I live in SC, but was having a car shipped to Detail City before giving it to my parents. AJ could not have been more accommodating, even helping me find a trusted cross country shipping company. He sent videos of the car being delivered and kept me informed about the status of the car. The before and after photos of the car after their service, was truly amazing. The steering wheel had about 50 years of gunk on it, and AJ and his team had it looking brand new. The put some sort of paint sealant on the exterior, and brought this deep red out of the paint color. Unfortunately there was a mechanical issue with the car that came up right before I was about to present the car to my parents, and that is where AJ's customer service went above and beyond anything I have ever experienced. He came in on a day off to let a mechanic come and look at it in the shop. He even was doing research on his own about what possible issues could be with the car. He let us keep the car there until it was up and running. The car is a manual transmission and my parents haven't driven stick in a while, so I was worried about them driving it for the first time on major roads. Once the car got running, AJ drove the car to my parent's house, so that they didn't have to be on the major roads with it. I bought my parents a car, and I truly think my parents wish AJ was their son. In a time where customer service seems to have died, AJ has personally revived my hope in humanity. I arrived exactly on time, was told 2-3 hours, and they were finished in 2.5. The interior of the car was excellent, no complaints. The exterior was mostly excellent; they forgot to finish a spot or two (no big deal, I finished them myself quickly), but amazingly they were able to remove paint transfer from my bumper that I had given up on long ago, so that was a welcome surprise! I feel the professional detail is an excellent value given the price they charge. The only caveat to getting service at Detail Kings is their location: It's in the lower level of a parking garage. This was a minor issue getting back to the location using ride sharing (uber/lyft) as the app and driver get confused by the destination info. But if you are willing to wait on-site, or have a family member to pick you up and drop you off, then this is a non-issue, and I would definitely recommend Detail Kings to others.

The communication before drop-off was excellent. They answered every question I had -- and I had a lot. Post-install support was just as good, especially when I had questions about maintenance and cure time for the PPF. I was so happy with the full body PPF that I went back and had them do window tint as well, which also turned out great. The only minor areas for improvement would be more proactive updates while the vehicle was in their possession, as well as some small issues coordinating the loaner car. That said, the fact that they even offer a loaner vehicle -- something no other business I spoke with provided -- was actually one of the reasons I chose them in the first place. Additionally, there was a minor issue where the emblems were scratched during the process; however, they were very quick to take responsibility and immediately offered OEM replacements and a free installation, which speaks highly to their integrity and customer service. They didn't align the driver side door back correctly so the soft close wouldn't work and the jam wasn't aligned. This also made the vehicle wrap bunch up and peel off within a few weeks due to the weather stripping rubbing against the body unnecessarily. They also broke my passenger side mirror. Admittedly it had been cracked but I never got a chance to swap the spare one I ordered because they JB welded the mirror back in place after snapping it which then also made the motor not work. They also cracked the rear bumper during removal but claimed it was hidden by the wrap and didn't matter. All of these issues were wrapped up with "well, it's a little bit older so it's gonna break". For the price I'd expect a bit more.

I used to come here regularly to wash my car, but on one of those visits, as my vehicle was entering the wash bay, due to the incompetence or lack of proper training of one of their employees, the water hose was left out of place. It ended up getting tangled with my left side mirror, causing the mirror cover to fly off and shatter completely. They had me fill out some paperwork, and the employee responsible told me it would be resolved in three days a week at most. Today marks three full months, and I'm still waiting. RAMÓN, the manager, hasn't even taken 10 minutes to go to Toyota and get the replacement part. Instead, he keeps giving excuses and vague promises that they'll "handle it eventually," with no real timeline or action. We've gone back to the carwash multiple times, wasted our time, and sent countless messages all ignored. They're clearly hoping we'll give up and fix the problem ourselves. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. If they damage your vehicle, they will NOT take responsibility. They'll stall, avoid you, and hope you just let it go.
