This is an Amazing Laundromat. It's always clean, convenient, has a beautiful view of Danvers River for you to sit out outside while waiting for your clothes to dry. Ralph, the owner is extremely polite with outstanding customer service skills . As soon as I park my car he comes right out to help me with my laundry. I have major spinal cord issues and trouble lifting laundry. When I come back to pick up my laundry Ralph always puts it back into my car for me. This is just amazing to me. It's a nice clean laundromat just a bit worn around the edges. Plenty of machines and dryers. They have 10 heavy duty washers ($5.50/load). I am washing 2 big comforters but I would come back to do regular laundry, if my home machine broke down. Recommended. read more

The laundry in building is so darn expensive, that the price is decent including tip. Ralph is a no fuss kind of guy which I like, and he helps bring my items to the car which I appreciate. The place is phenomenal. It was the best laundry experience that can be. You can enjoy the waterfront view while the clothes are drying. The staff there is something else. Went to Crane River Laundromat today because my washer was broken. They had lots of machines, everything looked clean and user friendly. The machines take quarters and they have a bill changer so you are all set. Owner was on the premises and was very helpful. I will definitely use them again. read more

I really like the peaceful vibe. The guy who runs it, perhaps the owner is really nice and helpful. He even gave twirlers out and I haven't had one in years!! I have laundry in my basement of my building but the machines aren't great never mind the stairs....but my point really is that even with machines downstairs in my building this place is way better!!! Yes, I'm in love with a laundrymat. And believe me, once you start going here, so will you. I've been using this place for years now, and every time I do, it actually makes me forget how much I absolutely despise doing my laundry. It used to be run by an old Italian couple and has since been taken over by one of their sons. He's really nice -he'll carry your laundry to and from your car, will let you use the house detergent in a pinch, keeps the place spotlessly clean and bright, and always has a pot of good coffee going for the customers. He's even kept up his father's tradition of handing out red twizzlers. The machines are reasonably priced and again, super clean. There are two TVs with full cable and the magazine rack even has the New Yorker!!! Oh, but it gets better my sweet yelper. It's located right in Danverport so on a nice sunny day, you can go out back, sit on on a rock and take in the very pretty view of the river. Or, if it's a crappy day or you're just in the mood for a beer or a slice, you can go right next door to Sam and Joe's and while away the drying time in a cozy family style restaurant/bar. So yes, Crane River Laundrymat totally rules and I highly recommend it! read more

This is as good as it gets. Very clean establishment, and an owner who really knows how to treat customers. I've rarely experienced such a friendly and honest style of customer service in any business. The wash and fold service is incomparable. Sadly I don't live in the area anymore...and the laundromats I've used since then pale in comparison. If you're in the area and are looking for a good laundromat, this is the one. I wish the owner would start teaching customer service to other business owners. A rare gem indeed. read more

For laundrymats on the North Shore this is definately the place to go! Although the building is older it is kept spotless. The attendant I think his name is Ralph is attentive and friendly. The prices are the best I've seen although I have only just started to use laundrymats. The only improvement that could be made is that a lot of machines are broken or not working if the owner fixed the machines so that you would not have to wait for the front loader the place would have gotten 5 stars. I used to do my laundry here weekly since it is local to where I live, I will not be going here again. First off, prior experiences were always mediocre. When washing my clothes, I have found pencils, reading glasses and other people's socks in my laundry as the units tend to scoop up stuff in the suction areas. (I am very confident the misc items were not mine) Recently, I went there at about 8:55 (last wash is 9PM) and I had a lot of laundry to do. I brought someone to help me to at least get it washed knowing they close at 10PM and dry it for as long as time allowed. The owner I believe, was very harsh with me when I walked in said "are you kidding me?" " You waited until the last possible minute" and "what have you been doing all day". I was at work all day is what I was doing. He had apparently shut off the water (which appears to simply be a switch or lever) and said I could try but after being barked at like that, I was all set. I have since found a place in Peabody that has all new equipment, free wi-fi (not sure if Crane has that) and are open until 11:00PM. They also have a couple of machines that take credit cards which I like since I don't always carry a lot of cash. read more
