That is an extremely short pickup window, especially over a weekend. The store provided two recommended movers: Bell Movers and DKing. We contacted both immediately. One said they were fully booked for Monday. The other provided a quote, accepted the job, requested a copy of the receipt, and asked us to send the delivery details and a certificate of insurance request. We sent everything right away, but after that, they completely stopped responding. By Sunday afternoon, we still had no update, so we had to find another solution. We booked a mover through TaskRabbit and thought everything was set, only to have the pickup canceled on Monday afternoon. As soon as that happened, I called the store and asked for a one-day extension so I could pick up the furniture myself on Tuesday morning. I wasn't asking for weeks--just one extra day. The request was denied, and I was repeatedly told that the items had to be removed by the end of Monday. What was even more frustrating was being told that if I canceled the order, I would be charged a 15% restocking fee and would only receive store credit. The entire situation felt unreasonable. The movers recommended by the store were either unavailable or unresponsive, yet there was no flexibility when those arrangements fell through. A small amount of understanding or accommodation would have gone a long way. For the prices Crate & Barrel charges, I expected a much higher level of customer service. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression and will likely be my last purchase from this location.
