I came here and received a quote for a new piece. I unfortunately lost the business card with the quote on it but went back into the store hoping to review the quote. Turns out there was nothing saved in my account. They had another staff member assist us and get us a new quote, which ended up being about double the price of the first one. They couldn't figure out why the cost difference was so high so we asked them to price things out two different ways. After almost two hours in the store, I had to leave. We asked them to email us the updated quote when they were done with it but we have never received this. We ended up finding a similar piece at a different place for a better price. read more

I am a part time nanny and work with a child with nonverbal disabilities. I visited the plaza this weekend to pick up food at a business immediately next door. I was unable to find any parking in the lot or any spots around the building which presented a problem since when we got there the child expressed apprehension about getting out. Lewis Jewlers has an entire section of the lot marked off for themselves, which is entirely fair if that is part of their lease agreement. Unable to find anything else, I parked in the further spot (there were over 10 open spots currently), rolled down my window to show myself and the child in the back, and indicated I was going to come ask as question. As I greeted the security officers working to explain the situation-before I could even get my greeting out the security officer cut me off and told me to leave. And started to going on about how this lot was for paying customers only. When I finally managed to get a word out and indicated that I needed to just grab food that was already ordered/paid for by the child's parents and that we had been circling the lot and had been unable to find anything else. The security officer cut me off again before I could finish speaking and told me to leave. I thanked him for his time and left. I totally understand there are rules and I'm not arguing even that the security officer should've made an exception but I thought it was very disrespectful to 1) assume before I had a word out of my mouth I wasn't a customer and 2) cut me off repeatedly and use a tone that was frankly condescending. I've worked in customer-service facing positions before and have also had to enforce rules before that not everyone has loved, and personally I would never speak to anyone this way. A simple "no" and a kind (or even neutral tone) would've handled the situation. The food was for a group gathering later on and I was sure to share my experience with this business with the parents when I returned and in turn, heard them sharing with their friends at the get together. Hopefully this business considers showing people courtesy and respect in general and not just patrons. Again, the issue was not with the security officer NOT making being able to make an exception, but rather the contempt and direspect I was treated with for just asking a question. Do not recommend doing business here if this is how they treat people that simply happen upon the plaza. read more

I had a terrible shopping experience attempting to purchase an engagement ring at Lewis. The sales associate was condescending, would not listen to my preference for platinum over white gold (I am active and mildly clumsy and don't want to re-plate my ring annually), and thought it was amusing to say she had the information but wouldn't give it to us when we asked whether there was a chart that showed how each of the 4Cs impact price to optimize our diamond. Since our experience with her wasn't amazing but we liked the expensive ring she helped us pick, we decided to sleep on it and *scheduled a follow up appointment*. When we arrived she was working with another couple near the beginning of the spiel while 3 other team members stood in an empty shop. She did not pause to greet us or apologize, just kept raising her finger to let us know it would be a bit. More than 20 minutes in, another team members finally realized we might be upset and offered us a drink. Lewis jewelers is our for to for more than 10 years now. Gifts, repair, cleaning, batteries, etc. the prices are fair and the sale people are the best. They have gone through some changes over the years, such as, they don't carry Pandora anymore. My husband always built on to my bracelet for holidays and birthdays. It was easy for him to shop as a bead or five was a safe buy. Sadly no longer at Lewis. I don't think I would have ever started Pandora if Lewis hadn't carried it. Their custom designer is working on an anniversary ring for our 10year. In the meantime, I still enjoy the last custom from our 5 year, that was built from my engagement then wedding ring. I really hesitated whether or not to give this review, but ultimately decided it was the right thing to do. I came in Saturday to see some engagement rings. They had a large selection online, but the selection at the store was even bigger than expected. Very nice. Unfortunately, the saleswoman wasn't. When the receptionist asked her to help, she couldn't have seemed more uninterested. Despite the heavy traffic in store, she was just leaning on the counter texting on her phone. The receptionist saw her disengagement and offered us a drink to quell, which was nice. But that was the last of the niceties. The saleswoman (Carrie) persisted in acting extremely annoyed by my presence. Every question felt like an inconvenience and every comment brushed off or met with an eye roll that I can only hope she thought I didn't notice her doing. I'm hoping to only buy one engagement ring in my life, but good gracious this dampened an event that should have been very special. Do not service your pieces here unless you want them to come back damaged. I brought two quartz watches in for battery replacements, and the person who serviced them scratched both case backs in multiple places. I brought them back in to address the scratches, and they brushed the machine finish on one to a point that it is now very dull and scratched-looking. Moreover, there are now smaller though more apparent scratches on the sides of the watch case, and my leather band was additionally damaged--no doubt when someone was trying to rub out the original scratches. Very dissatisfied. You're better off sending your watches back to the manufacturers or buying the tools to do them yourself. read more

My fiancé went here twice to try and buy my engagement ring and the same girl just kept giving him the price on rings instead of showing him what he wanted. It was CLEAR BOTH times she was judging him off his looks on what SHE thought he could afford as he could only sneak there in his work clothes. My mother was in from out of town and believed she needed a battery in her watch. A friend recommended Lewis Jewelers. We went to Lewis Jewelers and had a battery installed for $30. The price was about twice what my mother's local (another state) jeweler had recently charged for a battery install, but she wanted the watch repaired, we didn't know where else to go, and they were recommended. A couple days later the watch was running about half the time, so back to Lewis Jewelers we go to ask them to take a look. After checking the watch, a gentleman comes out and tells my mother the watch is running slowly because it needs a cleaning, and a cleaning would require a $500 deposit and the total may be as much as $700. The gentleman assured us with his decades of experience and expertise, doing this for hours every day, that a cleaning was the issue. We declined to have the watch cleaned. A week later, my mother calls from home after taking the watch to her jeweler. He tightened the screw holding the battery and the watch is now working well, no cleaning needed. This was my only experience with Lewis Jewelers and with their reputation I am sure they have helped many people. However, I would recommend getting a second opinion on any expensive repairs, or possibly even going elsewhere for routine maintenance for things like battery replacements. read more

Looking for battery at good price and they promptly responded with the price on their yelp page as soon as I requested a quote. Greeted immediately after entering. They took the watch and changed it in 4 mins and then I showed them my yelp check-In which got me a free battery change on my 2nd watch. The transaction and customer experience was superb. However, the order did not go smoothly. My watch was left on the front porch by UPS when the shipping label clearly stated that signature is required and it seems that the watch smith might have had issues with the screws as some of them had signs of damage. Took in over 30k worth of gold and diamonds today (I know the worth since I have appraisals). Showed the items as well as the appraisals to the lady behind the counter. Who said "those are useless we dont need those" knew then and there how this was going to go. Was then offered $2,600 for three rings, one huge opal, three 1ct + diamonds and a large chunk necklace which had one of the diamonds set in the center. I just laughed and she asked "well what were you looking for"? Laughed again and said a lot more then that. "Well we have appraised value and cash value". Wanted to blow up so bad but my fiance dragged me away. You're telling me that you'll give me 10% of the worth of my items? Also that you arent going to turn around and pop those stones out and sell them for probably 8-10k a piece? I get overhead and all that I've ran businesses myself I get it all. But to try and take advantage of someone because you think they are hard up please. I'm not some typical out on his luck and needs to sell these to put food in my kids mouth kinda guy. So my point of this review is to warn people about going to them for buying or selling. You've been warned that they are going to fuck you over so just stay away. read more

I can't praise Lewis Jewelers and especially Keith for his kindness and patience enough. went to Lewis to shop a bit for an upgrade to my engagement ring for our 25th anniversary. I had a general idea that I wanted either a bypass or cathedral setting. I worked with Keith to find a beautiful Michael M cathedral mount. Keith encouraged me to look at the Michael M website for any other styles of interest. There was no pressure to make a decision to purchase that first visit. I found a couple more options and sent an email to Keith asking him if he could order the settings for me to see in person. A few days later, he contacted me that the settings had arrived for me to view. I went in with my husband to make the final selections. All of the settings were lovely, but the original one was the winner. Choosing the diamond was the harder part. Keith was very patient and explained to us what to look for and how to balance the 4Cs and get the best option for our budget. He was careful to not show us anything that would blow the budget. I selected a larger diamond with SI2 clarity. We completed the order, went home and I had second thoughts about the diamond all evening. I called the store the next day and asked them to hold the order until I could talk to Keith again about the diamond selection. I went in a couple days later and we looked at a couple other options, including one that I liked from my first visit. I chose that one as an slightly smaller SI1 and felt much better (and it was a little under budget). The ring was mounted and sized in a few days. I absolutely love how it came out! VERY dishonest, they sold my 84 year old Mother a bunch of jewelry when they knew her mental status was off. My Mom had 24 hour caregivers due to her mental status. My parents had shopped at Lewis Jewelers for years so that man/owner knew my Mom, by first name. My parents have spent well over $150,000 in this store over the years. I received a call from our caregiver when my Mom was at Lewis with her. The caregiver asked if my Mom was allowed to buy jewelry and I said yes as long as it is within reason, caregiver then told me it was $84,000 and there were multiple pieces of jewelry, that was not ok. I called the Lewis store while my Mom was still there and asked to speak to the manager. He got on phone and I explained the situation with my Mom. He said you cant return, he said he already sized the ring. He then proceeded to ring up the sale on 3 different transactions so it wouldn't set off any bells when such a large purchase was made on her AMEX. Who goes out and buys a diamond necklace with sapphire, matching bracelet and ring, used Rolex, 2-3 pairs of pearls in one shop!! AND the Rolex was used, my Mom has never bought anything used in her entire life. This place is run by a crook and I will never buy anything here again. read more
