Although it was still expensive for moving a one bedroom apartment a few miles away, it was worth every dollar. Richie texted us the morning of to confirm their arrival time. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST. Rabbit Movers made one of the most stressful and emotional days of my life bearable, even pleasant and, yes, fun. The guys were a half hour early, but waited until we were ready, and then were swift, efficient, polite and NICE. As other reviewers noted, they waste no time. They know what they're doing, are patient but focused, and come prepared with extra materials if you've not taped/packed or otherwise secured your stuff correctly. The charges are explained upfront, and when we went over our time estimate (because of the slow elevator in our new place) the foreman pointed it out to me. There's nothing underhanded going on with them. It's easy to reserve your move, the office is communicative and knowledgeable ... I just can't say enough good things about them. We got several quotes and went with Rabbit Movers because they were the cheapest one we found. My girlfriend found them really easy to deal with on the phone while updating our quote several times. On the moving day they showed up on time, wrapped our furniture, and had it in the truck really quickly. We had forgot we wanted mattress bags but they already had them ready. All the employees were really pleasant and relaxing while we were stressed about moving. After they moved everything they compared our actual amount of items to our estimate and actually deducted a little bit of money from our bill. read more

After researching movers and getting outrageous quotes I saw this livingsocial deal for Rabbit Movers and checked them out and decided to give it a try. Was so nervous, being the first time using a moving company let alone using a coupon for one. After purchasing the deal I sent them an email asking what the next steps were and they took care of everything quick and easy. Moving day, 3 guys showed up and put me at ease instantly. They came in, assessed the space and in about an hr had my apartment loaded on the truck. The took such good care of all my items, one guy was in my apartment wrapping everything in blankets, even made a shadow box to secure some of my artwork, while the other 2 were loading the truck. I think they went above and beyond. The coupon covered my first 2 hours and I paid the standard rate for the last hour which was at a great price. I highly recommend. Everything made it to my new place in one piece which is a testament because 90% of my boxes had glass. ATM ran out of cash so I tipped shitty :( but next time I use them I will make sure to make up for it. read more

Moving sucks! But with these guys it sucks as little as it possibly can. They are efficient, friendly, and willing to do things other movers won't - like take down curtain rods, assemble beds, etc. I've used them 4 times now and I don't see myself ever using another moving company. Another move with Rabbit Movers today. They're awesome! Some thoughts on the basic process: move is arranged partly through their website and by talking with someone there; key step is to prepare an inventory of your stuff through their web tool (estimating everything in cubic feet); once that's setup you'll be charged a flat rate for your move based more or less on the total volume of your stuff. They will also workout details with your building, such as those related to certificate of insurance. My most recent moves through them have also involved putting stuff in storage, which they do easily. The dudes who moved me today were awesome and did a good job. They didn't break anything, they were on time (except for one guy who got lost), and they moved my stuff super fast--never stopped working the whole time. The good: The movers were strong and efficient. They got everything to our new place in one piece. This was our second move with them. The bad: We were charged $120 extra because - get this - our new building has a long hallway. They call it a "carrying fee". Now, I was warned that if they couldn't get parking close by, we would be charged for the extra time it would take. But they were able to park right outside the building. The $120 was for the long hallway *inside* our building. I was not told about the possibility of this charge beforehand. Also, I was charged for two Certificates of Insurance ($20 each) when we only required one. An email regarding this issue has gone unanswered. I am happy with the work the movers did, but paying an extra $120 on for a reason I couldn't possibly have anticipated or prepared for, plus an extra $20 for an unnecessary COI, has left me feeling a little cheated. read more

With all the hassles of my move from Manhattan to New Jersey, I am very glad to have had Rabbit Movers to help do the job. After sending in my online estimate form, I got a long, confusing e-mail from Rabbit Movers telling me how to calculate the quote myself. I didn't bother pursuing with them since it's impossible for me to come up with any tangible number. But when the mover I hired dropped the ball two days before the scheduled move, I called up Rabbit. Mateo took up the task on the spot, patiently came up with his quote (which was almost right on the target), and then gave me a detailed scenario. He also scheduled the packing and moving right away. To save money, which was also suggested by Mateo, I did a lot of packing ahead of time, knowing that the boxes provided by the movers would cost me a fortune--Rabbit's boxes were in good quality, but I did fine collecting free boxes from Food Emporium and Duane Reade. The packing was done well, the movers also happily used the boxes I had collected, and they mindfully marked them which helped a lot for my unpacking. On the next day, they came forty-five minutes late, but the move was done efficiently and methodically, given I had got to move everything out of the apartment as well as two storage units in another location, all in full capacity after almost fifteen years living in New York. The foreman Marcus deserves the most credit; he was easy-going, focused, and diligent. And everyone participating, Blair, Jason, Jack, Erich, and Sully, also worked hard and did the strenuous, long-hour work in good faith. In the end, I tipped the team willingly and happily as it was such a tremendous job. Carolina in the office was very gracious, ensuring me that everything I was concerned about would be taken care of. Sierra at the Claims office contacted me soon after regarding the damages caused by the move. I like that there is no deadline of filing the damage report and that she was actually willing to come down to New Jersey to do the repair herself. The management might have been a bit lax in the beginning, but was attentive and thoughtful throughout the two-day task. I believe that staying in touch with their management is key to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. It is also important to give detailed inventory information when getting an estimate online. For a moving company, the Rabbit people are accommodating and considerate. And regardless of the situations which regularly occur when it comes to moving, the customer-friendly service, willingness to do the tough job, and decent work ethics of the people, make the whole experience so pleasant that I will definitely use Rabbit Movers again and refer them to friends and colleagues whenever opportunity arises. read more

This is a great company with great employees. Let's begin with just making the arrangements. It was incredibly easy, the contract was emailed and handled quickly, as was the COI. The day of the move - they were right there and ready to go - Rio, Kevin, and Sarita (oh, I hope I'm spelling everyone's name correctly- if not, blame the unpacking)- were incredibly quick, careful, and courteous... my landlord was thrilled with how mindful they were of the walls and molding in the very narrow hallways. He took cards - I imagine he'll recommend them to anyone moving into his brownstone! Everything went smoothly - the one hiccup was a miscommunication over packing the kitchen, and they solved the problem without blinking. The move into my new place was so fast, I thought we'd forgotten things! Of course, they hadn't forgotten a thing. Every detail was communicated to me - they were enormously friendly and fun to work with - and a day that should have seemed stressful was made very easy by this team. Moving in NYC is overall a dreaded task, but I must say that my moving day was pretty much a breeze thanks to Rabbit Movers. I was drawn to Rabbit Movers based on Yelp reviews and I liked the idea of supporting local artists. I submitted my info online for a quote and heard back from Matt right away. The price was right so I booked my move and promptly purchased the Yelp deal. Over the next couple of weeks, conversation was clear and professional to keep all of my move details in order. Zach and Jed helped me on moving day and they were great - very friendly and hard working! They got everything from Downtown Manhattan to Park Slope in under four hours. A few days later a representative got back to me apologizing for the delay in response due to a shortage of staff. Ok, it happens. They offered me a credit for the inconvenience which I thought was very nice of them. It definitely encouraged me to keep them as my movers as I am a sucker for great customer service. But wow, were they worth every penny!!!! These guys were AMAZING! They showed up about 5minutes early. They knew every trick in the book to get all my crap down my three story walk up and were so professional in doing so. I loved them. I first dealt with Serge over the phone, who was super friendly and responsive with COI process etc. Then the day of my move, Klaude the foreman, Manny and Raymond were awesome!! initially, I booked my move with Flat Rate Movers but the company rules were so strict and inflexible I switched to Rabbit at the very last minute. Rabbit's hourly rate was reasonable and their reviews on Yelp were overwhelmingly positive. The day of my move Matteo, Nathaniel and Jay showed up on time and ready to roll. They were friendly, professional and respectful of my personal belongings. They wrapped the furniture, took the bed frame apart (reassembled it on the other end) and moved my entire apartment in under 3 hours (quick like bunnies, true to the company name). The cost of my move was less than half of the rate Flat Rate quoted me. I was very pleased with my experience and highly recommend Rabbit Movers. read more

I can't give 5 stars because one of the 4 people who worked, worked super slow and seemed very un-interested in getting the job done, and complained a lot and was not efficient. However the other 3 were amazing, especially Brian. He was on time, super nice, super fast and strong.
