this is not a restaurant for anyone with allergies. and as i read in other reviews, the woman answering the phone was still very unprofessional despite these reviews.. i called and the woman on the phone was extremely rude when i asked questions about what they offer, which makes me nervous about ordering from here. i asked if their sauces were gluten free and she said "well you don't put wheat in sauces?" clearly she is not aware of how meatballs or alfredo are made.. needless to say, we won't eat here lol. read more

This place was very dirty looking inside. I almost walked away after I had soup. There was some type of bug when I opened up my napkin to get my spoon. The food was marginal at best, but I'll never be back. We parked behind the restaurant and I saw at least two rats poking around the back door. I'm not a fan of rodent poop. read more

Although it's been here for a very long time, this was my first visit and only for a take-out order of a few pizzas. We ordered one with extra cheese and pepperoni and one white minus the peppers as that's how my teenage daughter likes it. The pepperoni pizza was pretty tasty. The sauce was good and the cheese plentiful. The crust was probably the best part which I love a good crust. The white looked good although I didn't sample however my wife and daughter gave it a thumbs up. Ill have to go again and dine-in to try some of their other Italian dish offerings as the pizza was good enough to bring me back for another visit. read more

Best chicken Marsala in town! One of the many times I ordered from Grubhub they once forgot part of my order. They noticed and called me before I opened the bag. Someone from the restaurant personally delivered my missing food with a free dessert approximately 5 minutes later. Other restaurants have often forgotten items from my orders but Marinos was the only one to care enough to correct it, and they even reached out to me instead of the other way around. Just stopping in town for the night. Decided on Italian and happy we did. Very nice dining room with tables and booths. I can't stop wishing I had another serving of the pasta with greens and hot peppers. A large serving of spaghetti piled on top with sautéed spinach and peppers sliced thin and really not too hot. A delicious dish, garlicky and tasty. My husband had spaghetti with sauce, meatballs and mushrooms. He loved it and actually finished it. We also had a side salad and a buttered roll. I had to take my leftovers with and enjoyed it for dinner again the next night. I would go back for dinner at Marino's anytime. Service was great as well. read more

Never going here again. My bill total was 48.12 zero tip. I gave the waitress ten dollars in physical cash for a tip. I wake up to an updated charge notification. For 50.12 understandably it's $4 however it's theft. Calll the manager to speak to her about the charge. She wants to give nothing but attitude. And I have the call recorded. Although I have loved the food in the past and went there many times I won't be going back after the gift card I received for Christmas is used up. The fact that the "disclaimer" sticker on the menu cover states that the charge for some items "may" have increased does not cover the fact that you are spinning a wheel of chance when your bill comes. Why not strike through the obsolete price and show what you are really going to pay? A friend's entree' was listed as $14.99 in the menu but was charged at $18.99 when the bill came. The manager was questioned but refused to correct it due to the little sticker! That was months ago but I ventured in again (due to the gift card) and this time my item was listed as $14.99 but I was charged $16.99! It definitely is BUYER BEWARE! read more

They have been in business for closing in on around 50 years. It's just COVID caused them to get rid of their buffet that was a favorite. I went in once they reopened after COVID and I found the sauce to so bland! Also the prices went through the roof IMO. read more

My wife introduced me to this restaurant. What a place! The dining room is bright and open. The staff are a delight. I ordered gnocchi: it was delicious. My wife ordered the Italian Delight (ravioli and two other pastas): it was almost too much for her! Marino's sauce is delicious. Their salads are fresh and delicious. They also sell spirits. My wife had wine, Lambrusco, while I had lager. They were good additions to this delicious meal. Our waitress was ready for any request. First time eating there with my wife. We have had some great Italian food together and this meal was no exception. Their homemade Italian mini buns served warm and fresh are wonderful. If you like a fresh light tomato sauce that compliments the pasta and doesn't overwhelm it you'll love this one. I had crab cakes and eggplant Parm with penne pasta and it was very good. She had spaghetti and meatballs and couldn't quit dipping the homemade bread in her sauce lol. Great service as well. read more

Loved it. The wife and I stopped in for dinner. Small place on the outside, but when we got inside was nicely laid out. Great menu and specials. I had the veal parm, large portion, beautiful light veal, wife had white fish with mango salsa. Wedding soup was excellent. Bread basket was ok, I prefer fresh bread with oil for dipping. This was baked and buttered still ok but kind of dull flavor wise. Friends we went with had salad instead of soup, that looked good as well. Good service. Really above average to excellent food. Oh and beans and greans appetizer that came with hot peppers in oil. Needed more garlic on that. Really was 3.5 out of 5. But service took it to four. I am weak for Youngstown Italian food. The veal was REALLY good. Friends had the seafood stuffed whitefish. They really liked their meals. So, consistency is a big plus. read more

I don't review many places but Marino's Resturant is so incredible I had no choice! From the Chicken Alfredo sauce to the pizza and penne with red sauce you can tell there is a true Italian in the kitchen. After several months of trying I finally made it to Marino's! Certainly worth the wait. The dinner buffet starts at 4pm so I thought I was really smart by getting there early. I wasn't expecting a family of 50 showing up for a birthday party. I've been to many Italian family functions over the years so I knew that there was going to be a lot of energy in the room and to be patient with the servers. I'm just glad they let me order the buffet. The pasta with vodka sauce was fantastic as was the chicken and sausage with peppers. The eggplant parm was good but for my taste the eggplant was cut too thin so there was more breading than I would have cared for. All in all it lived up to all the positive reviews. read more

This place has been around for a while but we always forget about it. So we decided Saturday night let's do the buffet because we can try a little bit of everything. Saturday night they have a buffet from 4 to 8 and 2 main entrees on the buffet (not sure if they change every week) but I called and asked what was on the buffet and that night was eggplant parm and chicken francie ( I think that is how you spell it) the eggplant was really good and the chicken was super moist and melted in your mouth. Fresh baked bread was a real treat with the peppers and oil that we ordered which were really good if you like spicy. They had other choices on the buffet as well so I pretty much tried everything. Loved the meatballs and pasta in vodka sauce. Sausage and peppers were ok but I prefer spicy sausage and peppers. Green beans were delicious or maybe I was so hungry that everything taste delicious. Anyway I am glad I finally decided to give this little place a try. Every night they have different specials on the menu but glad I went for the buffet you won't leave hungry if you go on Saturday evening. read more
