Dave recently helped me out with an odd project--a poster-size wedding certificate for my sister's upcoming wedding.

Walked in today around 10:30AM and got a very nice welcome from both their employees Kay and Mary. Right away Kay wanted to know if she could help me find something. I wasn't sure what I really needed, but a few things caught my eye and I grabbed them. Got 2 scented candles in a glass. Both together was $53.98. I also saw couple of heart shaped candies that were so cute, but very expensive. I put them back. They had a lovely, pretty section for Easter. Grabbed a pack of light blue medium size paper plates count of 10. $10.50 and that's all I got on this visit. Paper Source is a good place to get all your arts and crafts fixes. From Stationary, to Wedding Invitations, Cards for any occasions, stuffed animals, stickers, artificial flowers, vases, wrapping papers, scrap books, Gifts/Gift Cards, Office Supplies, Custom Design, knick Knacks and a whole lot more. A very BIG store & a very EXPENSIVE store! Can get a bit dangerous. So watch your wallet. Store was fully stocked, organized, clean and only street parking. No restrooms for their customers. Established in 1984 and still going strong!!

Large selection of heavy paper for fancy gift wrapping or even framing. Most were about $10 each. They had a sale on some cards for custom design, with practically every color imaginable, in their Paper Bar. I liked their book section and bought a children's book. In a back nook are kids' toys and rubber stamps for adults. Service is excellent and friendly. They have a free and premium frequent customer memberships, the latter for $30 a year. AND since Paper Source is affiliated with Barnes & Noble, I know where to use my B&N gift card!

I would not recommend this business. I've reached out multiple times via their website (no…read moreresponse) & tried calling several times (no answer) in the last month. I'm not sure it's even still open for business.

My now husband and I met with Jennifer from Woo Paperie after our wedding planner recommended her…read moreas her top choice for us. When we met with Jennifer, we appreciated how she took time to understand our vision, and even had some cardstock nearby to show us some options on Zoom. We ultimately hired her to create our Save the Dates and wedding invitations as she seemed personal and friendly. When I sent Jennifer inspiration for what we wanted our paper products to look like, she created an almost identical version of what we sent her. This could be perceived as a good thing as she created our vision, but at the same time I hired her so she could put her creative spin on it. Anyone can order invitations off of various websites, so I was surprised when she pretty much copied the inspiration almost exactly instead of making it her own while sticking to a theme. There were also a few times where it took several days for her to respond to emails. It would have been nice to receive an away message from her so I knew she would get back to us. Without an away message, working with her was stressful at times, especially with deadlines. One incident that rubbed me the wrong way was when I emailed Jennifer addresses for our Save the Dates, spoke with her on the phone about how to improve the etiquette (mainly the order of the names), and submitted the new list to print. Even after I spoke with her, the original list (before the edits) was printed. Luckily the addresses were correct, but I felt frustrated that the new list was not printed. I then realized that in the fine print the first list emailed is printed, so I take responsibility for not reading that closer. Regardless, it seemed strange to speak to me on the phone in the first place if the intention was never to print the updated list. Overall, I didn't completely trust that Jennifer would respond to my emails efficiently, and I therefore felt a bit on edge working with her, especially when it came to other paper products that had shorter and tighter deadlines. I think she means well, but I prefer to work with vendors that answer emails within 24 hours (excluding weekends/holidays) and put their creative spin on projects, especially since it costs more money to hire someone than do it yourself online. With all that said, I am grateful that Jennifer helped us stay within budget, and the paper products we received from her were of high quality. It's just too bad there was a rough journey to the destination.

Michaels is my go-to stop if I am working on an art project or looking for craft inspo. It's also a great place to find kids crafts and activities. They even have a selection of squishies, toy cars and more. Historically I have had a hard time finding any help on the sales floor, but this most recent visit was the opposite! I wanted to get some sharpies and they had to be unlocked from a cabinet. Someone helped me right away! I recently got a really cool piece of wall art that I am super excited about! They have a lot of great home decor surprisingly. Keep an eye out for their sales! Some of their pricing can be a bit high, but the sales make it worth it. If you are looking to start a new project, get into the holiday spirit (any holiday) or freshen up your home decor, Michaels is it!

After using my 50% off and then a 25% off they gave me, I got it down to $38. *Whew!* Plenty of free parking here, although it gets busy because of all the restaurants and other businesses.
