Good ol Quinlan's. I stumbled across this beloved dive while looking for another establishment , who turned out to be closed. Sooooo glad they were because I've found my new go to dive bar. The ambience reminds you of one of those cool neighborhood bars that you see on tv. Where Everyone is in their on vibe and enjoying their drink, laughing and having a good time. I instantly felt at home. I grabbed a seat at the bar and was greeted in a good amount of time. The Handwritten menu on the wall bared unbeatable prices. Im talking $5-8 apps, $9-12 MEALS. They had a variety of choices including meatloaf and the highly recommended smothered pork chops. I went with the burger. I ordered mine To go with cheese. While I waited for my burger, I met 2 gentlemen at the bar who made me feel welcomed. For that alone, I'm going back! The service was not the fastest but the pours were crazy!! I'm talking huge! They can move as slow as they please with those type of drinks LOL Now let's get to this burger. It's gooooood!!! I got home and added a little more seasoning (I love me some garlic salt ) and I was in burger heaven. I asked for extra pickles and they were SOOOOO good. I'm a pickle lover and these are top 2! Almost comparable to Clausen! The fries were piping hot, super yummy and well seasoned! A handmade burger with fries for only $8.75 in 2022?? You can't beat it!!! My friend at the bar said they have live music from a 1 man band on Mondays and a dj on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They also have a patio where you can smoke and watch the game. I loved it! I am usually in class until 10 so. I look forward to a late night wind down. The music is great, the ambiance, staff, food and drinks. The prices are great... I mean look at this board. The drinks were good and not watered down. I ordered the hot wing appetizer but beware there is no sauce on it, it's dry. So ask for the side of Louisiana if you want to add a little wetness. They package the food "to go" around the night time which is great and sanitary, and they have hand sanitizers all around the bar. I love that!! Their bartenders were cool, can be a little slower when it's a lot of people. Would definitely go back and can't wait to. I've found my hidden gem! And yes the food is good too! It's not just a drink OR food spot. It's both. Nothing too fancy either. Laid back cool ambiance. Okay so, had to knock it down to 4 stars because they did mix my card and another patron's up. Like literally, charged my food to his card and his to mine (luckily his was cheap). That was a huge no no. How does that even happen? Luckily, the patron came back and was nice about it but that's an inconvenience and we still had to order a new card just for security purposes. 1 star bar! I would do negative 1 if I could. Over a period of years and noticing several infractions with customers, this place has officially become toxic by its owners....especially Eileen and Kevin. My card has been charged when i never had it in my possession (so we're keeping cards on file???) it was literally in my jeans since 2 days prior. They have banned people with no considerable cause. Several DUI's due to over pouring of drinks. The bartenders are intoxicated most times and can't keep track of most of the tabs. I can't what else happens here! There's also a DJ who comes in weekly, BBQ truck one night...these are just a couple of the great examples of the entertainment they bring in--and they're always playing great music too. The staff always provides great, lively and positive service. A great and extensive menu for being a fairly small pub. I've been hearing about this local joint for a while now, and we finally got to try this place out. We walked in and it definitely gave me the right local bar vibes, everyone was very friendly, including the staff. It was quite bizarre that in the middle of July, there was someone dressed like Santa Claus sitting at to the right, however we won't let this affect the rating of the place. Although this bar was very packed, the bartender still found us and took our order promptly, they pour heavy at this bar so come prepared for a good time. I came out on a Friday night and this place was quite the popular spot.  I actually came out to watch a game and drink some beer, eat something good, and this place had it covered.  I soon realized that I was the only one really watching the TV's after my game ended.  I wish the beer selection was a little more craft.  I would have easily spent more time chilling here if they had a better beer selection.  I was very happy with my stay but the overall experience was lacking.  Having a DJ would have been that missing ingredient for the perfect Dallas Nightlife experience.  Luckily I know the perfect DJ for the job. Finally... Quinlan's is what we've been looking for... yes sir, yes sir, yes SIR, this place was a great little dive. Maybe not even a dive... but definitely a hole in the wall. Narrow and cozy. Some friends of ours told us we needed to try Quinlan's a while back, so I bookmarked it. So glad we finally made it in. The vibe was immediately fun and full of good energy. There was a small covered patio with TV out front, but the weather was kind of gross... We'll check that out in the spring. The interior was narrow and crowded. We were lucky to find a table... last one open, if I remember correctly. Not a bad seat in the house, really. The table next to us had a couple of their regulars, and we enjoyed chatting with them throughout the evening. I loved their menus being on big chalkboards above the bar. Very handy. Their bottled beer selection was also clearly visible, which I always like. Decent beer selection but not amazing, which fit this little bar just fine. I'm a beer snob... except when I'm not. Specials here? $1.50 PBR, and... wait, what? You know, I'm not a big PBR guy (someone recently informed me PBR is now cool, but I found hilarious), but for $1.50... sign me up. So I had a PBR draft and got a top shelf marg for Mamacita. I'd read about these on Yelp... but it still impressed. She loved it, and took her time on it... It was clearly strong. (More on that later.) The woman who made the top shelf marg seemed to be running the show behind the bar and in general. I asked her name, and sure enough, it was Quinlan herself. Later on, she seemed to be getting off her [self-imposed] shift... and then she came around and sat at the bar. I thought that was cool. Clearly she takes pride in this place, and everyone working there seemed to be chill and enjoying themselves. She's done a good job. There are a few TV's inside, and people were enjoying various college football games. Dig it. There were even a few people on the patio in the miserable cold wet weather enjoying a game on the outdoor TV. Dig it. By the time we left, my wife was definitely feeling the margarita. It was STOUT. When I took her to our final spot for date night - Jaxx Steakhouse - she was quickly realizing she was drunk. She'd had 2 beers and the 1 - just 1! - top shelf marg. And that drink put her OVER, man. It knocked her on her ass! So I'm guessing there were 3 drinks in it, basically. People say Quinlan has a heavy pour... that was clearly the case here... We'll be back. Can't wait to try the food. And knowing I can get Mamacita a top shelf marg for $8 that's equivalently 3 drinks... well hot damn. Good times. read more

So, I decided to finally try this place out for the 1st time yesterday (Saturday) after reading the reviews & word of mouth. All I wanted was some good food & a strong drink & that I got plus more ! I was hoping for the bar to be a bit bigger on the inside but it was quite small. Which also probably attests to why the crowd seemed so in-tuned with each other. I sat at the bar & looked at the boards to figure out what to eat. Couldn't really make my mind up so I asked the lady sitting next to me, who now is a friend I can step out with, what was best. I think regulars just kind of have this vibe they give off that they come there quite often. Ultimately we finally got the bartenders attention & I ordered the brisket sandwich w/fries & a tequila sunrise. The sandwich wasn't too bad & the fries were nice & hot. Thankfully they provided paper towels cause I would've had BBQ sauce everywhere! Later, I ordered a well drink (tequila & cranberry), of course I order the same drinks everywhere I go, sip up & enjoy the vibe. Now this glass I had to drink slow oh baby let me tell you my ice was melted before I even got half way & it was still strong ! That's a big thumbs up for me. If I'm not mistaken they cost $4.50. Anyhow throughout the night, I meet some really nice people & had some quite insightful conversations. I can only described Quinlan's Bar and Grill as my favorite neighborhood bar. It's a small bar with a patio tucked away in a shopping center. It is easy to drive pass it and never realize it was even there. Once you are in Quinlan's it's like you have known everyone your whole life. The crowd is pretty much all locals which are very friendly. The drinks are strong so if you don't have a high tolerance or an Uber this is not the place for you. It does not matter who your bartender is, the drinks are always good. Mike that works there is a magician, he can take 20 food and drink orders and everything will come out correctly. I have been several times with my friends and I have never had to send a ticket back because it was not correct. He will make sure you get exactly what you paid for. Let's talk about the food because that's why you are reading this right? From the finger food to a whole meal EVERYTHING I have ever had at Quinlan's is good. I pass by this place all the time and had no idea it was here. (It's in the same parking lot as Menas.) I came here for a happy hour after getting off work early. This was a really small bar but it was packed at 3 on a Friday which really surprised me. I met quite a few people here that night and they all seemed to be regulars and they were all so friendly. Luckily they had a heater outside on the patio but only on one side and if you want to be warm, you sit with people you don't know. They have $5. Margaritas all day and OMG they are strong!! Really good though. Everyone that worked there were super nice and all of them were really good with names (people always get my name wrong) apparently the owner is a childhood friends with one of the girls I was there with which was really cool. I think over all I liked this little place. Generally I'm not a fan of having to sit close together in a small place but I can get past it on this place since they won me over. read more
