Threats from the moving company after disputing credit card charges.
    Ann M.

9/7 update: The bank has given me a full refund of my original charge and the fraudulent charges Anthony charged a month later. I can provide proof that the movers were paid 500 on Zelle and 400 in cash tips at the end of the move as they voiced that they don't get paid very much or treated well by Rabbit. I again will caution every one to NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR DUMBO MOVING BECAUSE IT IS A SCAM. Criminal charges have been filed. People continue to reach out to me and others and we have formed a group of those who have been scammed by this company if you are also a victim please email: rabbitvictims@protonmail.com

The email on mobile is a little janky

I had a great experience with Rabbit for my move this week from Manhattan to Brooklyn. The responses I got via email with the sales rep Sarah and CEO Anthony were quick. They turned around the COI that my building needed really quickly as well. When they asked for payment in full before the move, I was honestly a little sketched out. I thought, what would hold them to come and do a good job if I already paid? I was comparing quotes at the time and this made me consider switching, but the other company required the same so apparently this is a norm in NYC? Anyway, I looked at some bad reviews here on yelp too and was starting to reconsider. If it wasn't for the good experience that my girlfriend had in the past I may not have gone forward with Rabbit. However, I had nothing to worry about because they were basically perfect. I said via email that I needed to make a certain window for my new buildings elevator, and the crew showed up exactly on time to the minute. Will and his crew moved my stuff out of my apartment extremely efficiently. Some feedback: the survey that i filled out was very good - it reminded me of a lot of the stuff that I hadn't considered moving. The emails however, could look a little nicer. On mobile, the text is all jumbled and made me hesitant to pay via the link sent, especially when paying in full before, which is a practice that made me uneasy. As far as the service goes, though, top notch! I felt that it was my duty to share my positive experience to balance out some of these negative ones. Thanks guys!

Since Anthony is gaslighting everyone by claiming I'm not a real customer, here's evidence that he knows the truth. lol.

Bait and switch. You'll end up paying hundreds more than the estimate or sweating alongside them as you move your own things. Or both, like I did. I never write negative reviews, but this company made my move a total nightmare. Expect to be charged tit-for-tat for random items that you wouldn't think to include in a normal estimate, or have them leave behind so many that you need to do a second move by yourself. ITEMS LEFT BEHIND THAT I HAD TO MOVE MYSELF After hitting me with a same-day fee of hundreds of dollars, they left countless small, random, and/or awkward objects for me to move myself. I was pretty thorough in my estimate, but of course you can never take everything into account (pillows? a broom?!). A broom and dustpan, folding drying rack, hamper, pillows, backpack, aloe plants, door mat, kettle bell, humidifier, wicker baskets, etc. were left because they weren't spelled out in my estimate. Having sticker shock, I agreed to take my own under-bed storage bags to knock $50 off the surprise fee--but there was no clear communication that they would also leave those other things behind. There's a big difference between the trips it takes to move a couple bags and dozens of small and awkward objects. If I had known, I would have re-organized what went into the moving boxes and what I'd take myself. BOX COUNT BAIT AND SWITCH It looks like others have had the same issues with their literal definition of boxes, which they apparently use to manipulate you into spending more on moving day. I ended up paying $150 more on the day of so they would take my "extra" boxes. The thing is, I chose the amount of boxes their site estimates for a typical one-bedroom apartment, then ordered what BoxUp estimates for a typical one-bedroom apartment. Why is there such a discrepancy between the two companies? Hmmm.. At the end of the day, isn't a moving company supposed to make your life easier and not harder? Why refuse to take things like doormats and beach umbrellas and brooms? It just seems so petty. My same-neighborhood move ended up costing me over $1000 and my sanity since I had to move and carry so many of my own belongings. The UberXL driver laughed when he saw how close it was and how much room they still had in the truck. Trust me, you're better off renting a Uhaul and hiring some Taskrabbits since you're going to end up moving your own stuff anyway. Save yourself from the headache that is Rabbit Moving.

They had seamlessly loaded the contents of my 650 square foot apartment including large/heavy fragile furniture with glass (8 foot tall dresser with mirror weighing 250 lbs, and 50 galloon reptile tank) in about 1 hour. We promptly left via car to meet them at our new address in Philly, and they arrived at exactly the same time as we did. They unloaded the truck in about an hour again, and helped partially unpack and put items in the proper places, especially the furniture that would have been hard for me to move on my own later. I will continue to use Piece of Cake, and have recommended to several friends over the years that I have been using them. It was quick working with the customer support team initially to quote the move, make payment, and on COIs and confirmation. When we move again in a couple years Piece of Cake will be the only mover I call. My recommendation to others considering the service, be transparent and honest about the contents of your move, especially items requiring extra protection even if there is an additional fee involved. There were no surprise add-ons in my move because we carefully selected every single item that would be included in our move early on in the process, and made sure to reply in detail to the follow up emails regarding insurance, access to the apartments (stairs vs elevator, reserved elevator, etc.), and so on move-in day everything went off without a hitch. Piece of Cake are professionals and we love the service.

Summary: + good price…read more+ fast and overall fine service + overall nice workers - poor communication - some unprofessionalism - some damages I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, but ultimately landed on 3. I want to provide enough context so anyone considering Solidarity Movers can make an informed decision. Overall, this was one of the better moves I've had, but not one that warrants the 5-star reviews I see here. My husband and I moved from MA to NY due to family circumstances. The move was already stressful before it began, which is relevant because Solidarity was recommended by a friend who had a great experience with them. Given some poor experiences I've had with movers in the past, I felt confident choosing them. Unfortunately, things started off rocky. I completed a video walkthrough, received an initial quote, and then requested a revision. After that, communication stalled. Multiple follow-ups went unanswered, and I couldn't even get confirmation that my request was being worked on. After about a day of silence while other companies were responding consistently, I was ready to book elsewhere and left a review reflecting my experience. Within minutes, owner Zak called me. He was understanding, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about my concerns. Communication improved immediately, I received the revised quote, and their pricing felt fair, so I booked the move. A couple of weeks before the move, I reached out to confirm everything was still on track and asked about payment. I was told, in writing by Mike, that the remaining balance would be due "upon completion of your move." To me, that clearly meant after delivery. The move was scheduled for June 19 with overnight delivery on June 20. The crew was originally expected between 12 PM and 2 PM but arrived around 4 PM due to traffic. Traffic happens, and I had no issue with the delay itself. The crew was polite, worked efficiently, and seemed to handle our belongings with care. Unfortunately, this is where my experience started to decline. While packing, I overheard two crew members make a joke about my husband and me. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever heard, but it was disappointing to become the subject of a gay joke, especially from a company that publicly projects queer allyship. I chose not to make an issue of it, but another customer may have felt differently. Once loading was complete, the foreman informed me that the remaining balance was due immediately. This directly contradicted the written communication I had received. When I raised the issue, Mike acknowledged there had been a miscommunication but insisted I still had to pay on the spot. What made the interaction frustrating was how dismissive he came across. He stated this was standard procedure and said he would investigate the miscommunication, but unless there is another Mike, the miscommunication originated with him. Rather than create additional stress for myself, I paid the balance and moved on. To be clear, I still tipped the crew generously because they worked hard. By the end of the move, they had received $1,200 total in gratuity, or $400 per mover. The next day, delivery was delayed again due to traffic, but the unloading process itself was quick and organized. The crew followed instructions, reassembled our storage bed, and got everything into the house efficiently. After unloading, I was asked to sign paperwork stating everything had been delivered without damage. This struck me as odd because we hadn't unpacked a single box yet, so there was no realistic way to verify that. Like many people at the end of a move, I signed because I was exhausted and just wanted the process finished. While unpacking later, I discovered our $1,500 credenza had been damaged. Two interior shelves were broken, one completely split in half. Several glass items were also broken in transit. Nothing irreplaceable, but damage nonetheless. Could I file a claim? Sure. But after an already stressful interstate move, I don't have the time or energy to go through another lengthy process. Instead, I'm leaving this review so others can make an informed decision. Despite everything, I would still consider recommending Solidarity Movers, especially for a local move. The crew worked hard, and this was far from the worst moving experience I've had. However, the communication issues, payment confusion, dismissive handling of that confusion, inappropriate comment, and damage to our belongings prevent me from rating the experience higher. If you're reading reviews because you're planning a move and trying to make the best decision possible, I hope this helps. Wishing you the best of luck!

After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. They're all so polite, friendly and efficient. Within 1 day, I already feel 95% settled in. It's the easiest, stress-free moving experience I had in a while!

Also shoutout to one of the crew members who was on his first day. You truly could not tell. The whole team was professional, efficient, and just genuinely great to work with.
