Small bridal bouquet was on time and very reasonably priced. The only thing was I thought there was too much baby's-breath flowers so we had to cut some off for it to look more appropriate (at least to see some leaves peaking through). The leaves were also a little unevenly distributed, but it wasn't a big deal. read more

We found Creative Florist when I was looking for a florist to buy a ton of baby's breath from for my baby shower centerpieces. I explained what I wanted to do and he helped me figure out how much baby's breath I needed and had them ready for my husband to pick up the day before the shower so we could put together the centerpieces. My mom also asked him if he had any flower petals laying around that we could use for the blessing ceremony at the baby shower, and he was kind enough to give us a bag of rose petals that he had left. Unfortunately, my baby did not make it, and Creative Florist has been our go to for helping us with flowers for us to take whenever we go to visit our son's grave. During our first time visiting, we wanted to take 2 blue roses and a bunch of carnations, and since the blue roses weren't the freshest, he gave them to us at a discounted price because we still wanted them. He also made a beautiful bouquet for us to take over on our last visit, also with 2 blue roses and white carnations that we had preordered. I'm sure we will be coming to Creative Florist quite often to help us whenever we go and visit our son, and I'm grateful that they're in our neighborhood and do fantastic work. read more

I've been to this shop many times, and I've never purchased a bouquet from them, but I've purchased 3 different plants. I first got a lucky bamboo, then a flaming katy, and today, I just got a small money tree. Every time I go, staff is friendly and they answer my questions. Sometimes when I go, I'm just browsing and looking around, and I've never felt any pressure to buy like at other stores. They let me simply walk around and look at the pretty flowers and plants, and I appreciate that. If I bought a plant every time I browsed, I'd have no space to live and my apartment would be overflowing with plants! My only windowsill is already full now with the 3 plants I do have (but maybe I could get away with a squeezing in a small succulent or cactus? ...I have to have self-control though and try not to buy too many plants). If I ever need to get a bouquet or floral arrangement as a gift, I'll consider using their services too. The cut flowers I saw there looked very fresh! Even if my window sill is full, I'm also tempted to get a plant that's fine with lowlight to put somewhere else. Not sure where; need to figure that out before expanding my plant family. read more

While it may not seem like a great florist from the outside (or inside, for that matter) do not be fooled. This is a very good spot to get flowers. The staff is attentive and have never steered me wrong the many times I have frequented the place for either special occasions or just a no-occasion flower purchase. It is not a place that seems to have a huge selection but they always have what I want and have often recommended flowers I would not have thought to purchase. The prices are competitive and the flowers last longer than getting them at a non-florist. I dropped by the Flower Box a few days ago, looking to have a bouquet made for a special occasion but not expecting a whole lot considering it was the dead of winter. I was greeted warmly by one of the owners, who kindly obliged when I told him that I wanted to see the fresh flower selection before making the purchase. Even in the middle of post-blizzard February, I was happy to see that they had a selection that stretched far past your everyday colored roses (though those were there in vast color array as well). Had I given him only a budget and named an occasion, I'm sure he would have put together a beautiful arrangement, but I was picky about the color scheme and specified a few particular flowers I wanted in the mix. He amicably listened to all of my requests, even going so far as to inquire whether the recipient was Chinese so that he would not use flowers that might typically be avoided for their superstitious connotations. I'd named a general budget of $60, which resulted in an absolutely enormous and feisty bouquet that was later received by my in laws with gasping delight. If flowers aren't your thing, the front of the store is generously littered with all kinds of houseplants and my own eyes were selfishly drawn to the delicate hanging globe terrariums of succulents that are so in vogue lately. Whatever you end up purchasing, I'd advise folks to try and come prepared to pay in cash so you won't have to pay the tax (which, in my case, was an additional whopping five dollars). read more

Honestly, Flower Box came on my radar only because my go-to florist in Rego Park was 'evicted' in favor of a satellite campus for a for-profit school. Google and Yelp brought me here. Overall, it was a good experience. The store had an abundance of small and medium house plants. There were a number of bouquets available. The staff was nice and helped arrange my flowers nicely. For having walked passed 4 flower-selling markets to get here, I was hoping for a larger selection of flowers in the refrigerator. All in all, a solid place for flowers. read more

I was extremely disturbed to find that this florist shop sells baby red-eared slider turtles - an illegal practice (hatchlings under 4" long). The turtles were kept in a cramped container with just a tiny bit of water and nothing else; some turtles were literally on top of one another. The turtles were being sold cheaply as if they were toys and not living creatures. Worse, these turtles, purchased on a whim, are often abandoned or released, and they are a highly invasive species, harmful to local ecosystems. What this shop is doing is illegal, irresponsible, and cruel to animals. read more

I went into the shop wanting to order an arrangement for a birthday picnic the next day. I was very particular about my request, wanting a more unique, non-traditional look, and the shop attendant, Beibei, was so patient and listened and noted carefully everything I wanted (and didn't want). I was so surprised and happy at how well the arrangement turned out given the limited inventory they had that day, along with the rather limited budget I had set. It matched exactly what I had in mind, they did SUCH an amazing job down to the details of the nicely wrapped vase. The birthday girl LOVED the flowers and it got so many compliments at the picnic. I called this place spoke to jacky I expressed how important it was that I get the flowers delivered today and not tomorrow. He was very understanding professional and reassured me that he will personally deliver them within 2 hours. The review posted right before this one shocked me when I read it because I had a great experience. I ordered three different bouquets, two for Mothers Day (2 different addresses) and 1 for a later date. The flowers that arrived were gorgeous and were delivered RIGHT on time. One of the Mother's Day delivery times was 12pm and the other 5pm. The recipients were stunned at how beautiful the flowers were. One piece of advice though is that when they ask for the recipients phone number, give a different phone number as they will mess up the element of surprise (they called one of my recipients and told they "Hey this is the flower shop, your bouquet of flowers is on the way now"). Other than that they are excellent, timely, much cheaper than an online flower store and actually deliver on weekends (unlike online flower stores). I would definitely buy from them again and am actually considering using them for an upcoming wedding. read more
