Really cute cafe that you wouldn't expect to be so busy. The chai tea latte was good as well as the cinnamon roll latte that my friend had. The seating options are also nice because you can go there alone or with a bigger group and still have seating options. It also looked like they had outdoor seating for when it's warmer outside. The Moroccan soup was also very good and filling.

A friend recommended I try this restaurant. Went on a Saturday for brunch. There was a line but it moved quickly. You have to first place your order, get a number, sit wherever you want and wait for the food to be served. I ordered the Moroccan chickpea soup and the Mediterranean toast with an egg. The soup was delicious! Light, fragrant Moroccan spices without overpowering my palate. The chickpeas were cooked to perfection, not too hard but not mushy. The toast was good, not great. They didn't ask me how i wanted my egg cooked so to my disappointment it was sunny side up with the yolk cooked all the way instead of runny. My mistake for not mentioning it when i placed my order. All in all a great experience, will definitely eat there again.

I needed to figure out a place to meet a friend in Valpo on Sunday morning, so put my trust in Yelp and decided to meet her at Uptown Cafe. It was great! Nice location with plenty of parking. A private lot and street parking. We ordered our breakfast from the friendly guy behind the counter. We both ordered the lox and bagels and coffee drinks. I had a mocha and my partner had a cappuccino. We found a spot by the window and waited for our food. The coffee drinks came out fairly quickly and were delicious and beautifully prepared. Our bagels came out soon afterward (we enjoyed the free WiFi while we waited). The presentation was really nice and the food was great. Plenty of lox, bagels well toasted, generous thin slices of tomatoes, red onion and capers. Best lox and bagels we have had in Indiana. I was happy to see that there is also a Crown Point location since that is usually where I stay when I visit the Region. Looking forward to checking it out.

Hands down the best coffee in Northwest Indiana. It's a must stop for me when I am in town. Their avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, homemade soups, and huge salads are all delicious. They also have an awesome selection of gluten free and vegan baked goods. You cannot go wrong with any choice of food or beverage at Uptown.

Really good food and coffee, but a little pricey. The atmosphere is great and has a fun vibe.

Overall was OK. Scone was more like a muffin. Chai tea was VERY sweet. It was also $13 for an iced chai and a scone...

I had always wanted to go there and am very happy to say that I totally enjoyed the visit. While there, we ate most meals out. Le Peep was one of them. We came here for breakfast on our first full day in Valparaiso. It was pretty busy with people leisurely eating a late breakfast and lingering over some very good coffee. All of us ordered something different, but I can't remember what the others had. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures, which would have spurred my memory. I had a wonderful version of eggs Benedict. It was served on two crab cakes. The egg was perfectly poached. The hollandaise was perfectly crafted. The side of fruit was nice, although a bit crunchy in the melon department. I enjoyed the meal as a whole. Now, I have to say this: If I order crab cakes in a restaurant and they served these, I would send them back. They had a very nice crabby taste, but there was not one iota of evidence that crabs had been anywhere near the kitchen when they were made. It was all breading-no crab. But, in this dish, it was okay. The coffee was really good. They left a carafe at the table, which I pretty much drained with a one-cup assist from my sister in law. If I lived in the area, this would be a frequent breakfast venue for my wife and me. The prices were good, the place is comfy and clean, and the service is great.

We went here as a four top Saturday and Sunday morning back to back. Delicious food! Ok coffee. Ok…read moreservice. Good ambiance. Peasant potatoes also also just out of this world crisp and tasty.
