I was able to get it to 75% strength after 6 weeks but I still couldn't run or twist it. When I transitioned back to road riding in the spring, I did not feel comfortable pushing it. So, worried I'd have a chronic injury, I saw Marc for my first acupuncture session. He listened to me, was exceptionally thoughtful, treated it -- and encouraged me to push -- so I did. Within two hours after my first treatment (three hours ago), my ankle felt stable for the first time since I injured it. I was much more confident to push and I rode 20% faster than I had all spring. It would have been nice to know beforehand but I understand things happen. I have a couple of appointments for another acupuncturist and I'm hopeful they will be there. My initial appointment was fine and the lady was very nice but I think my disappointment overshadowed the session. I'm hopeful it was a fluke and I will report later after my next session.
