When our addition was done the contractor never sealed the foundation. Needless to say, we occasionally would get water in the basement. Roger came over, dug a trench around the foundation, put in a drain and sealed the foundation. Even suggested an additional drain...which we did. When done, seeded the yard. Looks great!! I had mr Vaill do 2 seperate jobs 1 being my clogged sewer main drain the other being my water main line. Jobs were done about 3 months apart, 1 in feb 2018 the other in may 2018. Not only was he punctual, professional, reliable, honest, and the best price. Roger is old school he is the last of a dying breed. I refer him all the time there is no one better. In July 2020, Roger came to my home to pump the septic. I cleared the dirt and grass off of the two septic covers before he came. He removed the septic tank covers, put them back on and pumped the septic. I noticed when I went to put the dirt back over the covers that one the septic covers had large cracks. When he came to my house for an estimate on dry well at the end of July, I talked to him about the cover being cracked and asked him what he thought he could do. He said that he would try to find another cover that he had. He was contacted in August and September about the cover. In October, he took the cracked cover, replaced it with another cover and put dirt over both covers. The replacement cover did not fit the septic and was not in better condition than my old cover. I contacted him and he said that finding a cover that fit would be very hard. After some time, I asked him if he thought he could find one. He said there is no way that he could find a fit. I contacted him again and asked him if he thought he could find one that fit. He said he would try, but he couldn't promise anything. I contacted him again asking about the septic cover. He said the only way he could find one of those covers is if he does a septic tank replacement and he would keep looking. I contacted him again asking about the septic cover. He said that finding a cover that fits is slim to none. He said that the cover was damaged before he pumped the tank. I have pictures of the covers and it was not damaged. I contacted a local septic tank company and asked them if they had septic tank covers for my size septic tank. The septic tank company said yes they had them for $40 and they were all a standard size. In November and December, I contacted him about the septic cover. I called him at the end of December and talked to him about the septic cover. He said that they were already damaged. I asked him if he could find a septic cover. I sent him pictures of the septic tank covers before he pumped it. He said they were already damaged and that he would do his best to find one, but he couldn't promise anything. I contacted him in January about the septic cover and have not received a response. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, Department of Consumer Protection and the State Attorney General's Office. read more
