I needed to have it adjusted to fit properly so I brought it here despite no longer living in SL. I had been bringing my jewelry and watches here for 20+ years and had nothing but great experiences. Turns out those experiences must have been great because my jewelry up to that point was cheap. The process to adjust the bracket of the watch was taking longer than expected, so the gentleman apologizes over his shoulder telling me, "They make these quote unquote expensive watches really difficult". That statement concerned me as I had bought my watch online. Did I get a fake?!? No. He just has VERY STRONG opinions on "expensive" watches. He proceeded to enlighten me at length using the analogy that it was essentially the equivalent of buying a BMW when a Ford will give you the exact same vehicle. for considerably less. He went on to say that this is why people come to him, he's not trying to sell them anything, he's just telling the truth. Well, to me, he totally sh*t on a purchase I was excited about. Something I had looked forward to for years. He made me feel like an idiot for even wanting it, much less ACTUALLY being stupid enough to buy it. I walked in super stoked to get be so close to wearing my new watch. I walked out feeling like I'd just received a lecture on how stupid this man thinks I am. I will not be using extra gas to return to this store.
