Avoid at all costs. They had a Yelp coupon which they refused to honor. So I said okay that will be reflected in my review I'll pay the Bill. They refused to give me my car back. They took my truck, hopped the curb, and tried to bring it back into the garage. While waiting for the door to open I stopped the owner by standing in front. He hit me with my car. They also overcharged and performed services which I did not request. They stole my phone and I had to get the cops involved. Thank you Mount Vernon PD. Stay away. read more

I learned about this shop through the Costco Parts & Service discount program, so they had already passed Costco's (reliable) vetting process before I went there. Three visit later I couldn't be happier with the choice: friendly team, straightforward discussion of problems & options, reliable repair, ready on time. Prices are reasonable, especially with the Costco 15% discount on most services. Considering the normal shop & parts prices at the (much inflated) BMW dealership, this is a great alternative. read more

Once again, the guys at Total did right by me. Nothing major, but I brought my car in for a simple NYS inspection and asked them to also rotate the tires. Any other auto repair shop would have done the rotation and charged me for it. Rino told me over the phone that the tire rotation was still good and the work was unnecessary. This place attempted to scam us for car inspection. They claimed we needed more than $1000 of repairs to pass. This was insane; we took the car elsewhere, where it passed with flying colors. Someone needs to take legal action about this outrageous strategy for ripping people off. read more

I stopped by TCC about a month ago just to get a quote on some damage done to my car. I'm not entirely sure who helped me but he was friendly and polite, didn't talk to me like I didn't know a thing. I didn't end up repairing my car, but I did come back to have my car inspected due to the fact that the employees are all very nice and the shop is located right around the corner from me. Reno helped me out with a jam after I went to the wrong mechanic who diagnosted a transmission issue- he told me to take it to him and he'll do his own diagnosis. Customer Service-wise they deserve 5 stars because they helped me jump start the car but maybe they didn't know Kia brand cars because they told me it was a transmission issue and that they tried to move it put it in reverse and it would'nt move. They said I should tow it or else it would be ticketted. 5 minutes later, When I picked it up I was able to drive it home and to a friend who checked the check engine light and didn't see any transmission codes. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt in that it wouldn't move for them because I needed to warm it up for some time before I could move it, but wierd that they were telling me it was immobile and to tow it home when I could just drive it home- literally almost cost me a 100+ bucks to just take it less then a mile home. The guy did help jumpstart my car so I'm not gonna say he was trying to screw me out of anything,- it just cost me alot of worrying and almost junking the car on the spot. read more

These guys are great. I think their work is excellent and have NEVER felt like I was overcharged. In fact, what I do now is walk in, hand them the keys and tell them to do whatever they think should be done. They always offer to call me with an estimate and I always tell them not to bother--I trust them.
