Came in yesterday after church for Turmeric Lattes and a snack. We had a delightful chocolate croissant and fruit pastries, but sadly there were no almond croissants Thankfully I ran into the owner and chef, Derek, and put in a special request for them today. He obliged and we arrived this morning just as they came out of the oven! They are massive, beautifully laminated with the perfect amount of frangipane. Looking forward to flying home with a few to share back home in Austin, Texas! The interior is super cute and uses old boat parts for the register and seating options. They have done a lovely job at capturing the overall late town vibes. If you haven't been in, now is a good time to change that!

It's tucked inside an older industrial-style building and shares space with a couple of antique-type shops, so it's not somewhere you'd likely just stumble upon. The coffee was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My wife ordered an iced "Reese in a Cup" and loved it. I went with a hot Cuban Kiss--a mix of cinnamon, vanilla, and white chocolate. It was good, but I'd probably try something different next time. Pricing was very reasonable compared to a lot of coffee spots these days. We also split a cinnamon roll that tasted homemade and was delicious. Overall, a great hidden gem and worth the stop.

Usually, when I don't know what the house drip coffee tastes like, I'll order an Americano, because they tend to be balanced, no matter which coffee shop I'm visiting. My instincts were right! The Americano at Wanderlust is mighty tasty. If you have time to sit a spell, I suggest ordering your coffee "for here" so you can drink it out of a real cup, like a real boy. There are lots of places to sit and sip your stuff, not just in the immediate area, but there's also a separate room across the way with even more seating. That's also where the restrooms are located. Side note: Even if you don't need to use the restroom, you should visit the restroom. It is a sight to behold.
