Great place in the mall to get some wonderful bakery goods at a reasonable price. I wish I knew how to actually pronounce all these Nordic names! No one seems to know either... LOL! My constant favs are their: Drommekage (vanilla cake with buttered crispy coconut topping), Greta Garbo cookies (buttery almond cookie with jam), Nøddemazarin (almond paste with chocolate), Kokostop (coconut macaroons & their Mazarins (fruit tarts)! Its not overly sweet, good quality taste & usually always in inventory. I'm always stop in one of their locations whenever I happen to be nearby one of them. (Follow me on Instagram @aida.loves )

Awesome samples for you to try different pastries, helpful staff, and reasonable prices. Most items are $2.50 each. We picked up some apple danishes and they were really fresh. They always have lots of well stocked items here. Highly recommended!

Really great pastry, some of the best in this little shop in the mall. Make it a nice break while you are shopping and eat your dessert snack at the provided high top tables right outside.

Free samples both inside and outside the store. I already have a game plan! 6 Danish Croissants for $12 no tax. I walked in with a purpose and ended up I got 7 for $12! Buy 6 get 1 free. More pastries to fattened me up. Butter Croissants really have a slap of butter inside! I think I enjoyed the raspberry one the best as the tartiness helped to balance out the heaviness of butter. So conveniently located inside Sherway. I would suggest park near Nordstrom so you can get some to go after shopping!

The new $1 coffee is a nice touch and idea

Five stars for the gingerbread cookies.. great bread also... but go for the gingerbread person/man/woman. And $1 coffee a smart idea.

trying out for my first time..

Great pastries! As a amateur baker myself, I am critical with baked goods. Their Croissants and danish pastries are light and fluffy. I reheated them in toaster oven, they became so crispy. Their products come in a lot bigger size than other similar stores. Therefore, it is good value for money. I forgot my order number when I picked up. There was no fuss and troubles. Staff members are very friendly and efficient.

A nice addition to this mall. Had I known before hand I would have saved my dessert appetite for this gem. I am a big fan of this place and am partial to their Danish. If you are one the edge try out their crown and you will become a fan. I have yet to try their breads so tried a sample. Hmm not sold yet so will try another time

As pretty as it looks and as tasty as the items are, it cannot compare to the frustration and confusion from this store. I cannot imagine what it is like when it's actually busy on a Saturday. The Danish Pastry House opened up in Sherway and also Union Station recently. It seems the Downtown store is getting quite a great reaction with it's 4 and 5 stars awarded. This location is bit of an exercise... and we're not talking about getting ready to work off those pastry calories. You need a certain amount patience as their service and store flow is just ... subpar. The store is in the bright new hallway leading to Nordstrom. With it's huge glass windows, it lets the sun shine brightly upon the many dozens of folded butter dough dripped and drenched in chocolate or icing. The store itself it not too big with zero spots for seating inside. You can easily find spots to sit outside though with it's many shared tables with Nordstrom EBar... at least 20 tables to let you indulge in the newly purchased pastries. If the eye candy in the window calls and beckons you... here's the drill. Stick right by the door and dont head towards the cashier to line up. Order from the person that looks like only offering samples ... she actually takes your order WHILE offering samples. So getting to her is a chore cause half the people in the store just wants samples. Once you get her attention, she'll take your order even though you have no idea what the names are cause they're facing out to the hallway and you can't see them. You just point and guess. THEN you wade through the mess of people who are equally confused on how to order and try to get to the cashier with no clear lines to pay. Got it? No? Good... no one else did while I was there. The other frustrating thing, is the lack of care in the staff. There were 5 people behind the counter but only 2 providing service while 1 was helping stack new items and the last 2 were just talking about their personal family matters. Not once did anyone actually cared about people lining up in the wrong lines, people getting frustrated and leaving because they can't get an order, or that they were confused on where to go. I did do this though because the pastries (especially the Flodeboller) made me miss the fun I had when I was Copenhagen. So how did these hold up to the real deal back in Denmark? Actually quite close. Crown pastry - The crown pastry has a custard and creamy marzipan (sweet almond) paste that sits perfectly between the four points of a crown. It has a chunk of milk chocolate that sits inside as well. The marzipan and custard kept it's rich creamy texture and you can taste quite a bit of marzipan which made it quite nice. The bun itself was crisped on the edges which shattered nicely and messily as you ate it. Bring a napkin! I would say I felt the chocolate a little... unnecessary in the whole bit. It didn't add to the depth of it and if anything, just made it overly sweet. 4/5 Chocolate cinnamon snail (Kanel Snegl) - This was definitely close tot he ones I remember in Copenhagen. The dough was flakier and crisp on the outer edges. The swirl of the snail collapsed which was unusual... all the ones in Copenhagen was intact but much lower. I think the bun was filled with more air? Anyhow, the flavour with the cinnamon was very nice... prominent without being overwhelming. I think the addition of the chocolate here was a better fit. I would have liked to have more bun instead of air in the middle but definitely closer to the real deal. The other missing piece was the lack of butter note... I actually didnt taste too much of any butter. 4/5 Flodeboller - This was my afternoon snack with a good coffee in Copenhagen. It is a tall and swirly meringue sitting pretty on top of a buttery shortbread like cookie and then drenched in a chocolate shell. As someone commented to me, it looks like the poop emoji. RIIIGHT. Well normally this 'poop' cookie is just awesome in Copenhagen. This one had the meringue very creamy instead of springy light a freshly made marshmallow and the taste predominantly came from the chocolate shell. The ones we had in Copenhagen had either a wonderful vanilla flavour or their fresh strawberry. 3.5/5 Pricewise, these are not a cheap affair BUT I would say their taste do lend themselves to be above most mall outlets for a snack. Their tastes do remind me closely of the ones in Copenhagen. I would say that the ones in Copenhagen had more softer doughy interiors with more buttery tastes, but for something in Toronto, it's not far off the mark.

Love the pastries here. It's a quaint little store and they are very pleasant and helpful. They make an amazing coconut cake called Drummekage.

Do you believe in heaven? Well, here's the good news: it does exist. And it's very, very consistent with the other two heavens I had the luck to experience: the one located in Oakville and the one temporarily located inside Scotiaplaza. The range of items is exactly the same like it is the crumbliness of the crust and the level of sweetness each pastry gives you: never too sweet and overpowering. Just right. The service is also very consistent with the other locations: prompt, cordial and ready to take the time to guide you through their selection. This one also sells coffee (the one on King St. W. doesn't). What can I say on top of what I've already wrote for the other locations? Really, there's nothing to add. The Danish pastry house is my ABSOLUTE to go place when I crave a real, proper pastry. If you are at this mall and haven't had the pleasure to try out this business, here's your chance. And believe me, you'll thank me for it. Because this will become your perpetual sin that heaven is willing to forgive you for. Once again, ECCELLENTE!!!

Came across by accident. Everything is excellent and tastes just like we had it in Copenhagen. The real thing. Wish we had it in states.

Review Highlights - The Danish Pastry House

True, the selection is not the same nor does it have the variety that Oakville offers but their breads and pastries are just so damn delicious!!

My wife wanted to go there so we went on 2023-01-31 mid-morning when there would more selection…read more They definitely have quite a selection of pastries and savoury food. My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. There is free street parking on their one-way south-bound street. Review 2023-017

Amazing place! I…read morecalled ahead to find out if they had this plum tart I purchased the first time I was there. Yet no one answered the phone. No problem. Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
