Water had filled the floor of our utility room and he recognized the situation. Almost as they started, he figured out where and how the water made its way into the house. What's better is that he identified a number of issues around the area outside where the original drainage pipes and ones that a landscaper had installed a few years earlier were not sufficient. They got to work, replaced what was needed and installed new and necessary French drains around the side of the house and solid drainage pipes for the downspouts. They dug the trenches all by hand since ut was along the side of the yard. The left their work areas spotless each day and I was amazed at how they managed to avoid tracking mud everywhere. It was still raining but the garage and walkways were cleaned everyday. They added a small retaining wall at the last minute to ensure our new condenser for the heat pump was secure.
