Claimed to fully fix my car but actually only banged out the damaged parts and kept the insurance $ for the new parts BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL I was rear ended and brought my car to Cibao to be repaired. Geico paid in full for the repairs. I came to find out from Geico and another autobody that Cibao only repaired the OUTSIDE of the car. For the underside, instead of replacing the parts Geico paid to be replaced, they just banged out the damaged parts and kept the insurance money. Geico paid Cibao $7,400 for parts and labor and instead, they just banged out the old one and kept the money In my photos you can see the damage still remaining on my vehicle after cibao "fixed it" as well as the email from Domingo telling me he would pay me for the missing parts after Geico confirmed they were never replaced by Cibao. read more

They did a poor job (my car was still *unsafe* to drive in after they "finished" the repairs) and Domingo blamed his mechanic when I called and try to explain that the job was poorly done. I had the transmission axle replaced, which cost over $6300. Unfortunately, the repair was botched. E,g, unbeknownst to me, several bolts were completely missing. Four months later, the axle needed replacement again, and the installation of the axle caused additional damage. read more

This business is run my responsible and honest people. I came for a supposed transmission problem, the found out what really was the problem and repaired it and I'm very happy with the results. My car was in a diff auto shop. The mechanic left my car on the street with a expired inspection sticker. My car was towed and I had to surrender the plates. I reached out to Domingo and he stated to bring the car in even though I had no plates and an expired inspection sticker and registration due to it being at that shop for over 5 months. My engine was done. Domingo and his guys fixed my car during the holidays and had it back to me in 1 1/2 weeks. The price was reasonable and the car runs very well. These guys are honest, fast, reliable and effecient. If you need an honest mechanic pls don't look anywhere else. read more

I went to put windshield fluid in my car, and the hood release would not work. I called these guys about the problem, and said I also needed an oil change. They told me to bring the car in the following morning at 8, which I did. The garage was totally full, but one of the guys came out, and was able to fix the problem with the release. He said I would have to leave the car. As I was walking away, he said that he would do the oil change then. Moved three cars out to get mine in, and oil was changed, air filters replaced, and I was on my way in less than an hour. Very reasonable charges. In my opinion, it doesn't get any better. Called to try and arrange an insurance quote and was very clearly told that the shop was open between 8-4 the next day and NO APPOINTMENT was necessary. Firstly the listing has not been updated, so the address is 2 miles away from where this business actually is. Secondly, when we actually turned up and attempted to get the quote, we were rudely dismissed "good luck finding anywhere with an appointment today!", disgraceful and idiotic customer service, who knows hows competent they are are actually fixing things if they cannot even pay attention to the basics of communication. read more

BEWARE!!! Trying to figure out Why this establishment has such good reviews. My daughter brought the car there for repairs after being rear ended In NYC. The car lives in Massachusetts but was not drivable after the accident. She had carefully read the reviews and was impressed. It was not until several months later we realized the sensor was not repaired. We then had the insurance adjuster add a supplemental claim for this situation. When we brought it to an auto body shop closer to my home in Massachusetts we were told that the sensor could not be repaired as the underside of car still had to be repaired first. We were amazed. That was damage that had been initially assessed and paid for. In reality the damage was merely banged out and the new authorized parts had not been replaced. Although my car LOOKED good it was essentially unsafe. If I had been rear ended again My car and I may have not survived the Impact. We tried to not focus on the fraudulent behavior of this garage and just get the allocated money back to have the car repaired correctly. The garage REFUSED to cooperate with us not take full responsibility for their behavior. As someone who survived a life threatening stroke I do not take this situation lightly. Took my car here for the first time and I was beyond pleased with the service. Domingo is a stand-up guy and gave me clear honest advice. My 2014 Chevy Traverse has been having constant issues for the past year and these guys have it driving like it came straight off the dealers lot. They showed me all the old damaged parts and the boxes of the new parts they installed. Got my new inspection sticker and even fixed a slow leak I had in one of my tires. The facility is small but, they seem to have every thing for any basic repair, even some supplies! They do repairs without asking you or informing you what they're doing and expect payment because, what ever needs to be fixed is fixed... Called twice to get an estimate, both times they told me to call back in a hour because their boss was not there or to come in. I drive 45 minutes here and they have no space for me or my car so they asked me to wait another hour or so LOL what a joke then when I asked him why they have me running around he said " my boss is not here what do you want me to do?" .... maybe be professional. Brought my car here to check lack of heat. My car was disassembled and never put it back the way it was found. Cibao Auto Repair is by far the best auto mechanic I have dealt with in NYC. After a radiator meltdown in my car on a trip to New York, I was towed to the extortionist shop that AAA tows you to: the dreaded NYC Tire and Auto Care on West 39th st. I got an estimate that was DOUBLE what Cibao Auto Repair cost. I paid for the tow the next day to get to Cibao and they fixed it on time and for exactly what they had quoted me sight unseen the day before, even though the job was more expensive for them to complete once they started the work. They were a pleasure to deal with, real gentlemen, and I save about $500. Keep this number handy! It's well worthy it even if you have to get towed here from somewhere else. I will always get my car to these guys if I break down in the city again. read more
