Well I can't say that I'm very happy with the work because now my 1985 Olds won't open all 4 barrels as it did before Edwardo messed with i. $250 and 3 days later my car is much worse. I'd take them to court but it would cost me frustration instead of satisfaction and they're elderly and kind of polite. that said you might look around before going here. sorry read more

Brought my 1981 camaro z28 in because it was idling at around 1100 and was burning through gas and Manuela had it fixed in a few hours, came in at 12 and got it back at 4, an hour earlier than she had told me. Camaro has been running great since, it idles at around 600 now and gas lasts a lot longer now I highly recommend they know what they're doing. read more

Eduardo and Manuela are very nice people but they seriously do not know how to rebuild a carburator. I have a Chevy Surburban with a 350 cu.in and a 4 barrel Rochester - one of the more basic set-ups. Not only did it run worse after they rebuilt it, it leaked (gaskets not replaced), vacuum hoses were crushed and leaking and the idle was exceptionally high. After several attempts to rectify the problems they overlooked, I picked it up. A total waste of money. It was such a mess, I had to immediately take it to a professional custom car shop to have it redone. I would not recommend these folks. read more

The most inexpensive mechanic I've ever come across!!! He's straight forward and if he can't do it he'll let you know(rare occasion). A master with carburetors and wizard with mechanics. He works with his wife, wonderful couple. HE DOESN'T JUST WORK ON YOUR CAR, HE TREATS IT LIKE HIS OWN... if you'd like to learn, you're more than welcome to ask questions. This review is unfortunate. I brought my car over for Eduardo to rebuild the carburetor and I thought he did. After 6 months my car started to run rich again and then to stall while idling. I called him and he just said the warranty is for 3 months and that he will have to take a look at it again and will charge $30 and $160 if a potential fix is needed. I was very upset. I actually decided to take my car to another carburetor specialist and was stunned at what I saw. This guy took apart the carburetor showing me the gaskets which were not changed and dirt and thick like grease that showed the carburetor was not cleaned at all. The new guy said that Eduardo just took some parts out and placed the back the way it was and didn't see that the choker on the carburetor was failing. My carburetor now has a new choker, pressure cleaned with new valves making it almost brand new and my car runs great. Eduardo really disappointed me, I think the major decision behind this review was really the gaskets. They were worn out and my new guy said quote, "Who rebuilds a carburetor and not place new gaskets if they are worn out?". read more

I drove my car into their shop my carburetor really wasn't so bad I figured some kind of cleaning adjustment he suggested for entire rebuild and I agreed because I want my car running at its best after he supposedly rebuilt it the car never ran the same he didn't want to return it and I gave him another chance he had it for 4 days and broke my ignition it was a true nightmare I got all kinds of anxiety because of this ordeal with him I had to go and pull my car out of there with a tow truck I would not recommend taking any carburetor to this guy bunch of clowns and blamed everything on me and or on the vehicle being a classic and older long story short is the car ran in there and had to get towed back out he was also upset that I didn't want to pay him for any of his time super crazy cuz he ruined my carburetor read more

Hard to find a place like this. These people are honest and will get the job done the way you like it. I had gotten ripped off at two other carburetor shops, paying for a poorly rebuilt carburetor so I had trouble believing in shops anymore. What a gem! My carb was fouling out on my 69 Caddy causing it to run rich and smoke. I thought I was in for a big problem and huge bill. I limped it over to R&L not knowing what to expect. I got a call a few hours later the car was ready, couldn't believe it. When I picked it up it stared up like a new car, AMAZING! Better than that he showed me the fouled out gas he recovered from the tub and adjusted the timing and idle ALL FOR UNDER $200!!! I needed my carb rebuilt for my classic Mercury. It was an after-market Edelbrock. They were able to rebuild it within a day. Bolted it on, and ran like a champ! They even refinished it, giving it a nice shine, which was excluded from the final cost. They don't take checks, but I highly recommend them for rebuilds. Talk to Edwardo! read more

I had a 1977 International Scout II carburetor that needed rebuilt. Most carb shops were telling me to upgrade to a different carburetor because the original one was so hard to tune. Not only did Eduardo fix it, it looked and ran like brand new. He sand blasted the casing and replaced all the necessary parts. My Scout runs perfectly and it was 1/2 THE PRICE others were quoting me. If you have a carburetor issue...come see Eduardo. He's experienced and fair. I can't recommend them enough! read more

Awful unprofessional service, I brough my carburetor to Eduardo to have it rebuilt as I didn't have time to do it myself, he agreed to charge me $120, I showed him that the baseplate was cracked and he agreed he would replace it for $40 more, when I went to pick the Carb up I noticed the half ass work he did on his own VW and was not impressed. He hands me the carb and I look at it and I see that the cracked baseplate was not replace and he informs me he needs to charge me $180 for the work and that he put one new bushing in the broken baseplate (pointless work). He epoxied the crack on the baseplate which I was skeptical would work at all and he said it was guaranteed and if it didn't work he would fix it of give me my money back. I installed the carb and it did not work and upon further inspection there were loose screws and parts were mismatched the carb body was wrong which he should have noticed (not sure if he swapped it). I tried to contact him and he would avoid me, I asked him to return my money and he has refused too and I made him aware I would then take action against him if he did not refund my money. His work is shody, his shop is a disaster, I should have known better. Your money is better spent elsewhere. read more
