Ryan Downing was my provider and I only worked with him. That made progress much easier than seeing multiple providers. We were always on the same page. Ryan reviewed my regular routines and provided supplemental activities to directly address my complaint. I added suggested exercises to my regular routines and I have not experienced a muscle spasm since.

The activities ladies both are great as well. Healthcare is a difficult job just watching what they go through on daily basis is not easy so I get finding great staff is hard. The reason the score is so low: Food is 1 star at best Prescription refills 2 stars at best(usually a day or two without medication) this happened to me 4 out 5 times. Common complaint amongst patients as well. -Keeping patients that disrupt everyone staff a d patients at all hours screaming racial slurs, even witnessed a nurses aid being punched by a patient that should be in a more appropriate facility that is better prepared to handle the more emotional trouble patients. It made many of the patients uncomfortable after they let the abusive patient stay in the facility. One month later he threatened to punch a female employee infront of half dozen patients.i understand that each patient is a good amount of money for the facility but a lawsuit could really counter any profits by allowing such behavior to continue. -Avalon Management needs to reed the documents everyone signs when they arrive and follow them for the safety of the staff and the patients. This would eliminate the above issue and would in return have better reviews, happier staff (better quality staff as well) and happier patients. I walked in, and with an injured shoulder, neck, and back, they had me fill out eight pages of…read morepaperwork with no desk. I asked them for help and they refused. They said I had to do it myself. I immediately felt put off. Get back to the room and they asked me the exact same questions that were on the form. The form took 30 minutes. The questions were about to take 30 minutes when I asked why we were doing it again. She Said she had to get it into the computer. I asked why she couldn't just type it from what I wrote and she said that this way was quicker (for who?). After all that, the supposed chiropractor came in. First thing I felt was used car salesman. I worked with them for years, and this guy reeked of it. He proceeded to talk some word salad, came over, had me turn my neck to the left, then the right and then he pushed down on my neck and it has hurt worse ever since. The appointment was running obviously long, I've never been at an appointment where I sat there for an hour and a half and it wasn't even halfway done. I had an appointment afterwards, and my phone was dead. I asked them if I could either charge up my phone or if I could use their phone to reschedule my appointment. They refused. It gets better. Then they lied to labor and industries and told them that I was hostile and walked out in the middle of the appointment. I was never hostile. I asked for something and they refused and I told them what would have to happen if they didn't let me charge my phone or make a phone call. They weren't nice. They weren't accommodating. And they are liars. This is what I call a shill for labor and industries. Don't go here. Don't let your doctor send you here. They will not take care of you, and there's a chance you will waste your time And have them lie about you on medical records. Human garbage. He needs to read his oath again. My recent exceptional experience with ATI (at 11112 Pacific AV, Tacoma) rivals the quality of one I had from another outfit recommended at the time by L & I. The staff here extremely competent, taking time to understand exactly what's going on and tailoring a program to correct the problem. They explain carefully what is to be done and why, and watch to see whether or not one's form needs correction. The therapy room is spacious and has a lot of program options that include some machine aids, such as bike, treadmill, elliptical, and cable pulls, as well as everything else imaginably useful for recovery exercises! I found them to be friendly and informative. Each therapist can step in and continue one's program as needed.

So back in mid 2023, I broke my foot... Like the devastating kind of break. I had three fractures…read moreand a torn ligament that resulted in a major surgery that required four screws be placed in my foot to stabilize it and pin the ligament while it healed... End to end, I spent the better part of seven months in a boot. It was pretty awful. After surgery, my orthopedic surgeon recommended physical therapy... He said that it definitely could help me and I should give it a shot, even though I was skeptical. It's important to note that I was over 300 pounds when I had my final surgery and I was in a very weird place where I had to exercise if I wanted to lose weight, but my injury was so grievous that anything more than a slow walk was excruciating the next day. Enter Nate at Anchor Physical Therapy... I had my initial intake with him and while I did try another therapist, they weren't as good as a fit, so I adjusted my schedule to make sure I was available when Nate was available, and I started showing up for his first appointment every Friday morning. I've been working with Nate for over a year and while weight loss was definitely not part of our goal setting together, it was part of my personal journey, and he contributed to this greatly. He gave me homework, and I did it... Ensuring that I was moving my body, stretching, and doing the little things that he asked me to do in order to get better. This is an essential part of the journey, doing the homework. I won't bore you with all of the myriad of details of my recovery, but suffice just to say that in the last year I have lost 90 pounds, and I have graduated from a hobble to training for a 5K, after being told that it was likely I would never run again. With help from Anchor Physical Therapy, I have overcome the odds and in spite of injury, osteoarthritis, and schedule challenges, I've come out on top. As far as details go, I would also like to add that the front desk staff and management is phenomenal. They were always really great about dealing with my insurance, which is Tricare and that can be challenging at times. The referrals didn't always come through the right way, or there was a hiccup, but they always made sure it got taken care of, and they communicated every step of the way.
