Thought it was my second but it's actually been my 3rd time time stopping here to get my reel spooled with braid and 2 times within a week he's told he doesn't have time to do it and I had to leave it. 1st time there wasn't anyone there qualified enough to do it. Sad part is, the owner is the one that turned me down twice. Pure laziness and I can guarantee you one thing, I rather my boat sink than go there to even buy a plug for it. Absolute laziness. All I wanted was live peelers yesterday and this was my experience at R & D Boat Supply. I had to click at least one star to be able to post but it is really Minus *****. I would like for anyone reading this to know that I don't normally do this but after residing here in our wonderful county of Dorchester for 37 years, I must say that I encountered the most disrespectful and rude person here at R & D Boat supply today! Yes, I went in to purchase 10 peelers "Live Bait" which cost me $26.50 + .93 to run my visa total of $27.43. I ride home 8 minutes away check my "Live Bait" only to find 4 peelers alive and 6 dead and stinking! Now, mind you this was a total of ten minutes in my car at 90-degree temp windows down no ac on. Plenty of time for them to warm up and loosen up! So, I put them back in the bag, drove back to exchange for live ones and the owner rudely tells me that they are like that cause they are cold!! I have been buying peelers for over 15 years and have even gone in there to buy from him three times this season and they were all alive. Not dead and stinking!! He took them all back and asked for my card! I asked why and he said he was just going to refund my money. I kindly said to him "Sir, I would like the four that are alive if that's all you have!" He told me NO and proceeded to tell me that he was just not going to sell to me at all for bringing them back! I even told him that I was fine with just 4 and he said no and insisted on refunding my money and instead charged me again, which cost me an additional .93 cents then gives me all of the slips telling me he made a mistake which would also be refunded and so I now loose $1.86 total for just running the card through the machine because of his ignorance, wasted my time, and ended up with no peelers, disrespected, and the worst service I have ever experienced from a store in my life. Not to mention I'm friends with his son which I also mentioned to. I told him his son was a much better man than he! To which he replied "Good"! I also let him know that I would be doing this review, to which he replied "Good". My final words to him were that I would inform all of my family and friends about how ignorant and rude he was and that if my refund was added to my account successfully, he would never see me here again and once again he replied with "Good..." And this is the kind of man that deserves to have a business as such!!! I've included his picture so that you know exactly who I am referring to. I also included the receipts so that you can see it! You just can't make such a story up! Judge for your selves, but you can get "LIVE PEELERS" at quite a few places here in the county with great service and a smile and you won't waste your money or time!! The very best service this place claims it offers professionally, IS NOT! Don't waste your time going there or you may just have this fake smiling being rudely waste your time and money!! He can continue to try and cheat people out of their money but it will not be mine! read more
