The front room has a space heater, fridge, and microwave along with a twin over queen bunk. There is a solid door separating the front room from the back room. The back room has the window air conditioner and a wifi box along with another twin over queen bunk on one side and a twin over twin bunk on the other side. Keep the door open to get cold air into the front room in hot months. The cabins ( both two and one room rustic cabins) are located close to the comfort station, recreation center, playground, store and main office. We stayed in cabin 26, which is the 2 room cabin closest to the comfort station. This cabin is handicap accessible with a deck and longer picnic table to accommodate wheelchairs, there is also an aboveground fire pit on a cement pad. Be aware that there is a ton of poison ivy near the fire pit and around a log that would otherwise be enticing to sit on. Cabins do not come with linens or bedding so remember to bring a sheet along with your sleeping bag/ blankets and pillow so you aren't sleeping on plastic! We also recommend bringing a power strip as the outlets are all in use. So if you want to plug in your device you'll need to unplug something else. The curtains are sheer, hang up a towel if you need it darker. Water pump outside. The comfort station was always clean, toilets working, showers hot! The store on site sells some eggs and packaged food, fire wood, merchandise, toys, some emergency supplies for RVers, and staff scooped ice cream. Prices are reasonable. Pool was clean and cold. Refreshing on a hot day. Play equipment looked pretty new! There's a jumping pad, play ground equipment for both the littles and the bigs. There are built in ping pong tables outside the office and by the rec center. There are two sets of permanent bags/ Cornhole games by the playground and Gaga ball court. Volleyball net was set up in the play field. Basketball court is small but functional. Balls and paddles were all available in the rec center. Having stayed previously at a tent camp site, I can say that those sites are equally nice. Water is clear, electric works. If you'd like a good look at the seasonal sites available, take a hayride. If you'd like to get a look at the more rustic tent sites, take a walk or a drive down the road at the entrance to the campground. Maps are available in the office. There are also deluxe cabins on site which offer more amenities, check out the website for more details on these. Overall, we had a great stay. Watch out for poison ivy, as there was quite a bit by our cabin. Otherwise, go have a great time!

The sites have been filled with loose gravel so some people have issues getting their rv's level and parked. They could of used a better rock, that will compact. The laundry has only 3 washers and 3 dryers. Half the time at least one of them is not working For as many campers that they have here they could if invested in more machines and make the laundry room larger. You feel like your in a closet. Overall it's a nice place for kids with all the activities for them. I hate the fireworks and booms.

Firstly, our…read morecampsite was marked as a full hookup but the dump tank hookup was so destroyed we could not use it. We still got charged for a full hookup up site. We called for a refund because we could not use the site as it was being advertised and were ignored. Later in the day, the sewer hookup for the site next to us began OVERFLOWING with raw sewage/whatever was coming out of the sewer hookup. We called the camp site multiple times but there was no fix being made. This is a public safety hazard, and there was a creek about 30 feet away, meaning that this camp area was draining sewer matter into the surrounding area's water. This weekend was not great for the resort, it rained so hard later on that the creek completely overflowed. I will give this group a compliment on the fact that they did handle the situation the best that they could. The activities and the pool were nice. But, none of this excuses the fact that there was sewage material flooding out of the ground onto our campsite. We ended up leaving a day early because we couldn't handle it. We have an elderly dog and we were extremely fearful that she was going to contract something from walking around our own site because of the waste flooding out of the ground. Everyone can make their own decisions on whether they visit this campsite but make sure to keep this in mind.

Why are the toilets unlocked and showers not?? Could not figure out confusing WiFi I spy entry codes etc. After a day of long weary travel, I had NO shower means and NO WiFi communication. Argh. Call the tech assistance number you say owners?' After 8 hrs of travel NO thanks. I see the poor reviews here. I understand the owners own the gorgeous house on the property. No one available after hours. The RV lots are 2-3 feet apart. Little privacy, I received a call from the grounds keeper the next day after left message day before. Defensive, NO apology, bordered on argumentative. What a shame as the grounds are quite serene. Know ahead of time what you're facing and plan. I heard campers refer to the owners negatively. Can't you be kind and considerate to your patrons and tired travelers? Please check your phone messages at the very least. 'Nuf said.

It is easily accessible and right down the street from several shops on Randall rd. The sites are level. There are two parts, apparently old and new. We stayed a week in nights the new part... it is open and close to forest preserve trail heads. The old, shaded and a bit more compact. Now... their water is RUSTY!! It turned out camco filter brown. Make sure you have a filtration system and a good one at that's you can't drink the water even though you can drink the water. There are pit toilets but no showers. 10 primitive hike in sites. 70 ish sites for rvs. It is quiet and no one bothered us. Mid week it is basically empty. I'm not sure if we would use this campsite again if we had the opportunity. The water was a huge bummer.
