Sadly, I cannot recommend this broker. I own multiple commercial properties and his very nice notary Melinda recommended I reach out to their office for a commercial insurance quote. I called Kurt Banks, the founder and broker. It took him two days to return the call. I very nicely began to share my policy limit requirements and he spent more than half the call explaining how busy he is and why he need to delegate the call to someone else. After giving him less than five minutes worth of information about my policy limits and asking him to refer it to his internal staff, he stopped me and asked me to have my staff connect with someone else. His web site claims that his office is "...small enough to provide the personal service you deserve..." which is false. When I politely informed Kurt I would seek out another broker because it didn't seem like he wanted the business, he abruptly hung up the phone. For notary, Melinda is amazing. For commercial insurance, they "suck". And I have never written a bad review about any insurance company, period. Think twice before you call them. The service is nothing like the web site claims and Kurt even had the nerve to say he took so long calling back because he thought I was a salesman. I reminded him that he was in sales and so am I, so it seemed an inappropriate comment. Stay away from this firm. They aren't good. And I have been their neighbor for 23 years. Hanging up the phone on a potential client? Unforgivable. read more

She is the most knowledgeable insurance agent you will ever find. You ask her any complicated question regarding commercial liability or workers compensation and there you go she has an answer for you. She is a walking dictionary of insurance. She will sell you only policies and coverages that you need from top rated companies. Nothing more nothing less. my hubby has been a client of cristina (tina) harrison for about 8 years. she has never been personable, though did her job. rarely returned phone calls though usually emailed. not customer service driven, though really that hadn't been a big deal in the past... it's not like you invite your insurance agent to your backyard parties. at least not this lady. so neither here nor there. until this year... when we got hit with an increase of 51% (yes, let me repeat that... 51%!!!) on our car insurance. when i called in to find out what happened... crickets. oh yeah... email only. she said it was because of rate changes approved in our area... and that we had an increase of 1000 miles in usage. first - that 1000 miles? no we didn't. mercury supposedly sent us a letter asking about our usage and because we didn't return it, they upped our milage by 1000. we never got the letter. and we didn't go up in mileage. and even if we had? 1000 miles is simply the tiniest amount you can go up! not worth a 51% increase! she also said that we had received a letter informing us of the increase and that we had 30 days to respond. oh? you mean the "letter" that was the gazillion page policy renewal, where there was no indication that it was going up except on page 4 where that 12-point type happened to change the number? there was NOTHING other than that. agreed - i should have read it more thoroughly. though after 8 years, you'd also think the agent might want to call and give a heads up... hey, this is happening, don't want you to be shocked... we were shocked when the auto deduction came from our account. we called in and got no response. oh yeah, christina only emails. so i emailed her and she said (and i quote her email) " Mercury had an overall rate change effective 12/01/2011. Some policies stayed the same, some policies increased a little and some showed a significant rate increase. Your policy increase is $xyz of which the major portion of the increase is the collision premium for each car. Part of the premium increase reflects claims paid for similar cars you drive in your zip code. Unfortunately, there is not much we can adjust to offset the increase other than offering a collision deductible increase to $1,000 with a savings of $xyz for 6 months or if you want to add an (ABC) policy we can add the multi policy credit with a savings of $xyz for 6 months. The (ABC POLICY) insurance would run you $xyz per year. Your policy includes the good driver and persistency discounts. " so not only does she not care, she's trying to give us crappier insurance AND sell us more policies! really!?!? when we started looking around at other policies, we found NONE were as high as the crap she was selling and in fact we saved money from the previous amount! when i emailed saying we were not going to renew with her, her only email was (again, i quote) " We will forward your request to Mercury to cancel the policy effective 02/01/2012. We will also forward your request to the billing dept to stop the 02/01/2012 deduction. " NO how can we keep you? NO we hate to see you go? NO we don't want to lose your business? this place could not care less. they really couldn't. especially christina. don't work with her unless you couldn't care less either and don't mind paying at least 50% MORE than you'd pay anywhere else. and i mean anywhere. it was ridiculous. read more
