The mount for my steering damper broke and made it impossible to ride. I was referred to Vista welding by a gentleman when I was searching for someone who may be able to repair the mount. I met Mike who is the son of the owner. He was extremely helpful and was genuinely sympathetic to my situation. His shop not only repaired the broken mount, but I believe it is now much stronger than the original setup. They also primed and painted the repair at no additional cost and it looks fantastic. I spoke to Dave via instagram, he had room to take my car in, and at the most said it would be a month or two to finish my car. My car is a 70 maverick, has a V8 swap and and an auto to stick conversion. Dave was tasked to finish it . As I ran into a few , roadblocks in the build . So when I brought the Mav over to Dave , my lady , bro in law & best friend, helped me unload the Mav off the trailer . I told Dave , that the hood needed to be bolted down, but may have needed to be tapped , at the hood hinge location. It was a custom fiberglass hood valued at about a 1000.00 I left these parts on the car , the custom chin spoiler, valued at 250.00 and the grille , which I just paid about 300.00 for it . I'll get to the reason why I am mentioning these parts later on. I told Dave , "please take care of my maverick. I have my life savings in it." And the hood isn't bolted down. " I left a deposit with Dave & got my receipt. That was Aug 18,2019 Checked back in with Dave about a month later, car was still in the same exact spot . Untouched . Which was very upsetting, and to top it off , David, had taken in several more projects. My car just sat, as it was clearly being ignored. Damage occurred in nov,2019 Dec 4 2019 Picked up grille & no repairs He said car will be done 3 wks from then Jan 3, 2020 Checked on Mav Car is in exact spot Damage is present Dave was out of town Jan 6,2020 Dave was in town But not available Avoided my phone call An only messaged through Instagram Jan8 ,2020 1015am Messaged Dave again for estimating finish date No reply if he is there or not 1-29-19 U joint drop Off Damages are still present 2-24-2020 dropped off the intake . Only reason I continued to keep the car with him, is David, said in person the hood , grille and spoiler would be fixed or a discount on the job. Nothing was done, nothing was taken off my bill. He had taken more vehicles , in a 53 f100 , with a p71 frame, a 66 mustang red coupe, several Chevelle's & a very red & white 57 Ford 2dr bagged wagon. And not to mention the grey & black 66 mustang coupe that's been sitting there since I dropped off my 70. I finally had enough, I went with a truck and trailer , with my best friend , and our girlfriends . All four of us pushed the car on the trailer. While Dave sat down watching . Who lets girls push lol.. They wanted to help, but really dude.. We picked up my car in May 2020, which was in worst shape then I dropped it of , to David Murray ... to put a cherry on top , he gave my hood to his " body man" the day before I decided to come and pick it up . How convenient! Whom also didn't do anything to it For 4 months . I couldn't get ahold of David , I have come to find out he was in an accident. It is horrible, yes. But you would think , the person after 9 months of hell, would put me through another 4 months , simply , cause he didn't want to give a phone number , it was my property. Hood was valued at a 1000.00 to replace it ... if you want proof , feel free to message me , I have pictures, and messages .. Don't do business with this crook, he will take your money , scream at you , and let your prized classic or project rot in the Palmdale aka palmTuckey cold and heat... Every time I would call him to check up or in person, to get updates , two weeks .... car will be done by dec, 2019 Then feb2020 it was agreed in august that the car was only to take a month or two, since it was minimal work. The shop I took the car to after got all the work done in one month exactly. They were on it , called with updates , and most importantly they took good care of my car. I'll update with a review about them . But the world should hear about Mr. David Murray, and how he failed me , in taking care of my classic & not paying up for the damages . My car was in his possession, he was supposed to take care of my car. He will yell at you, belittle your car, and worst of all he threatened me , saying he will push my classic into the street. That was the last straw. To make matters worst, those 9 months my car sat with David , it became infested with black widows. So if you want the car of your dreams ruined .. ,to get lied to , money taken , take it to mpg aka Murray's proformless gamble.. or r&l racing aka rust& loss risking .. anything that Dave Murray has to touch on your car , better watch out . He will leave parts uninstalled and everything a mess. I found u joints on leaf springs, everything was just baked for sitting so long! He will only try to communicate over phone , so no written trail or anything. But I have screenshots of all my conversations with Murray, photos of all damages . Keep in mind , I only went with him , since my friend recommended him. I drove an hour and 13 min each way, just to get treated badly by him.

But a truly beautiful thing is beautiful throughout. Front to back, top to bottom, all over. So why is it OK to have a band of metal secured by cool decorative bolts on the front and then see no metal band and the butt end of those bolts on the rear? It's like painting only the front of your house. Or frosting half a cake. The job's not done. We can fix it. A strip of thin lumbar, painted and set in the right place will cover the butt ends of the bolts. And it'll only cost a few bucks. But when I paid $800 for a gate why should I have to explain that I'd like the back to look pretty too?
