My first visit here and I have to tell ya, it won't be my last. We joined several friends for a birthday dinner. The place is pretty nice inside and kind of dimly lit with green colored bulbs (see pics) assumingly for the upcoming St. Patty's Day holiday. We were seated immediately and well taken care of by our waitress Kelly (who we just so happened to be friends with). We started off with several appetizers between several of us and we shared amongst everyone in our party. We had stuffed mushrooms, calamari, roasted garlic, hot peppers in oil, Italian greens and bruschetta. All were delicious in their own way. The bruschetta was topped with garlic butter, fresh tomatoes, bleu cheese and sundried tomatoes, toasted and drizzled with a balsamic reduction and the stuffed mushrooms comprised of sautéed onions, seasoned breadcrumbs and a blend of cheeses. All was damn tasty as we sampled from each plate. For my entrée I chose the Veal Parmesan. I only order this if the veal is an actual veal cutlet and not a processed patty so luckily it was a cutlet. It was a large tender breaded cutlet, pounded thin, and fried just right. It was accompanied by a nice portion of penne with red sauce of which was delicious. I'm kind of picky about red sauce and this hit the mark. My wife enjoyed the Blackened Filet Tips in a Gorgonzola cream sauce alongside a loaded, twice baked potato. The filet was cooked perfectly to her preference of medium and were deliciously tender. Add the Gorgonzola sauce and this made for a perfect meal. This was a great evening out with friends while enjoying excellent food and a full bar for whatever your drink choice may be. We will be back. read more

Wow! What a great find. Located in a secluded area that looked like townhouses and one level office spaces rose a little Italy. Service was on point. Atmosphere was authentic Italian including the music. I knew we were in the right place when I heard two gentleman at the bar speaking Italian. It was extremely hard to find quality Italian food outside the NY/NJ area. Everything was delicious. A little different. For example: Romano cheese for fettuccine Alfredo, finally ground sausage for my penne, fried mozzarella. Would eat here again. read more

This restaurant recently moved 2 miles from the old address. Their business card still shows the old address. Check the website to make sure that you are at the right place. This place has a 4 course feast for $14.95. Great deal. The soup and the dessert were probably two courses that are not terribly exciting but one shouldn't complain when the food is so reasonably price. The short ribs and the stuffed mushroom for appetizer were probably the best. The string beans were well cooked but a bit oily. The chef didn't cook my steak to medium like I wanted but it was forgivable. This place also has a wine list that is fairly price. You can get a bottle for 12 dollars. Definitely worth coming. Very disappointed. After hearing so many fabulous reviews we decided to give it a shot. We both ordered a fruity drink and they were pure vodka; our waiter was fabulous and he brought extra juice and sprite to attempt to calm down the alcohol content to make it somewhat enjoyable. Very close to having one of the worse meals ever. From the appetizer to the main course. The appetizer was over cooked and flavorless, to the entree having no flavor as well. Placed the order for a ribeye steak and received what had the texture of a hanger steak. I asked the server to check with the person who prepared the steak what type of steak was cooked, because of the lack of flavor and the denseness of the meat. The reply from the kitchen was. "The meat was cooked medium-well which causes the meat to be change texture". There was no marbling, no fat, nothing that resembled a true ribeye! We went here for a holiday gathering. Our appetizer of mushrooms was good however for 8 dollars we would expect to get more than four mushrooms. My chicken and greens was cooked well and had decent flavor however the amount of greens on it made me feel like I had to get a instant tooth pick or dental floss. My potato and peppers were my side dish, but the potatoes were soggy and drowning in the oil. Jennifer's dish of a baked potato and beef tips was average, then we get our bill with the server's tip included due to it being with a group. 78 dollars. Not worth it considering the places you could spend this money at and the quality for the price. Plus our server despite it being a group should not have been entitled to a tip her size. I had a baby shower in the back room. Food was absolutely excellent!!! Service from the staff working the event was par... Not friendly at all.. did not work the tables at all. I had to aske several times for water pitcher refills on several tables. I had to locate do with e to cut the cake out in the restaurant area. I had to ask 3 times for my packaged leftover food to be brought out! I had 10 less people than what I paid for.... & I barely had any chicken leftover. We like this restaurant very much . The service is great , the food is plenty and delicious . We were just there the other night , didn't bother to call in a reservation and should have , it was packed ! the wait wasn't long, maybe 15 mins , our waitress kept apologizing but we didn't mind because its definitely worth the wait. Its a very nice atmosphere with subdued lighting ,,perfect for a romantic dinner or relaxing after a stressful day at work. Wife and I have been coming here for the past few years. We've never had a bad meal . Last night for my wife's birthday was no exception. The service was outstanding. Salads were fresh, mine with blue cheese which was really good, rolls were tasty, we both ordered the queen size surf and turf. The filet was done perfectly and So tender that it cut easily, with a wonderful wood fired taste, the twice baked potato was wonderful and the lobster tail done just right. I attended our company Christmas party here. I had always heard great things about their food but this was my first time at this restaurant. We had a buffet meal with hor d'oeures before. Everything was very good and the staff was attentive of replacing empty trays. The mixed greens salad was a great mixture of various tender greens. How I dislike a salad of just head lettuce! The other offerings were delightfully different of the usual buffets. There was stuffed mushrooms that were so good and my all time favorite, Spanakopita! There were stuffed hot peppers that brought tears to my husbands eyes and that is rare! There was very tender chicken though I don't know what the very flavorful sauce was called and one of my favorites beef tenderloin with a Gorgonzola sauce. For dessert there were pies and cheesecake with a nice cherry sauce. Everything was splendid. Buffets are usually ok but this one was great. My wife and I went there to celebrate an anniversary . We ordered the 4 course special that they are running this month. It was great and our waiter was fantastic. This is a hidden gem and fine dinners look for their next great dinning experience, need to look no farther than Austintown. Food was great that we even decided to get a drink at the bar afterwards. EXCEPT my boyfriend and I were denied service because the bartender told us our VALID LICENSES WERE INVALID. We were shocked because we are 26 and 23 years old and both had valid licenses. They only denied us service because we are from out of state. My boyfriend is active duty military and even showed his military id and the bartender took his military ID to the back room where she apparently "scanned" his id.... she comes back saying that his military ID was INVALID. ACTIVE DUTY PEOPLE. 26 and 23 years old and we were denied service because we were from out of state. We even spoke to a "manager" and she even looked at our birth dates on our ids and clearly knew that we were over 21. So if you're out of state trying to get a drink.. better try somewhere else because they will not serve you! read more

I was very unimpressed with this restaurant. The atmosphere off the bat was undesirable. Very cafeteria-like. The bar noise overwhelmingly spilled into the dining area. The service was ok. The wine was ok. The calamari was chewy and gummy, the 'baked potato' seemed microwaved- it was very chewy and Luke warm. The filet was terrible and not cooked to my preference. Will not go back. I was at an event catered by Rachel's. While the food was good a member of my family found their chicken to be under cooked to the point it was pink. This was from the same pan I had gotten chicken to feed my 16 month old son. When I raised my concern to the person planning the event from our group I was told I was the 4th person to complain of the same problem. The kitchen staff told us not to worry the chicken is double cooked -baked and fried Personally I can cook a piece of chicken 10 different ways if in the end it is raw, it is raw. In my opinion Rachel's had a chance to expose their food to a very large crowd. However the exposed themselves in a very negative way. I would be surprised if any one attending the event ever thinks about using Rachel's or eating at the restaurant. read more

Honestly, was not at all impressed. It began w/ my strawberry daiquiri. No frozen drinks as their blender was broken, so I asked for it on the rocks. This is supposed to be a "high end" restaurant, but the drink I received probably could have been made as well at any bar on Mahoning Ave. It was syrupy, served in a BEER glass and had a dollop of whipped cream on top. Yuck. The salad greens were fresh out of a plastic bag instead of FRESH greens. I ordered a ribeye but received a strip steak which was dry instead of juicy, like a ribeye. The baked sweet potato was the best part of my entree. When desserts were offered, I asked if they were made here at the restaurant. "No, they aren't," was the server's reply. I would think a restaurant of this supposed caliber would have its own in-house pastry chef. The server... Our party was there for 2 hours and our water was never refilled. He obviously lacked any enthusiam and only began circling us when it came close to closing time. I wouldn't consider this a high end restaurant at all. I also agree with another post about the ambiance of a cafeteria. The tables were nothing more than the type set up for wedding receptions and banquets, the kind that you knock your knees on the mechanism beneath the table. read more
