Me and my boyfriend were looking for a place to get his hair cut (he has had horrible experiences his whole life, and because of this his hair had grown down to his shoulders) We saw Sunset Jones and she worked miracles. She transformed his whole look based off of one reference photo, all at a super affordable price. She is now our primary stylist :) The whole shop is extremely cute, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Up until this point, I went all the way to Portland and spent upwards of $60 on a haircut because I'm very picky about my hair. For financial reasons (and out of desperate need for a haircut) I decided to try this place, which charges $40 for a cut from Kendra. Kendra did a FANTASTIC job. She was very attentive to what I wanted, and she's very skilled! She also has fine, wavy hair like me, so she knows how to work with that hair type which has been hard for me to find. Came in this past Friday and got my lashes filled by Joanna and I must say she did a great job! I've waited a few days to post this just to see how well I retained the lashes and they are holding up fabulously! I got a hybrid of the lush and classic lashes and I would definitely recommend it, they give off a great full look but don't look like you're doing too much without any makeup on. And the prices are great too! $45 for a two week fill, $55 for 3 week! Go get yourself some lashes it's totally worth it!! read more

This is a spacious and airy salon where they offer multiple services, including hair, esthetician services and nails. Houston took care of me and did a beautiful job grooming my nails and applying the shellac polish. He has many gorgeous colors to choose from. Worst haircut of my life!!! My hair was the healthiest it had ever been, and by the time Shelby F was done with it, it looked damaged and thin. She used a lot of razoring to add "texture" which really Meant giving me ten thousand split ends... When I got home, my spouse immediately went and got the heavy conditioner saying, " We just need to nourish it back to health." There is no reason it should need nourishment. First off, I felt lucky to get an appointment there with only two day's notice. I felt even luckier when I walked into the salon. The big, red Craftsman toolbox I saw as I entered signified that they take having the right tools for the trade seriously. Although McKenzie looked too young to have much experience, she listened to everything I wanted and didn't want and then proceeded to make it a reality. That's not easy to do when someone presents a list of contradictions, like "I want to have dramatic highlights without anyone being able to notice I've gotten highlights. I want a color that doesn't make me look like I'm trying to look young again while making me look young again." Poor McKenzie, right? But she proved herself a true professional--right down to asking me if I'd like something to drink while I sat under the dryer--A DRYER THAT WAS EQUIPPED WITH A BACK MASSAGER! Afterwards, in the shampoo room, I found myself looking up into a beautiful ceiling painted with swirls of calming colors and colorful glass hanging lights, rather than glaring florescents. This salon provides a total experience. I was there nearly three hours, and received perfectly silvered highlights, a shampoo, a cut, dry and style. She also painstakingly corrected a previous bang hack job, and after all that, McKenzie presented a total bill that was less than advertised on the website. Thanks to her, I was able to start my new job feeling my best. I would give this salon top ratings in all categories--atmosphere, professional skills, and customer service. It was a positive experience from beginning to end and even as a thrifty older person, (okay, cheap) I consider it money well spent. read more

I showed McKenzie a few pictures of what I had in mind, and she patiently transformed my (brunette) head into a wonderland of rose gold balayage. The decor is beautiful and the stylist who spoke with me was very nice. However, I waited 30 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start and my stylist never came out to greet me or tell me how much longer it would be.
