Quiltique is the best quilting store in Southern Nevada. I have shopped there since it opened. I have seen it grow from a small store to the successful store it is today. All the growth just to meet the wants of their consumers. They have so many beautiful fabrics, classes and sewing machines. It is a delightful store! If you haven't been there you are missing out. As far as the customer service goes, I have never experienced poor service. If I did I would try to be forgiving because everyone has a trying moment. I bought a $35 dollar LARGE tote bag kit. I open it up, ready to start sewing. I take out the main fabric-- looks about 20". Hmm thats weird, I think, Its supposed to be 24". I measure it, and it comes out to about 18". The medium was suppossed to be 20", and the mini much smaller. Not only that, but the store was set up randomly, without rhyme or reason. I was there for 3 hours, just to buy that ONE kit and a yard of batting, to go with, because that stuff never comes with, and 6 fabrics, 2 yards each, which isnt all that much. Took over an hour to check out, when it would take MAYBE 30 minutes at JoAnn's if there was a line. Not only that, but it was my first time there, and, after I take the kit back, it will be my last. Yeah shopping local! This place is HUGE! I had only 30 minutes to shop so it was tough to take everything in. I stuck with fat quarters as my time was limited. Even so- above each section was a nice representation of the bolts. Quiltique had a few hard to find Tula Pink, kimberbell (maywood studio) and ghastlies fabrics. They had heaps of samples and an entire room of sale items. While I was walking around someone was helping a customer sign up for a class (patience of a saint) and I asked about living in the area. Horrible customer service I'll never shop there or use any of there services again. I took my Bernina machine there for basic cleaning service and the tech there does not know much about machines they basically called me lier and when they spoke with Lynn who has worked there since the beginning and she verified what I said was correct they never apologized for calling me a lier They are very rude horrible customer service not friendly at all I recommend to go to Sew Yeah Quilt shop they have a better selection of fabric much better prices and charge 1/2 the cost to have your sewing machine serviced. Quiltique is absolutely a top notch quilt/fabric store! I was visiting Las Vegas recently (August 2018) and always try to check out the local quilt shops since so many where I live, Northern California, are closing. I try support as many as possible in hopes of them being able to stay open. Quiltique is one of the best quilt shops I've visited in quite a while. The shop is open and airy and has tons and tons of fabric! When I entered, I was instantly greeted by two different ladies at two different cutting stations with a nice "hello". After looking around on my own, I walked up to the counter to ask a quick question. The lady was very helpful and friendly. When I returned to have my fabric and supplies I found in the wonderful sale room, again I was greeted happily. We chatted while she cut my fabric and materials. Since they didn't have some of the exact fabric I was looking for, she offered suggestions of other local shops to visit. :) I wish I had this wonderful store in my hometown - I'd be there weekly. Then, to my surprise, when I arrived home from our vacation a beautiful card was waiting for me in my mailbox. WHAT - this has never happened to me before! The card was handwritten and thanked me for visiting their shop. Michelle also referenced our conversation about my daughter in the card. WOW!! Talk about feeling like my visit really mattered to them. I will definitely visit this store when I'm back in Las Vegas and will most likely order some fabric online from Quiltique, as well. Very poor customer service. Unless you're a Bernina owner, then it's all big smiles. Took my Babylock embroidery machine in for service. Never received a callback regarding a part I wanted to purchase. When asked, the clerk made excuses that it was the technician's fault. No stitch out of embroidery. Again, the poor tech's fault. She took no ownership of it. And the machine is still throwing oil. I've been looking at upgrading to a new and larger embroidery machine. Guess where I'm not buying it. read more

I have been in to Quiltique a couple times with my wife, and every time we come out with a purchase, we are always unhappy with the customer service. This last time we were never greeted coming into the store, no one offered help and treated very poorly when we were rung up. Waited on by Heather H (according to our receipt) and she was horribly rude: snappy, ungrateful attitude, dirty looks and just plain unhappy. How are you in a customer service position with such rude manners? And you want people to keep coming back??? It never makes sense. It's a nice shop for fabric but we won't be coming back again. Nothing but rude, sour people working here. I will gladly pay shipping for my wife to shop for fabric online than deal with this treatment again. read more

I love that they have expanded hours of operation to include Saturday hours. The staff is warm, welcoming and helpful. I'm a novice and they are very helpful in helping me select fabrics and notions. I really WANT to like this shop. I do. I've been here a few times and I have never purchased anything. Why would I go there repeatedly and not buy anything, you ask? Because I refuse to support stores/shops who do not have even the basic level of polite customer service. If you've ever read any of my reviews, you know I am a stickler about customer service. I've worked in multiple customer service fields and I KNOW what little amount of effort it takes to be decent and acknowledge someone's presence. Each time I have gone to this shop, I have NEVER EVER been greeted. Not even a "hello". It's ONE SIMPLE WORD that changes the whole experience! I went into the shop with full intentions of purchasing multiple yards of at least 2-3 fabric patterns, plus additional accessories. I would have honestly been a gauranteed $100+ sale for the evening. Seriously. Instead, I walked around the store, passed by SEVERAL people working, talking about their personal lives, ignoring the fact that a customer was present, and was browsing at fabrics they were working with! Not even hello, excuse me, how are you, can I help you. I even walked directly past an employee, we made eye contact I SAID HELLO and there was nothing. NOTHING. Really?!? NOT ONE WORD WAS SAID TO ME for the duration of my whole trip. I made it around the shop and doubled back to check some prices. It's not like I popped in and out too quickly for anyone to even notice. If you don't want to interact with people or customers, find I different job. Seriously. I wanted to keep coming back and giving more chances, because honestly, it is a nice shop, it is nice to support family owned stores. Plus, a good friend LOVES this place (5 star review) and I figured, "hey, everybody has a bad day now and then"... I've read all the reviews. It seems like they go in cycles - either that or you just get the luck of the draw depending on when you go in and who is working. So, after not even one simple word from anyone in the store, I left - drove down the street to JoAnn's where I was greeted with a cheery "hello, welcome to JoAnn's" upon entering the doors, I browsed and was offered help which I declined as I knew exactly what I wanted and knew the process. Then, due to their friendliness and their simple greeting, I SPENT MY HARD EARNED MONEY THERE. Simple as that. Had someone taken the time to say hello, I would have likely shopped at Quiltique. Instead, I spend $100 elsewhere, which was cheaper so kind of a bonus for me anyway, but you can imagine that my bill would have been a bit larger had I been acknowledged at Quiltique. I was so excited to go to this shop today - I was there right at 10am because I have a vision of a quilt and needed supplies. When you walk in its bright, clean and well organized. The first person I encountered was awesome. She heard my vision and was like 'new to quilting? Awesome!' I was elated! Then while I was waiting for her I encountered another employee that was... Not rude but not very helpful and definitely treated me as if is as in the wrong place. First, I was dressed down - leggings and a sweatshirt, my tattoos that are cool by my standards, no makeup, hair up - what I call Friday errand casual, I didn't have my wedding ring on and I had my extremely well behaved toddler in tow so she could have looked at me and thought "not our client base" BUT when she was talking to me she kept repeating how expensive, hard and not for me quilting was. When I started explaining my idea she wasn't listening and she interrupted me twice. By the end of our time together it was obvious she didn't get my vision and had no desire to make the effort. I tried more than once to walk away and browse alone but she stayed right with me watching me look at things and commenting about their price. Talk about annoying. I asked for specific products and she told me multiple times how it wasn't right for me. "Self healing mat? Oh this one is xyz dollars and its a bit expensive for you", "circular ruler for cutting? You could use this one but it's $xyz", "classes? They START at $60 BUT it requires at least a $250 investment don't you think you should think about it?" Yeah, I do think I should think about it. Good point. Obviously you think I can't afford your products and you're treating me poorly. Talk about tacky. So, off I went to Joann's where I found a helpful sales person to explain some basics to me after getting me to sketch my vision on paper so she understood what I was talking about. A big sale later I'm on my way to my vision. This is a beginning quilter shop and Bernina dealership. They have so much of a little of everything that there seems to be no direction or focus. Obviously in this economy being too specific can't sell but I have no idea why I would recommend this shop. Classroom is large w modern quilts w simple piecing along the walls. Staff is fine but not too solicitous. Treated like a customer I bought a busy appliqué pattern and the comment was " oh you must have patience." Hello all quilting is going to take time. Engage me with more encouragement or bonding. The selection of books was light and they like patterns are scattered all over the place. I am a Beginner Plus Quilter with advanced and expensive taste. My home quilt shop {SewVacLTD Long Beach) I was taught early to appreciate the finer swiss Bernina Machines. They are expensive but maintain trade-in value so you can work up toward your dream machine, Can you say 830? One of my newest travel passions has become visiting quilt shops. In Vegas last weekend, I had a chance to meet the team at Quiltique. If I lived near Quiltique I would probably have to start a quilters anonymous meeting before I found a way to move in, When you walk in you are met with high ceilings, color and samples everywhere and a labyrinth of discovery. There are amazinq quilt projects hanging on every free surface. There are fabrics for every style of quilter and they move them so quickly that there are are always two racks, long full racks, of sale fabric and other products to go with them. The classroom is big and open and welcoming. The cutting room for the kits is roomy, organized and inspiring and of course, they were selling Berninas. As for the staff, they are mostly amazing. I was a little disappointed to be near a conversation between an owner and sales person while they talked about a customer on the phone. They were discussing whether she trying to get a price to bargain with her local dealer. It was also possible they wanted to work with Quiltique. I would. There were a couple of other weird little moments like that, but overall the shop is amazing. Overall, I am so jealous and in awe. The only reason I didn't give Quiltique 5 stars is that their knowledge of how to do this right may have edged in to the arrogant. read more

I drive across town (long way) to visit Quiltique and in the past have spent quite a bit of money and taken classes there. To my delight, I won a $25 gift certificate a couple of weeks ago. My friends were with me and heard that the prize was a $25 gift certificate. I went to use it today and was told it was only 15% off purchase. When I questioned what happened I was told it's 15% off. After going to talk to someone in the back, the clerk returns to tell me the gift certificate was for $15. Going back on a gift certificate has left a really bad taste in my mouth as well as my friends who were there. Don't like the business practice! read more

I was in Vegas for a meeting, and noticed the Bernina sign -- just had to stop. It is a beautiful, clean and well stocked fabric store. So many high quality brands, I had a hard time deciding what to get. There is a lot of inspiration in the form of quilts, handbags, and some clothing items displayed. This is a stop I always make with my soon to be mother-in-law whenever she comes to town. When Mother's Day was approaching, I knew it was the perfect place to get her a gift. I went in to browse and picked up a few items that I remember her mentioning from our last visit. Everyone was so sweet and helpful when I explained why I was there. When it came time to check out, the wonderful woman who rang me up (so sorry I forgot her name!) was so kind and truly excited for the gift I was putting together. A few days later I got a hand-written letter in the mail thanking me for shopping with them and ensuring me that my mother-in-law to be would love the package for Mother's Day. And she did! This was my first trip to the store and was taken by my mom who is making a quilt for me and wanted my input on fabrics. I had been warned, even by my mom, that their customer service isn't the greatest. To our surprise we were greeted by someone right away who was extremely helpful in finding exactly what I was envisioning. Being a younger female and covered in tattoos, my mom said I would have had a cold reception had I gone in there on my own. Unfortunately we witnessed this exact thing with another customer while we were there. A must go for any quilter in Vegas. The shop is in Henderson, about twenty minutes from the Strip. It is easily accessible from the freeway. Amazing collection of fabrics and patterns. Despite being busy, they take the time to answer questions and help pick out fabrics, rulers, and notions. The Bernina saleswoman is friendly and very charming. I yelped Quiltique prior to my vacation. Easy to find via Google Maps with no problem. A friend of mine at work recommended I stop to visit. No regrets. I was greeted by friendly faces as I entered. Felt welcomed. I spent an hour or so grazing & touching fabrics. Ah it was like walking into a candy shop. In one room the gals were working on sandwiching their project with basting spray each had their own table to work on. I was in awe as I walked into The "SALE" room wall to wall filled with fat quarters & fat eighth galore in all the rainbow hues! It felt like heaven! Darlene was very friendly & helpful! It was definitely a kid in a candy shop moment if modern is your thing. The only down side is the fabric was a bit More expensive that other shops but the selection was worth it. Wow! Very disappointed. I'm a fairly new resident to Henderson so my boyfriend bought me a pj bottom sewing class in September of 2017. Unfortunately I had to have a 2nd hip replacement with a hip revision & a fractured femur. So after a year of recovery I went to redeem my class and was told it was only good for 6 months. Not once were we notified. When he canceled in October of 2017 they said we had a store credit . Bad form lost a great customer! read more

A friend of mine was heading to Las Vegas last week and I HIGHLY recommended she check out the shop. I was totally embarrassed today when she told me about the behavior of the owner when she was in the shop. Rude, snappish and dressed like she was working in the yard instead of in a place of business. Everyone has a bad day now and then but don't take it out on your customers, especially one who came with an empty suitcase expecting to need the space for all her purchases.
