So, I brought it here. They were able to schedule me right away and Scott had everything working within a couple of hours. By the look of their parking lot, they must have a contract with all the police in Central Indiana. It is full of police cars. That is a testament to how good their work is. They do lights, tint and other vehicle customization. They also sell attire. They are auto electrical experts/gurus. They have reasonable pricing and great customer service. The shop is co-located with a body shop and tow truck company. It is a very clean shop with a few displays up. I give this shop my highest recommendation. They have a very honest and knowledgeable team of technicians that can work electrical and installation magic. Please check them out for your automotive electrical needs. So, today, I went through a carwash - you guessed it, the license plate finally came completely off and was completely resistant to everything I tried to get things resolved. I really didn't want to drive around without it attached - even though I was able to retrieve it from the fine folks at Crew - but I was clueless how to resolve it. On the way home from Crew, I stopped at this Fishers location of AutoZone, an auto parts and supplies shot located right next to Pep Boys. There's accessible parking almost directly in front of the store. There's a nice ramp. The manual glass doors were pretty easy. I looked around and figured I was likely looking for a new frame/plate holder and maybe some new screws since everything on my end was rusted. I'll admit this should have been basic, but I hated the idea of spending money without being sure. I finally got up the nerve to ask someone (whose name I never got). He suggested a new frame. I paid. He went above and beyond by helping me get things attached, though ultimately decided a couple new screws were needed. He also helped me with those. By the time I left, my plate was once again securely attached and I was once again on the road with the plate in place. This was simple, of course. But, it was a pretty big deal to me and I definitely needed help with it. AutoZone made my life a lot easier and solved a problem in a matter of minutes for a very fair price. I don't really have a mechanical bone in my body - this wasn't particularly mechanical, however, it definitely didn't go with my skill set. I was grateful for the assistance and for being back on the road. I do wish they'd had some more attractive plate holders, however, I got what I needed and am definitely not complaining. While they could easily take advantage of a girl who doesn't know what she wants, I feel like they look out for me and genuinely try to get the best deal. Last time, one of the salespeople gave me advice that saved me probably $100/month on my car payment. When I'm ready to buy a new car, this will undoubtedly be the only stop I make. The service department treats my car like a baby. They always keep me informed, prices are reasonable, and they are knowledgeable and efficient. I've had particularly great service from Brandon. Like I said--getting your car serviced is not fun, but they keep the waiting area clean and well stocked with complimentary coffee, water, and snacks. Pleasant guy and helpful. When I made it further into the store I saw him on a ladder behind the counter talking on the phone, while two other employees were behind the counter. One had a parka on as he was doing some sort of repair outside and the older guy who was behind the counter as well and clearly in AutoZone attire. As I had my item for purchase in hand, I watched the older male come from behind the counter walking towards me and looked right at me and proceeded to an area around the corner from checkout milling around, doing a whole lot of not about much. I stood at the register for several minutes looking around wondering what does it take. After a few minutes the guy on the later looked at me and raised a finger as to suggest 'just a minute' as he was still on the phone. I was so done at this point my mind was like leave it on the counter and walk out, and also thinking if I walked out with the item I bet I'd get more attention than I wanted, and telling officials I thought the light bulbs were free since nobody wanted to cash me out. When the guy in the parka came back in, he walked behind the counter and I asked if he was an employee and he said he was. I asked if the older guy over beyond the checkout counter was an employee and he said he was. I asked if he was allowed to run the checkout and he said he was. I asked why didn't he check me out? I said he walked out from the counter and looked right at me and proceeded to where he is now. The guy said he didn't know why he did that but maybe he had to use the bathroom. Fortunately we were able to get a complete and full refund through our credit card company Since Bob would never return my calls to remedy the situation. Went to have our vehicle repaired when it would nor drive. We towed it to agm because of the…read moregreat reviews and of how close we lived to the business. The next day I get a call and was told the transmission was ground up. So our vehicle needed a new transfer case and a new transmission. The total cost would be $4000. We agreed on the cost and told them to fix it. After a week they called and said the got the transmission in and everything looked great but they were waiting on a transmission filter and would be good to go the following Monday. The following Monday rolled around and we were told that the new transmission was faulty and they would have to get a different one. That happened 3 more times only for them to tell us they couldn't figure it out. So who is to say if it Really needed a new transmission. We went to pick up our vehicle only to find they cut our exhaust out. Without an explanation. They did something to our battery. My guess is they swapped it out. I would of been able to check this if there were not a bunch of parts they left in our trunk which is were our battery is. They lost the fuse panel cover. This is by far the worst experience from a so called professional business I have ever seen. Since the battery wasn't working that meant when I pulled the vehicle back home there was no hazards or steering. DO NOT TRUST THEM. The word around locals and an ex-employee is that the employees are not certified mechanics. They are random high school kids.
