He stayed on top of our group of eight as if we were his only customers, and we were not. He has a great personality and that is a bonus! I had the lemon chicken meal and it was so delicious. Went to meet friends for dinner. After everyone arrived, drinks served, orders were placed for 16 people. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A Wednesday night with the place less than 1/3 full, so it was relatively quiet for this type of restaurant and decent for conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Eventually one guy had his entree' Caesar salad served, which he finished before the next dish arrived. A few more came sporadically over another 15 minutes, the rest arrived in bursts like it should. The food arrived in the all too common practice of showing up tableside as the staff holds it above eye level while shouting "WHO HAD THE blah blah?", instead of using an order seating system and just quietly serving it without having to shout at everyone up and down a long table 16 to 30 times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Personally, this type of dinner service really bothers me as it shatters any ambiance the place may have had, and kills conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It shows the wait and kitchen staff lack training and organization skills, but worse, that they have no concept of what dining out is, or should be. This isn't the Catfish Shack guys, get a grip. Unfortunately, I ordered the Cobb Salad which was sub par made with hamburger toppings, factory diced iceberg lettuce, diced tomato, diced egg, diced avocado, with all appearances of being shaken out of a bag, unfortunately with the wrong dressing. Dressing was on the side, thankfully, so that was fixable by flagging staff and waiting another ten minutes. It might have been resolved faster had waitstaff asked how is everything??? The Cobb was 75% of an entree serving but more than enough given what it was. A friend had the glazed salmon and rice which looked very good, other entrees looked fair, some of generous proportion. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately , as this is a larger restaurant with nice covered patio seating, it is possibly the worst of the lot as Preston/121 location is top notch in comparison.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is in need of decent management, perhaps to train/retrain the whole staff. This was a very pleasant surprise. We live close to Village on the Parkway were there are many many restaurants. We had walked by this place several time on our way the the movie theater and decided to give them a try and we are glad we did. 1. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First thing you notice is the size of their patio which is Hugh. They allow dogs on the patio and there were several out there on our visit[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . We are dog people so it was fine with us . 2. We were greeted by a very pleasant young lady who asked if this was a first visit. She brought us a bowl of hand cut chip and it was delicious. 3. My wife had chicken lettuce wrap that she absolutely loved. I had a fried chicken sandwich that was very good too. I had a margarita and my wife had cucumber lemon drink that she really liked. Visiting from out of town with family. Saw the reviews on Yelp and wanted to try. I had the filet Kabobs with rice, hummus and sauce either grilled veggies. Hubby had the meatloaf which he devoured. Brother in law had the chicken fried steak and mother in law had the fish and chips. The women had leftovers the men did not. Our waitress answered all our questions. Come happy hour- they have discounted appetizers and drinks and everything we had was pretty good- by the time we finished I had a lot of leftover food so best to order less and if you're still hungry order some more. The deviled eggs are really good hot- with candied bacon, and fried. The hush puppies were good too- crispy outside and soft inside. Chips and queso are solid. The fried chicken nuggets weren't my favorite but lots of meat to share. My drink was the star of the show- love the cucumber mint martini. Our server was so, so sweet. This review is specific to the Addison location only, as we've had consistently positive experiences at other Lazy Dog locations. We stopped in for a quick late lunch before a movie, but unfortunately, the service was disappointing from start to finish. There was no greeting at the reception, and service at the table was extremely slow. The food was just okay, nothing memorable. We are always on the hunt for a good lunch deal. I much prefer to load up on a delicious cheap lunch and coast through dinner with maybe a cracker and a dream (and maybe a cookie and some popcorn!). I had heard about the $11 TV dinners they offer to-go here (and yes, I still want to try those), but today we were all about the lunch deal. Hubby went classic with the tomato soup and grilled cheese and bacon sandwich. Meanwhile, I threw the lunch deal out the window like a rebellious raccoon and ordered the Thai salad with a peanutty dressing. If you read my reviews regularly, you know this is wildly off-script for me. The menu claims this salad is 440 calories, but I have questions. Maybe if you only sniff it? That said, I got in my veggies and the salad was actually REALLY good...spoken from a gal who thinks salad is usually just a sad apology for not ordering fries. When I inevitably start my diet for the twelfth time this year, this salad will absolutely be in the regular rotation. And let's talk about service shall we? It's been a minute since I've visited a Lazy Dog establishment, don't ask me why, I forget. I forgot about their vast menu and the variety it has to offer. Jasmine our server made the experience that much more enjoyable. There was a party of 13 and She handle us with such ease and professionalism. The food was on point there was something for everyone to choose from; a bison burger to sushi. I actually had the grilled cheese and tortilla soup. Great Happy Hour deals! That's all I've been here for, but am sure their regular menu is just as good. We just stopped by for some drinks, they have some good solid apps for happy hour prices from 3-6 during the week and even on the weekends they have a late night happy hour from 9-11 pm. I had the watermelon marg and it was refreshing for these hot summer days! I'll definitely be back for some of their apps and food soon. Great service, it started getting packed after we arrived which was around 5:30 or so, so apparently I've just been missing out on this place. I'm pretty sure this restaurant was made just for me and my obsession with dogs. There are glorious dog-themed decorations throughout the space including larger-than-life pictures on the walls and bone shaped door handles. The only thing missing is an actual pup wandering around offering loves and licks to all the patrons. But I can imagine that the Department of Health wouldn't approve of that. I came here with a group from work and the service was attentive and friendly. The food was terrific-I especially loved the brussel sprouts and corn dog appetizers. The drink menu is plentiful and you can even become a member of their special VIP program and get quarterly glasses and discounts on booze. This is a place I'll happily return to when I'm in town. We had a bit of a rocky start during our visit to Lazy Dog at Village on the Parkway -- our food initially came out wrong, the beer from the keg didn't taste quite right, and the TV in front of us wasn't working so we couldn't watch the OU game. But here's where this location shines: the people. Our waitress, Sara, along with the General Manager, Dustin and the Manager, Cade, went above and beyond to turn things around. Went here a few weeks ago and ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Bowl, Korean Ribeye Bibimbap Bowl and also got some complimentary Garlic Parmesan Fries. The Mediterranean chicken comes with grilled lemon chicken breast, yellow rice, tomato-cucumber-feta salad, kalamata olives and tzatziki sauce. The Korean ribeye bibimbap comes with gochujang-marinated shaved ribeye, steamed rice, spicy carrots, pickled cucumbers, bean sprouts, spinach, sesame seeds, green onions and a sunny-side up egg. Both bowls were okay, but I wish they had more flavor to them. The garlic parmesan fries were my absolute favorite. They had a nice texture and were super flavorful.
