The Sierra Outdoor Services found and repaired the broken valve then re-covered the hole with beautiful pavers that matched our back yard walkway's perfectly! They responded quickly and efficiently when other contractors were telling us it would be weeks before they could respond to fix the problem. 5 stars just isn't enough…read more I woke up one morning to a text from my mom with a picture of what looked liked a large branch which had broken from her tree. Her text said, "Tomorrow, on my day off, I'm going to saw it down to dump!" My mom is a bit older and very petite, so when I read this, I imagined mom with a hand saw in the middle of her driveway and I laughed and responded, "No, I'll take care of it for you." I live in Southern California and mom lives in Reno, so I couldn't just come over and clean it up for her, unfortunately. I first called waste management, they apparently don't do bulk pickups in Reno. I went onto Yelp and searched tree removal, stumbled across Greater America Tree Service and gave them a call. Mark, who answered the phone, was very professional and polite. I explained to him the situation, he asked me to text him the pictures mom had sent me. He responded with a fair estimate. Not even an hour later, I get a call and text back to let me know that they had finished. Talk about speedy service. What's even more awesome is they decided not to charge me. Apparently, the branch was a lot smaller than it appeared in the pictures. So they just went ahead and took care of it. Poor guys spent more on gas money to get out there! Bottom line, I would highly recommend Greater Nevada Tree Service and will be referring them to anyone in Reno that needs tree trimming or removal. Unexpected kind acts from strangers are so rare these days, my mom and I greatly appreciate what they did. Although it may not have been much work for them, it saved me a lot of worrying and saved my mom a lot of physical labor. Thank you again!!

Called the tree guys at 12:15 on a Tuesday. They answered, came over, and my tree issues were complete by 1:15 the same day (while it was snowing, mind you). They were friendly, professional, and gave great advice. They had just finished up a large job so there was a whole troop of them! Made the job go so quickly and gave me someone to chat with while I watched them work. I don't have a lot of tree needs, but if I do I will definitely be calling these guys up again.

I had 4 crabapple trees removed and 4 trees planted to replace the ones removed. Passion built did a great job removing the trees and cleaning up after the stump removal. They also did a fantastic job planting the replacement trees. They made the tree moat look great and lined it with rock and filled it with mulch. They also moved the drip irrigation into place and added drip to one of the new trees. I'd say that I was happy with the value I received from Passion Built. They were not the cheapest, but the quality of work and the guarantee to fix what they might break doing the work solidified the deal. They are a small local business and the owner came out and participated in the labor. I am very glad I selected this company for the job and I am very pleased by the quality work they delivered. The crewed showed up promptly on time daily and were very pleasant to work with. Through no fault of the landscape company there was a bad batch of sod from the supplier. I reached out to Dan the owner a few days later to let him know some of the sod was damaged. He showed up at my house within the hour to inspect what had happened. By the afternoon same day all damaged sod was removed and replaced. My lawn is beautiful now. I am very impressed with the quick response and resolution to an unexpected problem. Did the usual checked yelp and put together a list of 10 companies and asked facebook as well. Century Landscapes name came up so we added them to the list. Called 7/10 to come out and do bids, most were too busy but 3 managed to show up to walk our backyard and chat with some options. First company listened to what we wanted but had zero input more of an order taker versus a design, we opted to tell them to give us a bid and they never followed up despite emails and calls. 2nd company seemed nice but flat out told us work couldn't start till October (we were getting bids before memorial day), so they were out. Century was the 3rd company to come out and we had William listen to what we wanted for about 20 minutes and then add design ideas we didn't even think about. Told him our budget and timeline and he let us know what we could do with both. Final budget was on point not a dollar over the quote. The job itself was about our kids safety we had an old splintered deck, a pond that leaked, a grass border holding back some shale rock (very sharp not kid friendly stuff), and sorry looking grass. The team at century was able to do all the demo in one weekend, and start the prep work for 1500 sq/ft of pavers to replace everything aforementioned, and as an add on William and the design team constructed a great flag stone patio where the sorry looking grass was. Work went fast and when I had a concern all employees on site took the time to talk with me and fix the issue without any of the usual grumbling or difficulty some contract work entails. To summarize spend the time to talk with this company, and you wont be disappointed. Pricing they were right in line with the competition. Quality of work was outstanding. Communication was great (text/email/call they always responded). Thanks for getting our backyard a place we can enjoy with the kids again! P.S.
