I've been here 20 times, it's authentic and good. Spicy braised beef rice noodle soup is the best mala style noodle soup in the area.

This is local to us and is aimed at the asian community meaning service and food will not be typical of upscale/expensive type of place. And while I agree the food comes out erratically and I have been here about 5 times I never had a bad meal. Dishes are unique and menu has large selection. Large dining area makes it good for a larger party. I guess I would rate this more authentic and while more modern places exist in the same shopping center, I will be returning. read more

I visited this restaurant with my colleagues for lunch on January 16, 2026, at around 12:15 pm. We placed our order and were waiting to start our meal when one of my friends politely asked for chili oil, as she enjoys spicy food. What happened next was shocking and completely unacceptable. The waiter responded with extreme rudeness. He refused to provide chili oil and made offensive, racially charged remarks, including saying that "you Indians always request extra oil." His tone and behavior were hostile, and he even used abusive language. When we tried to address the issue with two women who appeared to be employees, he interrupted and insisted that we speak only to him, claiming he was "the boss." His behavior made us feel deeply uncomfortable and disrespected. Because of this unprofessional and discriminatory treatment, we left the restaurant without eating our lunch. This experience was extremely disappointing and concerning, and no customer should ever be subjected to such behavior. read more

Came here recently for takeout. Called ahead and food was ready when estimated, 15 minutes. Sampled the following: Dan Dan Noodles: Flat thin noodles with spicy sauce. Mung Bean Noodles: Thick wiggly blocks of mung mean noodle in a fiery chilli sauce. Shredded Pork with Dried Tofu: With bell peppers, not listed on the menu. Wasn't a big fan. When the peppers are on point, this combination works. It was ok. Shredded Pork with Sweet Bean Sauce: Yum. Pork, sauce, and scallions. Simple and delicious. I've been coming to Ping Ping pretty consistently for the same dish now, so it's about time I review my regular spot! My favorite dish here is the tofu dry chili pepper. There is absolutely nothing that can compare, and no restaurant seems to be able to mimic the skill that is required for this dish. The tofu is delightfully crispy, numbing, and well seasoned on the outside. The inside of the tofu is soft. The contract between the textures is a wonderful, culinary masterpiece to the taste buds that is to be marveled by all restaurants. Service is good; ambiance is no-frills. I don't have any pictures of the tofu dry chili pepper, but just know--it is an absolute delight. read more

What happened to this place? It used to be good for authentic Chinese food, but the last two or three times weve gone it has gone downhill in quality substantially. Tonight was the last straw. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely terrible. Every soup, every appetizer, the main dish, even the white rice was terrible. The wonton soup came first, and the wontons were huge, doughy, undercooked and tasted like they were filled with some sort of paste. The broth was bland. They were so bad that we asked the waitress to not bring us the wonton and chili oil appetizer if the same wontons were being used. They were the huge tough wonton you normally get from cheap takeout Chinese places. Two waitresses tried to help us, but they did not speak English and did not understand what we were asking. Wontons were thankfully different ones than from the soup, but really made me wonder why they have two different wontons at all. The scallion pancakes were so drenched in grease you could see through them, and left a huge puddle of grease in the plate. The eggrolls came out frozen in the middle. Not cold, frozen. Our main dish was the fish dry hot pepper style. The fish was completely over battered and over fried, and had the mushy consistency of fish sticks. Just terrible. Oh but, look at the bright side, at least everything took forever to come out. Exceptionally slow, and each appetizer came out separately every semi eight minutes. The waitress never came back to take our dinner order, so we had to flag the owner to finally take our dinner order 30 minutes after we had sat down. Terrible service too. We came here for Szechuan food by the recommendation of a coworker when we were traveling for work. We went with a large group and everyone shared everything. Some of the things we tried were: hot pot style beef, dry chili pepper style fish, Kung Pao style tofu, Kung Pao style shrimp, Dan Dan noodles, scallion pancakes, double cooked pork, pickled chili pepper style pork, minced pork, fish soup, and a rabbit peanut dish. My favorite things were the scallion pancakes, hot pot style beef, dry chili pepper style fish, Kung Pao style tofu, and double cooked pork. One thing we found weird was that the Dan Dan noodles were made with linguine. Someone who had had them here previously said they used to be a different noodle. The one thing that turned me off about this place was the service. Before we were seated, we asked for a table for 8 and asked if we could have separate checks. We were told we could split the check if we wanted to. When it came time to pay, they told us we could only use 2 credit cards. We pushed back because they told us we could before we were seated. Eventually, they let us this time, but said next time we couldn't. It felt like they lied to us originally just so we would come in and eat with them because they had a policy of not splitting checks. While I enjoyed the food, I don't think I will be back because of how they handled the check situation. If you don't split checks, just say that up front. read more

I posted years ago that this place seems to have two kitchens - the upscale with specialty dishes and the plebian lunch specials which receive no accolades in the least. The custom dishes have always been exceptional but today I relegated myself to a lunch special quickie with all due regret. The wonton soup was practically inedible - no, I shouldn't have even tried. The wrappers were on par with Michelin radials and I needed to stab the dumpling with a chopstick while I sawed it in half with the spoon. We came to this restaurant because we had patronized Ping Pong in Roxborough until it was shut down. We liked it a lot so we wanted to see how it compares. Mixed reaction, I'd say. The food quality was good, comparable to the other restaurant and the prices are reasonable. Service was not so good. The lead server was rather aggressive in trying to prod us to order food and drinks we didn't want, and then after that an assistant, who speaks no English and seemed limited in her general comprehension skills, "took care of us." Sparing the details, it was bad service. Hopefully this doesn't represent their service in general because, as I said the food was definitely good enough for us to return. After going to this restaurant many times; I can tell you that this place is amazing. It has one of a kind flavors. My favorite dish being the Shrimp with Walnuts. R & G's Ping Pong serves generally authentic Szhechuan/Sichuan cuisine, including some appetizers and entrees on the last a few pages of the menu. I usually stop by here for spicy comfort food after shopping at KOP mall. It's a casual joint with reasonable pricing and standard Chinese restaurant service. Based on my several visits here, the Szhechuan dishes that I've ordered are consistently well-made and delicious. Good option to fall back on when dining in this area. read more

Was craving Szhechuan and thought I'd stop by PP because I was already close by. I had dined previously but don't remember being so dissatisfied. We were starving, It was pretty busy but were seated pretty quickly. I don't know if it was an off night or we just chose the wrong menu items but everything was mediocre at best. It took a while for our waitress to take our order and didn't come back during our meal to check on us. We ordered Scallion pancakes, that had maybe one scallion sliver... Couple of other menu items including General Tsos chicken, usually a safe choice, but was also very disappointing. Everyone else around us seemed to order some type of hot stew like item which looked appetizing. Ambience is nothing special, I sat on the booth side of a table and the lady next to me continued to shake her leg the entire meal which did not add to the overall experience. My favorite thing about the dinner may be the hot tea or fortune cookie. As of now I don't think I will be back unless I go with a veteran who knows what those stews are and what to order. read more

I'm new to King of Prussia and needed to find my new go-to Chinese place... this is it!!! Ordered take out from here last night and it was ready to be picked up very quickly (15-20min) and was still piping hot by the time I got home. I ordered the kung pao shrimp (mild spice level- which was respected) and my boyfriend got the spicy sautéed chicken. Both were delicious, fresh, and flavorful. Entrees come with white rice. We requested fried rice to be substituted (and said we could be charged for it) but this request was not granted.. sad! I wish that they were flexible with substituting the white rice but oh well.. definitely coming back read more

Food is at best mediocre and what's even more amazing the restaurant's take out portions are the smallest I've ever seen (not that you would want to eat more). Something I also found amazing is the ONE Soy Sauce and ONE Duck Sauce provided for three (yes 3 dishes). I wasn't impressed the first time I tried this restaurant but I like to support local restaurants especially these days so I have the place a second chance. Our second visit today was even better then the first. Had Frog legs hot pot, Kidney dish and Meatballs (a.k.a "Lion Heads"). Spiciness was accommodated to our level of tolerance with "no problem attitude" which was very appreciated by us because the usual case in other restaurants is totally opposite, they say that there is nothing they can do to accommodate. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD TASTY. We had those dishes in other Chinese restaurants, but none of them was as yummy as we tasted here. In our mind this place is THE BEST Chinese (Sichuan style) restaurant in this area (and maybe even further than that). Definitely coming back every time we visit this area. There is something addictive about spicy Sichuan food. This time I stopped by "R&Z's" Ping pong on a Sat for some takeout. Wanted to try the Shredded Beef w/chili peppers which was well made, though I prefer the beef to be a bit more browned. On the suggestion of the owner I tried the "Poached Pork w/Cabbage in Chili Oil", which should have been called "the-most-tender-morsels-of-pork-you-will-every-eat in chili oil". The pork was succulent and absorbed the flavor of the surrounding chili oil while the Napa cabbage provided some cool relief. Highly recommended! We should hold a UYE here. read more

Very good authentic Chinese cuisine. Atmosphere is casual, perhaps even a tad too casual, at least for the quality of foods served. But it is well lit, and the cartoonish wall art won't hurt anyone. For an appetizer, I had the scallion pancakes which were tasty if a bit greasy. Also tried the Dan Dan Noodles, which had a good mix of flavor. They are spicy, and the heat is sneaky: it takes a few seconds after tasting before it hits you. But I expected this, so it was enjoyable. For an entree, I had the lamb hot pot. Again, spicy. But not just hot: the mix of flavors combined perfectly, with no one taste overwhelming, but all adding to and complementing the others. The lamb was cooked nicely, not too tough. My brother said the ale about the lamb in his dish: he ordered the cumin lamb. My father, who prefers more "Americanized" Chinese food, enjoyed the seafood delight. The value was nice. 3 entrees, 4 appetizers, and the whole meal was $90, including tip. Definitely would return. read more

Delicious authentic Szechuan Cuisine. Expect flavorful, mouth-watering, slightly greasy food. The food itself is worth 4 stars, but see below for why I gave it 5. Our party of four had 2 entrees and 2 appetizers (including Ma Pu Tofu, shrimp lo mein, mouth-watering chicken, and dan dan noodles). It was all delicious and prepared and served quickly. We even had leftovers! But the best part... It was all under $40!!! Less than $10/person! (Before tip) This value deserves the 5 star rating. I can't go elsewhere and expect delicious food for dinner (at a sit-down restaurant) without paying near $15 or up. What a great place to take friends and share a yummy meal! The atmosphere inside is pleasant (see photo) and the wait staff were reasonable. When I told the person on the phone I was housebound and could not come to the restaurant to exchange it I was told I made the mistake and I should call Door Dash for a refund. Hmmm, interesting, Door Dash did not serve me an inedible dish. I objected and was shouted down and told that I don't understand how restaurants work. Odd way to treat a customer. This place is amazing. I've ate here 11 times in the last two months, so I'm not sure why it took me so long to write a review. The restaurant is clean, the staff are polite and efficient, and food delivery is promptly served. They also serve you a free pot of hot jasmine tea. I've had a variety of dishes here already, so I'll write a quick sentence on each one. Dry Hot Pot: I ordered this many times. My personal favorite is surprising chicken, the spice really blends into the fibers of the chicken. Shrimp and beef were also excellent choices. This is a MUST try! (P.s: I order mine with only lotus roots). The dry hot pot is served with a burning flame underneath. I always love the presentation. Twice Fried Chicken: This is a perfect blend of heat spices, salt, and each crunch was audible. String beans with pork: The string beans were fresh and the flavoring was lovely. I am very worried about this review because the one thing I think is critical above all else is consistency ! With that said my very first review sang the praises of my near foodgasmic experience. Then there is my review around Chinese New Year when my visit could only be labeled an epic tragedy almost like the death of a good friend. With that said I don't usually go back to any place after a bad experience but I was in the area and like a ghost I was haunted by my perfect experiences marred by the epic failure so I went back. We used to dine here frequently pre-Covid. The food and service was hit or miss and not consistent. We usually order their entrees and spicy beef noodle soups. We decided to try their lunch specials today and it was a major disappointment. I got the eggplant garlic sauce with fried rice and hot & sour soup. The eggplant was way too salty and mushy. It lacked the sweet and tangy factor. The chef definitely overdosed on the salt. The fried rice was clumpy and tasteless. They mixed in a few tiny pieces of egg with leftover rice and called that fried rice. The Double Cooked Pork was also too salty! Gotta check your blood pressure after this meal. The hot & sour soup was watered down and missing the peppery kick. They are cheap with the soup and filled only less than half of the container. They are only doing take-out now so the dining area was pitch black when we went to pick up. It's sad to see that, but they really need to raise their game. Not sure if they hired a new cook, but the food was below average today. Hopefully, they don't close down. I did enjoy their hot sauce style fish in the past. read more

Take out is available during Covid. I wanted to try multiple items and decided to give this place 3 stars. Some items on the menu are really good and some items I wouldn't order again. The hot and sour soup had too much vinegar in it. The pickled chicken feet left me super thirsty, and it was a bit slimy. I have had this at other restaurants and it's not supposed to be slimy. The beef chow fun was okay. I have had better and I have had worse. The scallion pancake had good flavor, but it was a little soggy. Since it was take out, then it wasn't freshly eaten when cooked so that is just the covid environment of take out. The beef tendon chili sauce dish was super good. I then ask if I can get General Taos Tofu with chicken. She says no. But I can get General Taos Tofu and add chicken for $3 more. I say fine . I pay and leave a nice tip. The restaurant is empty and way to warm inside. She says 10-15 mins. I go to Trader Joe's .. kill 20 mins come back and it's not ready. It's not ready some more. I wait 10 mins and a girl brings it out. But tells me to wait. She asks if I have paid. I say yes. She says wait. 5 mins she comes back and looks through the receipts finds mine . I'm not making this up I'm allowed to leave. I guess there are many General Taos thief's out there. So I get home. The food plain old sucks. There are literally 2 pieces of chicken a good amount of tofu in a glorious gloppy mess. Looks like it's covered in orange jello. Just gross!!! Taste spongey. The spring rolls ... Trader Joe's baked are better. $25 Simply the worst. No utensils, no sauces, no napkins. And I was basically held prisoner until they found I paid. So bad it was funny.
