Found this place bumbling around Montana and boy am I glad that I did. I have gout and the attacks have been up and down my spine lately. Sweating it out is ideal to get the blood flow going to process the uric acid from crystalizing and settling in the joints, but hard to sweat if you are having trouble walking. This infrared sauna bed is like a miracle cure! Instantly feel better afterwards. The experience from top to bottom is so welcoming. Vivi, Danielle and all of Stephanie's girls make you feel so calm and at ease with the whole process. Doing the Normatec leg compression while waiting for the sauna is a great way to get the legs going. Once inside, they put on meditation music specific to your needs. I needed something strategic to plot my next move and they put on this 'abundance' meditation playlist that really got me in the zone. They have a list for all needs. R&R Sauna is such a cool experience. I would say it's definitely out of this world! First they gear you up with a compression suit that literally looks like a space suit. This was the first step in a two part experience. After that, they move you over to one of their state of the art infrared sauna pods. You are able to choose your own music, I played one of my favorite podcasts and completely relaxed for the duration of the time. There is plenty of street parking available and perfect for after a workout. I plan on going back in and making this a part of my self care routine. read more

I recently tried out the R&R Sauna Studio, Revolutions new Infra Red Sauna Pods a couple weeks ago. Amazing experience!! It is a really modern looking simple unit that consists of a full body length white pod which the entire top portion lifts off like a large lid. You slide in and close the lid over you with your head remaining outside of the pod. The unit is then turned on and you begin to sweat! It's a different kind of sweating process from a regular sauna and because you are laying down either in silence or listening to music, before you know it you are sweating it out in there! Afterwards you are not supposed to shower right away in order for your inner body to maintain the elevated temperature that brings the many benefits of the process. After the sweating process was done, I had no idea that in about 30 minutes a very relaxing feeling would begin to overcome me. I can't explain it, but by the time I went to bed that night I was still feeling the relaxing effects of the experience. It was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to try the Pneumatic Compression they have next. read more

I work out often and have an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation. Since going to R&R once a week I'm sleeping better, my inflammation is down significantly to the point where I notice if I miss a week in the pod! Brilliant. Needed some R&R post training (triathlete). Tried this new studio and was thrilled with the facility and the results. I went for both the compression suit as well as the IR sauna. A first for both. Loved it. Super relaxing. Noise cancelling headphones shut out the world - you have a choice of music or podcasts - I went with both. (Relaxing music with compression and podcast during sauna) Absolutely felt the benefit the following day. Will be scheduling in more sessions as my training ramps up. read more

Really cool experience. I LOVE trying new things and learning! I did the compression suit first and the combination of having the noise cancelling headphones and subtle-but-clearly-there massage of the suit almost put me to sleep. The infrared sauna pod was relaxing, too! My head stayed cool while my body was sweating and I'm not sure whether it was the compression suit, the sauna pod, the glowing Himalayan salt wall, or the awesome snacks/drinks they had, but I felt really relaxed and my body wasn't nearly as sore as it should've been after having ran for a couple of hours prior to my appointment. The heat is on...I don't usually indulge in these trendy healthy alternatives. Curiosity got the best of me. I spent about an hour starting with an amazing leg compression and then entered one of the infrared pods. I have seen a few of these infrared facilities and usually I noted people getting suited up. This pod was spacious and very comfortable. I can definitely see potential results of releasing toxins, possible weight loss and most definitely stress relief. Only good things to say about R&R. The place itself is beautiful and very relaxing (they have Himalayan salt walls which have so many benefits such as stress reduction, energy increases, and mood boost). Then during your infrared sauna session, you get blue tooth headphones that block out any outside noise and lead you through a guided meditation (or music, whichever you choose!) the room is kept cool and fresh so your head stays cool. Was totally blissed out for the rest of the day, slept like a baby and my skin kept glowing for days after. Will definitely be back! This is a great new spot on Montana in Santa Monica! It looked so cute from the street that I had to give it a try. Stephanie (the owner) is so friendly and helpful. She explained all the services to me and was really informative. I did the infrared sauna pod which was private and way more comfortable that other things I have done like Shape House and Infrared Rooms. I like that the pod allows for your head to stay out of the heat. As an added spa touch, they offered me a headset with spa music for me to listen to while relaxing. Also they had Himalayan salt wall in the room. So neat! I had a great sweat and my skin felt so good the rest of the day. I'll be back! read more
