A good friend was having surgery this week and needed a really good local florist in her area (Astoria) so I turned to Yelp and Quinn Florist really caught my eye. I called this Monday and wanted to get an identical bouquet (Peonies and Cala Lillies) to what I saw in their most recent review because it was stunning! The reason I'm docking a star is because when I called Monday (expected delivery I needed was for Tuesday) the woman on the phone said she needed to go to the local flower market to see if they had peonies in store because all their flowers are super fresh - she said she would call Tuesday asap but never did..... Called Wednesday to see why I didn't hear back and a gentleman didn't know anything about that but said no peonies in store. So he recommended a flower I had never heard of called "stock" which would be something in the same dark maroon tone since I wanted a similar strong contrast to the long stemmed white cala lillies.
