Where do I start? I went here on October 17,2018 to get an ac compressor and was greeted with a friendly smile from Jessie, who is AWESOME SAUCE. Even though she was manning the phones and doing online orders, she took the time out to assist me with what I needed in a timely manner. Just her demeanor alone will make you wanna come back. Now the only down side was the wait, but what made up for that was the conversation I had with one of the guys that worked there. He made the wait go a bit faster just talking to him. I have to say I've read reviews on this company that had me thinking no, but once I got there, my mind was quickly changed. I even had to go back and change my compressor and Jessie handled it with ease. I highly do recommend them for any of your ac problems. Defective Ferrari 360 Compressor -- Poor Quality Control & Customer Service Purchased a new R&Y AD-1099N A/C compressor for a 2004 Ferrari 360 Spider with second-day delivery. The car was already disassembled and on our Ferrari technician's lift when we discovered the compressor could not be properly installed. The attached photos document the problem. The three rear support-bracket mounting holes would not accept the original Ferrari bolts deeply enough to secure the bracket. The bolts threaded only about four or five turns before bottoming out. The photo of the R&Y compressor clearly shows the bolt unable to seat against the bracket. The comparison photo of the original Ferrari compressor shows the same OEM hardware properly and fully seated. R&Y initially argued with our Ferrari technician that he was using the wrong bolts. These were the original bolts removed directly from the car. We then had to provide multiple photos and measurements proving that the OEM bolts fit the original compressor but not R&Y's replacement. R&Y's representative told me they ship approximately 15 of these compressors per week, claimed they had never encountered this problem, and ultimately promised to overnight a replacement and send tracking information. No replacement or tracking number ever came. Instead, I received a return label. The next day, another R&Y employee informed me they were out of stock and did not know when another compressor would be available. Adding to my concern, the sealed box is labeled RYC AD-1099N, Ferrari 360 2000-2005, dated 12/16/22--nearly four-year-old inventory. Manufacturing defects happen. What is unacceptable is poor quality control followed by arguing with the technician, requiring extensive proof, promising an overnight replacement, and then failing to deliver it. The photos speak for themselves: the factory bolts properly seat in the original Ferrari compressor and do not properly seat in the R&Y replacement. Based on the defective part and R&Y's handling of the problem, I cannot recommend R&Y Compressors, particularly for specialty vehicles where downtime and technician time are expensive. read more

If I could give this company a 0 I would. I purchased a compressor from this company 3 weeks ago. I had a mechanic install it and it's currently not working. Moreover, it's leaking refrigerant. I purchased this part through Amazon. The company wants me to return the part for a full refund. I paid for having the part installed. I paid for a part that's not working. The AC compressor I got from R&Y was defective. They sent me a replacement part and it was also defective. Installing these two defective parts cost me $900. I spoke with Jacob, the owner, and he blamed my mechanic. My mechanic, however, has been taking car of my cars for ten years without a single issue. On his advice, I got a Four Seasons compressor from R*** Auto and it works perfectly. Look at the reviews for this company--multiple people have complained about receiving defective parts. If I could give this review a 0 I would. I paid approximately 4000 dollars to replace an account compressor in my vehicle bought from R&Y A/C compressor. After replacing the ac stopped working and was told by the mechanics it was a faulty ac compressor, it made a weird noise when running. The shop had already thrown out my old ac compressor and when I contacted r&y they told me I would have to take the faulty ac compressor out and send back to them for a full refund. I explained i could have the shop write a letter stating the compressor is faulty. I was told it would cost about 6000 dollars to replace again, my car takes high end free on and so on. I told r&y I would not leave a void in my car with no ac compressor and they said no refund if its not returned. I think this is wrong. Another unsatisfied customer. Purchased a compressor and clutch. Took a while to get the items installed as the old parts failed right before it went into the shop for al electrical issue. Once finally install the parts failed with only a few hours on them. I would not recommend as the I suspect like others, I got a part out of a junk car which was not actually rebuilt. And if it was rebuilt it was done poorly as it didn't even last 10 hours. I only email with them, no complaints about customer service just crap product. read more

Just called and asked for my warranty to be honored. Kit lasted 2 months!! I was polite with the ladies at the call center but they refused to send a kit. The lady over the phone said electrical components are replaced which is a lied. They never replaced the valve and the seal even had rust on the bottom. Ordered a clutch for my AC compressor. The clutch did not fit on my factory compressor. The shaft on my stock compressor is 40 mm and the replacement they sent me was 45mm. I called and the company and receptionist told me to take pictures and send the pictures to the tech and I would get a call back. I took detailed pictures and even took pictures of both clutches being compared with a dial caliper. Never got a call back. I called them and waited 35 minutes on hold just for the receptionist to tell me the tech said they sell them all the time and they never had a problem. Long story short. I sent the part back because they have a guaranteed fit warranty. They received my part 3 days ago and still no refund to my account. Now it's a holiday and I have to wait a week extra before they open again. I will never deal with this company again. Two weeks without my primary vehicle being down. My ac blew when I was driving from FL to NY and coincidentally we were in a heat wave. I found this company after having difficulty finding a complete compressor for my car. They had the complete kit and it was hundreds less than what Honda was wanting. I went ahead and purchased a new part from r&y. At the time I was kind of nervous to be honest , as I saw they had some bad reviews. I decided to give them a shot anyway and see for myself. Well first things first , shipping was very fast. The part was Packaged well too. My car was taken to the shop yesterday and they installed the new ac compressor from r&y. Everything went smoothly and my ac is working again, air is ice cold even when parked in the sun, so yes I do recommend r&y , and I'm not sure why they had so many bad reviews cus they literally saved the day for me cus I couldn't afford the more expensive part. I do not like giving bad reviews, but I am also one of those customers that got suckered in on a remanufactured a/c clutch. First one they sent me I had to send back do to it being rusty. Received the second and installed it. I received it July 2020 and now it's Oct 2023 and it failed. I live in WA State so we don't use a/c all that much and my 2011 Nissan Rogue doesn't get a lot of use. Called up R & Y and told them my issue and they said sorry, but they won't do anything. do not buy from RY compressors. they falsely advertise and deceptively sell remanufactured AC compressors. Federal Trade Commission says a remanufactured auto part must be sold and like a new condition. There's are not their junk. They pulled out of the junkyard and they spray paint it deceiving you making you think that you got a working part you pay hundreds of dollars to get it installed and it does not work. they will rip you off over $179 and then you'll send it back to them. They'll put it in the box and mail it to somebody else knowing it doesn't work. I called for specification that seem to be missing from the Amazon site and their website and the only thing the lady on the phone could tell me was the part number...which I gave her to find the product. Edit: Once again they are denying the purchase was even made though I have a receipt and my bank has assurped me the payment went to r&y!!I am guessing that they have been trying to look up the purchase under my name, since I ordered it and I paid for it with my card. I don't recommend buying any re-manufactured compressor from R&Y A/C Compressors. The re-manufactured compressor I purchased from them was defective right out of the box. It appears they just spary paint and put PAG oil in their re-manufcatured compressors based on my experience and the experience of many others. They don't stand behind their product (they actually stop replying to e-mails, etc.), and they lack an understanding of R134a refrigerant pressure versus temperature data. I subsequently purchased a brand new compressor from Rock Auto that works great. P.S. I find it odd that the only positive reviews of this company are from people that live in Miami Fl (very suspicious). read more

My car AC was not working and based on the analysis by multiple mechanics they mentioned that it had to do with my compressor. I purchased an AC compressor from here for my car. Before purchasing, I confirmed that the product I am purchasing is compatible through their website and also from their representative. I got that compressor changed and the cost to change the compressor came out to be approx $400. The AC didnt work and then I had to get it reanalyzed which costed me another $200. I called them and gave the code to this company's mechanic and they also mentioned that the their compressor was bad. I asked them to send another one believing that they wont send 2 bad compressors or non compatible compressors. The second compressor also didnt work and that again costed me same time and money of $400. Finally, I took the car to dealer and they put in their compressor to fix the problem. This ordeal has made me lose so much money and given me so much stress. I sent an email with all receipts to the manager stating the issue that they should take responsibility of inforamtion that they are publishing on their website but they just ignored that email. They only refunded the compressor that I sent back as that was in warranty but regarding the damages they didnt respond at all. I will state if you really want to save yourself from financial loss and mental stress, stay away from this company and dont buy any products from them. I bought a Remanufactured A/C compressor for a 2006 Scion xB, and have gone through several compressors, each one they sent me has been broken. Every time I called with an issue, the person I spoke to over the phone was very rude, hardly helpful, and took forever to answer the phone when there was no-one in front of me in the call queue. The most recent call was today about a refund that I was told would be processed when the part was received, but when called, I received more flak back, having to explain a situation to more and more people each time I called because of what I assume to be lack of communication. The most recent call was also to a manager, who treated me like garbage, saying things like "Calm down" and "I'm here now, so what's up"? I may have gotten a bit snippy with her, but this sort of thing has happened with every Customer service rep I've spoken to. I received 3 compressors, all of which didn't worked, or worked so little that the air wasn't even cold, and this is after spending hundreds of dollars buying all new parts and essentially replacing the entire system, only to find that it was in fact, the compressor that was the issue. Long story short, Customer Service has been awful, and the parts have been as well. Each and every person that answers the phones at this company needs some sort of attitude adjustment. The talk low and are hardly helpful, they just want you to keep getting replacement parts until you die or shut up and leave them alone, it's absurd. and as far as the techs that make the compressors go, they should probably make sure to take the extra time to make an actual quality product instead of wasting peoples time with junk that doesn't work. the first compressor I received made a loud screeching noise from the clutch and didn't work. The second had a piece of metal clanging around inside of it like a chunk had broken off on the inside, and obviously didn't work. The third one actually worked for about a week until it quit out again, and finally the fourth also doesn't work at all, and also makes noise from the clutch. At this point I have wasted HUNDREDS of dollars in wasted Freon, parts I didn't need, and on top of all that, getting treated like shit every time I pick up the phone to resolve this issue?
