I currently have a unit at Radiant Storage. I have found the facility to be clean and well maintained in an historic building in galveston. Entry and access to my first floor unit is easy. My interactions with the management have been disappointing. I have found them to be unaccommodating on basic requests and rude during most of my interactions over the last year. I have had storage for several years in Extra Space Storage closer to my house and have never had these issues with their on-site staff. Looking forward to my move out date. read more

This is hands down the best storage facility on the island. The price is fair, the building is clean and basically a fortress. Michael and his co worker were absolutely amazingly helpful. They are under new management and if there was anything wrong with the place previously they are working to get everything fixed. I highly recommend this place. You are wasting your money if you're storing somewhere else. read more

I have had the storage unit for less than 1 year and they have already went up on the price TWICE!! This third price is so CRAZY HIGH EXPENSIVE that I'm happily getting my things out of here and paying half the price for better conditions and still close. Noone bothered disclosing the place was being sold when I signed up to rent a unit. I was charged the full amount for 6 days of storage!! I called the place for a good 4 or 5 days. ...even emailed a few emails ...NO RESPONSE at all. When I finally decided to go there in person im told the previous owner sold and the new owners were in charge ...the new owners immediately jacked the rates up by 30 something dollars AND made it mandatory we have some device in our unit that alerts us if there's movement in our unit.... why is it mandatory and wasn't with the previous owners? To ne it sounds like a way to get another 15 bucks out of everyone, like raising the rates wasn't enough...but ultimately what it did was force me to look for another storage facility. read more

Did I need to store my things in a concrete bunker? Maybe. Do I feel safer knowing belongings are 8 feet above the ground behind walls of solid concrete? Yup! Maybe I'll shelter here during the next hurricane. All kidding aside, this building will be standing long after I'm gone. I really hate Radiant right now. I flew into Houston and rented an SUV to move things into a space I rented at Radiant a year ago. They closed yesterday without notification or explanation, and are still closed Saturday at 3pm. Posted open hours are 8am to 8pm. I'm flying out early Monday morning, and am going to be completely screwed if I can't access the space I am paying for. I have a rented vehicle full of furniture, and nowhere to put it. There are all kinds of storage spaces on Galveston. Do not give these people your money. It's a safe assumption that if you pay for a storage space, it will be accessible when they say it is, right? Not at Radiant. This place sucks. Even when they are open, there are very few dollies or carts available. Elevators barely work, or don't work at all. There's no customer service - calls go to a call center that sounds like it's in the Philippines that can't offer any assistance. I'm sitting here in the parking lot, utterly screwed by Radiant. I'll be going after them for a grand, after I build an effigy of the assholes and throw it off a bridge. After setting it on fire. read more

Short term rental, loved that it was strong facility on high ground withstood hurricane. Safety features to let us know if anyone came to the unit. They had carts available. We brought moth balls, so no critters. No problem with mold but it is Galveston so would recommend putting damp rid if that is a concern. Anyway our experience was positive. read more

Horrible owners. Our contents were covered in mold due to high humidity. They have no one onsite. There electricity was out and their relative humidity is over 80 percent. They won't pay for their damages. They sell insurance that won't cover the damage they caused. They are frauds and will not back up the service they sell. They will just steal your money. Bring your own push cart or dolly. A mile walk to the unit carring 1 box at a time. No push carts , no way of carrying your stuff to the unit. GOOD THINGS Very Clean ,nice remodeling of the building and good part of town. read more

tl:dr: In less than a month 1/2 of renting, all my belongings were ruined by toxic mold. Fraudulently charged for climate controlled when it wasn't. Not covered. Story. Rented first week of April 2023 due to getting floors redone. Rolled up with movers to move items back 2 week ago and everything was covered in toxic mold. Could only remediate metal. Lost photos, "soft" items including a very expensive custom leather sofa and some antiques. Owner is not local. Management company all remote. Recorded them stating that the AC went out in April but they still charged me for climate control & won't do anything about it. Insurance says owner gross negligence not covered, owner has to pay. So now I have to navigate the court system and it's a nightmare when Radiant Storage Copper Management is the managing company but the owner is not local. Have to spend hundreds to break the anonymity to find the owner. It's just a total nightmare and they don't care about the public's health, I had to all out the police since this is a public health issue, and they wouldn't even go into the building with masks because of the stench from the street. Went back again and looks like they have some poor AC guy masked up trying to fix it but that won't restore or fix all the damage in there to everyone's units. Once the spores get in to fabrics, paper, leather and soft wood nothing to do. Pictures are just what I could get from outside, the stench was so bad I was getting sick. I had to go outside, but they can't wipe off that mold, it was deep and black in places. read more

Horrible facility. Homeless people living in two units, probably more. Dog feces in the hallway because there is no on-site management. The few carts available for use in hauling things to and from disappeared after a few weeks. Either stolen or renters realizing the only way to have one available was to lock it up in your own unit. I've never had a cockroach problem with any storage facility I've rented from. But, Radiant in Galveston was the worse. Management was unresponsive to multiple complaints. And to be honest, it was a total nightmare. I will say that Jennifer was wonderful on the phone. They have no one on site. Church Street is shut down and under construction. I was trying to sign my contract online, and their system is ridiculous! The door is so heavy, that I cannot open it without help. They say there are two entrances, but there are not. Although they say there is an elevator, and there is... You have to go up three very long, steep ramps to get to the first floor. If I hadn't been in such a rush, I would have never rented this unit. I'm just hoping I can save some of you from a horrible nightmare experience! And by the way it says Karan storage on the building. So who knows what is going on?? This place is ridiculous! We rented a 5x10 unit over the phone and checked in the next day. When we got there, the entire left corner is blocked by a giant cylander column making 1/4 of the unit unusable. When we complained they said no more units and would not refund the 25.00 administrative fee. Homeless everywhere. Apparently there was 15-20 living in the top floor a few weeks ago. Building is not secure. Stairwells are disgusting. Building is full of broken glass and trash. They over charge their customers. There is no customer service. The door code is always messed up and you can never access the building, but that's okay because all the side doors are unlocked. There are cockroaches absolutely everywhere. Stay far away from this disaster. They also won't prorate your rent if you have to move out early in the month and will literally just keep hundreds of dollars. They double your rent without warning also and force you to use their insurance and pay for it. Probably the worst storage operation I've ever seen. read more

This place is horrific and terribly run. There is garbage every where, inside and out, and I almost stepped in poop on the inside ramp. The last three times we have been there, the front door is unlocked for anyone to enter. No access code needed! I signed up at $51, one month after moving in they increased the fee to $82/month. The last issue I had with them was they inadvertently closed my account because they received a "move out" notice from us that we did not send and, of course, they cannot provide a copy (bc it does not exist). I had to reopen an account due to their error and now they are charging me $99. While all of this was going on (hours on the phone) we had to keep going over to check that our stuff was still secure even though they lied and said they have on site workers (that they later admitted they do not). They have no clue if people's units are secure or not. The people at the posted number are not helpful, put me on hold endlessly and disconnected me half the time then stone walled me when I tried to escalate the issue. read more
