Kostas and his team run a fantastic establishmen, courteous, professional and always do a stellar job. I've never had an order that was not laundered perfectly, folded and arranged by clothe type in the bag, making it easy to store away. They always deliver and pick up in time and take care and diligence with every item. Even items sent for dry cleaning to them have been returned spotless, with care given to delicate fabrics. In the rare occasion that something was not up to mark, they've offered an immediate redo and an offered to do my next order free of charge. Facility is clean. There are a lot of machines. Can be a bit crowded. Only complaint I have is that management did not give me credit for money that i accidently place in another working machine. It was only $2. I showed the manager and it was obvious mistake. He acknowledged. He even open and closed the dryer in which I deposited the money. I asked him if he could give me credit. He stepped away. I thought that he was going to give me a refund and never came back. He just ignored me. When it came time for me to load the next dryer, I approached him again with the question. He finally verbally answered me with a "no". It was weird that he never responded avoided answer my original question. It is so easy to place the money in the wrong dryer. In fact, another customer accidentally placed money into my dryer. In the end, I only lost $2, but it is really worth it to lose a customer over $2. read more

It doesn't get much better than this. It's hard enough to drag your dirty undies across town to clean them. This laundromat has the most friendly staff and clean waiting areas. I've been doing my laundry here for six months, and I've never had an issue. Highly recommended- even if you live a few miles away. It will be worth the drive. read more

Every time I have my laundry done by professionals, it makes me want to get a second job so that I can afford to always have my laundry done by professionals. Melrose is no exception! They are fantastic. We used them during our vacation because the hotel we were staying at did not have on-site laundry facilities. We dropped off two loads in the morning, then picked them up in the evening, all clean, fresh, and nicely folded. Some of my clothes actually looked better after they washed and dried them! How that is possible, I'm not even sure. I am so glad we took our clothes here to be laundered. read more

Great Laundromat. Dryers work great--.25 for 4 minutes seems high but they work really well--I dried most of my load (no towels) in 20 minutes. Several employees were there the whole time to answer questions. Machines take CREDIT CARDS---amazing--no need o freak out quarters (and they have coin machines). Free wifi, free cookies and comfy seats. You can pay for detergent (.75 a cup), soda, drinks, coffee and to use a computer. They only had two triple load washers (5.75) so if you rely on those, you might be out of luck. Parking is behind--hard to get to--that was my only complaint. read more

This place is amazing... I have them wash/dry/fold my laundry for only a $1/lb. I can get a weeks worth of laundry done for under $20, they go the extra mile and separate/bleach the whites, treat stains, put button downs on a hanger. Pay $1.50/lb and get the "vip" service where they individually treat every individual piece of laundry and still manage to get it to you within 6 hrs of drop off....awesome. I have used them for a few months now and have never had anything come back late/ruined/stained/wrinkled. read more

I used to go to this laundromat to do my own laundry and it was fantastic. Staff is always helpful and friendly. I accidentally left behind an entire bottle of detergent one day and when I went a week later to do laundry, I assumed it'd be long gone, but the attendant kept it safe for me! I've been using their pick up/drop off service for the last few months and it has also been fantastic. I am extremely OCD about my clothes and they follow all of my directions to a T: cold water/hot water/ dry on medium/hang to dry. It's amazing! The owner texts me personally to let me know when the order is done and the cost. The was some confusion with a price for something and the owner was more than compensating with me. SO, I went on the hunt for a new laundromat as I find doing it all in a big bulk while I grab some wifie and catch up with people is a nice gig----I live in the heart of Boston so getting out is almost always wisest. These guys rocked it. Clean, coffee and cookies, GREAT attitude and free soap and stuff on Fridays? Who does that? These guys do! The machines were tidy, newer and the prices reasonable. CLEANEST, FRIENDLIEST laundromat I've ever been in. When I moved out to MA, I couldn't find affordable apartments with in unit laundry, so I was a bit picky when finding a place. This place happened to be recommended on Yelp, and I've been going there for over two years. Everyone person on staff had always been incredibly helpful and kind! I've used their wash and fold service on and off and they consistently deliver excellent service. I love that they have machines that take cards! They also offer a card of their own you can load and get free loads from the more you use it. I used Melrose Laundromat's pick up/drop off service in a laundry pinch recently. I had the flu and just couldn't handle doing laundry, so I called and they fit me in on an off pick up day! For $1.25/lb they delivered my laundry clean, sorted, folded and smelling great right to my door the next day. I use this laundromat when I just don't have the time to get the laundry done at home. For very reasonable rates, they pick up & deliver, wash, dry & fold for us. They will use unscented detergent, fabric softener, etc. per your instructions, and keep my credit card on file so when the laundry arrives, sorted & bagged at my front door, it comes with a receipt. This place has been awesome to me for the past few months. I use it for it's wash/dry/fold service and have not been disappointed. There is a $15 minimum, but it isn't hard to get enough dirty laundry to bring in. The people who work here are always friendly and attentive. They ask if I have any special garments or have any special instructions, which I really appreciate. When my clothes are returned to me, I am always happy. They are always folded so nicely and make my life a whole lot easier. Turn-around time for wash/dry/fold is also good. Usually I'll bring it in and I am able to pick it up 24 hours later. They open early and stay open pretty late, in my opinion, so it's never an issue getting there in time to pick stuff up or drop stuff off before they close. read more

I was very impressed with the your laundromat. As a college student who has a washer and drier at home, this was my first time using a public laundromat. I love the free cookies and coffee. The washer and drier are rediculously fast. The attendent on duty was very helpful in advice on what temperatures to use for the washer and drier. Washing and drying was a bit more expensive than at my college, but it was so fast it was worth it. I love the seats with the desks too. Very useful for schoolwork. Love the free wifi too. What a nice laundromat! It is soooooo clean! You can really tell the owners are proud of their business, they have decorated it so cute. It's not your typical boring dirty laundromat. They have gone out of there way to ensure their customers are comfortable while they are there. They have a coffee machine, vending machines and even a computer with internet (you pay by the minute but it was reasonably priced). They also have a really good selection of detergents and offer free detergent on certain days of the week. I LOVE that I can just swipe my debit card to operate the machines and don't need to worry about having cash on me because I never do. I have been to a lot of other local laundromats and wouldn't even consider going back to any of them. This one is the best around for sure. read more

I see that the manager here comments on all the reviews here so I thought I would write one. In response to "James O.", I am writing to say that I am terribly sorry for my father's behaviour. However much the service that woman had provided us wasn't all that welcoming and on the borderline of being rude, she never should have had to be treated in such a way. My father, however, was not intoxicated at all, and he was only frustrated that he had to lug his laundry so far only to be turned away (despite me being the one pushing the cart... lol). His behaviour was thoroughly embarrassing and I have told him how the way he had acted disgusted me. I hope you will accept my apology on his behalf. read more

Unfortunately I will not be returning to this establishment after many yrs. Increased prices in both their machines and dry cleaning services is one factor. The final catalyst today was the inaccessibility of the restroom. Apparently now it is for Staff use only. I was really disappointed that the attendant would not make an exception for a loyal customer. Also the smell of cigarette smoke coming from staff at the back is just too much !! This is the best laundromat around. I've used their pick up and drop off and been in the store. They do a really nice job and are so friendly. I'm so glad they pick up and drop off in Wakefield. They make everything so easy and don't charge extra for separating whites, using specific detergents / softeners etc. Most laundromats just use a cheap soap but not this place! I have NEVER seen such horrible cleanliness in a laudromat! Let's just talk about the fish tank that is infested with the most nauseating fungus/mold growing from every corner and floating in the water that probably has been there for decades, I just hope that there are no fish trying to survive right now in that hell hole. I have seen people passing by this "establishment" stop dead in their tracks at the window because they notice how appalling this fish tank is and everytime their faces are so shocked and disgusted that there would be such a thing sitting in a laundromat (you know a place where you want to take your own personal clothes/items to clean them). Why this place has any good reviews is beyond me, they have a dirty/dusty 1990 desktop computer to use while waiting (25 cents per 5min so bring your quarters ladies and gents!) and please enjoy sitting and waiting in the dirty/musty leather chairs conveniently placed next to guess what?!?!...THE FISH TANK! Please stop on by to the coffee counter to enjoy a delicious cheap cup of coffee w/ age old creamers that have been sitting out since they bought that desktop and don't you worry that coffee machine and the cups that you will be drinking out of are conveniently placed next to guess what?!?!...THE FISH TANK! Clearly the owner of this place can't handle one bad review/comment since he/she threatens whoever is completely honest about how awful an experience is with the facility and/or staff. FYI get a working bathroom for customers that pay to use your facility, train your staff and yourself to have manners/be polite to human beings, and get a life, stop watching your surveillance on all the people that are trying to warn people about how poorly run this place is and how horrific the conditions are inside. I was on vacation with my two daughters (ages 13yrs & 9yrs) in MA last month. Naturally with 3 girls we had to do laundry halfway through our vacation! I had such a nice experience at Melrose Laundromat...it was very unexpected. I've never used a laundromat and wanted to go back to it! The atmosphere is unique - super cozy & comfortable, very nice friendly staff, and so many great little extras! 5 star service! I wish this laundromat was located in my city because it is sooo much nicer than any of the laundromats near me...make that nicer than any i've ever been to! read more
