longer worked. And what made me write this review was at check out the lady asked how was your stay and I said I was great only to be woken up by a mouse and she shrugged said I heard about that you have a wonderful day. zero care or concern not even an apology. I know it wasn't her fault but c'mon is this a regular thing that your not even apologetic or in anyway try to make things better. Needless to say we packed up and left in a hurry and not planning on going back anytime soon. Sucks because we really loved this place. read more

We have stayed here twice. Once in the cabins and now at the hotels. We didn't like the rustic cabins we loved the hotel. The view is amazing. The bed is a little hard. The room was very clean. However, they don't give many towels and no room service is given. We brought extra towels. We would come back. But keep in mind there are no extras. It's not the Hilton brand. But overall we really recommend this place! Don't hesitate to come here. The people are not overly friendly but they are not rude either. read more

We've stayed here many times over the last 30 years. Over that time, the facilities have been upgraded significantly. If you haven't been in the last 5 years, you're in for pleasant surprise. The motel portion (The Thunderbird and Whaler) have been completely remodeled. The rooms are large with full kitchens and nice beds. We were on the 2nd floor of the Thunderbird, and had great views of First Beach, James Island, and the great white chum (aka surfers). Gone are the old creaky floors and peeling linoleum. Great hiking on the beaches. In the winter, we've seen whales spouting at sea and tremendous storms crashing on the beaches. In May, there is a large gathering of eagles along the river for the salmon run. The only thing lacking is a really good restaurant. The local RiversEdge Restaurant gets mixed reviews. We prefer to bring our own food. Other food options are the burgers at Three Rivers Resort (6 miles up the road) or go into Forks (15 miles). read more

We were camping for 3 nights. First girl we've been dealing with said there was no more campground except on the left side of the beach or in a RV spot and she could make us a "deal" for this last one for 30$. So we took the beach for 20$ a night. Get there, with our touring bikes and a trailer... gigantic beach wood, no easy access AT ALL and you have to go over a creek with all your stuff, no sandy spots... So we went back to the office then got helped by someone else who gave us a real campground, still for 20$? We ended up meeting a local surfer who told us we shouldn't pay to camp on the beach... Seems like they just offer you whatever they feel like, this is just all weird and confusing. Campsite are on a tiny piece of kinda forest between all the RV's witch was fine for us but very windy and cold! Portable toilet on site... it's mostly an RV place so they all use their own i guess. The store got showers and toilets in the back, they are obviously never cleaned so don't touch anything! Still, you can wash your hand with soapy hot water, i appreciated that. Showers use 25c for 3-4 min of hot water, i needed about 75c for a shower. On the bright side: Great spot, great view and nice beach! Sea lions swimming around. If you have a car you might consider camping at Second beach or Mora campground and just come at first beach for the day. read more

This place has great views, very clean rooms, great staff and at a very reasonable price. My only complaint would be the same complaint I always have when I do not get a top room floor. You really hear the walking above you! I would highly recommend at least for the time of year I went which was April 18th. The RV campground exceeded all expectations. Even the weather was fabulous. You are within steps from the beach. Only cons were stray dogs on the beach, and fireworks into the wee hours one night. But, I'm not complaining. Our only regret was not booking more days. There is so much to do in the area, plus...just relaxing and walking the beach, next time we will book for a full week. Made reservation 2 months ahead. Drove out 5 hours only to find they had cancelled our reservation. They claim they called about a "credit card problem" (I had my cell/home phone with me. No such call was ever made unless they misdialed). Manager was away for a few days. Had to stay in their "emergency motel room" until they put us in the room we reserved. Hard matress, loud neighbors, broken shutters. The luxury room we reserved was fantastic. Later I left 2 messages for the manager to discuss the failed reservation. Never received a call back. Great location and the luxury accomodations are excellent. I would reconfirm the reservation several times before the vacation date though. read more

This is for RV area. $45 a night for a lopsided gravel parking lot. The ONLY pro is that it faced the beach. The beach was littered. The showers are gross individual caves that are $3 (in quarters mind you) for 6min. Total rip off after paying the damn $45. Now on to the worst: the FIREWORKS. They sell them all over the rez and yep you guessed it, we heard them all night being launched on the beach that I paid $45 to camp on. I lay there wondering if the RV would catch on fire - or worse yet, some poor sucker's tent. Also a car kept driving in circles, shining headlights in the windows. The kids couldn't sleep and the dogs were freaked due to heart jolting fireworks. This is a "private" beach that's part of the resort that has a no fireworks sign. What a joke. Around 12am I drove to a turnout and slept on the side of the road. read more

really? what can i say that hasn't already been said. stayed in the thunderbird and the room was basic but clean and nice. there was no telephone, no tv, no wifi signal (in the room) but....IT WAS RIGHT ON THE BEACH and the view was amazing. This is close to First, Second and Third Beach and you get to drive through Olympic National Park to get there. There is not much in the area. A decent size convenience store and one place to eat. If you can, plan to bring your own food. There was a kitchen in our room. For the price we paid and its location i highly recommend this place. read more

Great views! We stayed in the motel part, in a 2nd story room. The first floor is the 'partial view' rooms because you can't see the water - it's blocked by the dunes. The 2nd floor costs $30 more, and its worth it if you want to sit on your balcony and enjoy the view - all the motel rooms face the ocean. We were in a studio that was nice - big windows, baclony. Kitchen had small fridge, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker (and coffee). All was very clean, bathroom very big. We stayed 2 nights and walked out to the beach for the sunset both nights. The 2nd and 3rd Beach trailheads are just down the road. There is a small store and a coffee place right there, and a reservation-owned restaurant a couple blocks away. We stopped in Forks and got breakfast stuff as well as a take-n-bake pizza and a bottle of wine. read more

We loved how our room was right on the beach. It's always cloudy in LaPush, we stayed here because I'm a Twilight Fan and wanted to relive First, Second and Third Beach from the book. We hiked to the three beaches, they are only 5 min drive from the hotel, so convenient! The views of the beach was beautiful. The accommodations are very lovely and modern, we liked having warm tea in our hotel. It's very clean too. read more

Stayed in cabin number eight. Easy walk to the beach, to the restaurant, and grocery store. We just happened upon this place and looked for a place to stay just for the night. Only thing available was a $99 A-frame cabin with no shower. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised the cute cabin. Bed was comfortable it was cool to be able to light a fire in the morning in our cabin and it had almost everything we needed except a hot shower. But for the location it was a good value to us. read more
