Decided to take a drive to Kellogg to check out this brewery. Great vibe when you first walk in, the place is decorated with old antique radios, low lighting and velvet plush chairs and cute booths. We had a taster flight and decided on pints of the ESB, porter, and huckleberry wheat. All very flavorful beers. Decided on a couple snacks, truffle Parmesan fries and the beer battered artichoke hearts with lemon aioli. The fries were ok- borderlines on burnt with no sign of truffle oil or salt. Would have preferred them to be less done and more flavor but still ok. The artichoke hearts were great. All of the food coming out of the kitchen looked very good. The service is what makes or breaks it for us. It wasn't great and that was disappointing especially in a small worn like that we have always had more friendly interactions. The gal that helped us acted out out every time we asked a question and we constantly had to flag down the other server/buster to get us beers. He was way more attentive. We will probably be back to have lunch or dinner and enjoy some beers again. I just think if there was attention put on the service this place could really be that much better. read more

The best damn brewery & restaurant within 100s of miles! My party had several of their beers. Although their dark was favored, I was informed they are constantly tweaking their lighter beers in a constant strive for perfection. At our table we tried the Pub Platter, Snow Crab Bruschetta, Korean Tacos, and Mushroom/Gouda burger...and I couldn't find a complaint about any of it. This place could easily be at the top of the list in Seattle, much less a small town like Kellogg. Keep up the great work! read more

A beacon along the Bitterroot Loop bike route. After a week of hamburgers and chicken tender menus in other towns, Radio Brewing was a welcome reprieve that offered fresh ingredients and a varied menu that was creative without overdoing it. I had the cilantro lime corn fritters and lamb gyro, and my bf had the hiker's salad. Hit the spot, and substantial servings that nourished these two exhausted bikepackers. Friendly service. Big leather booths in a cool, dim (but not dark) setting were soothing. Despite the lack of air conditioning they manage to keep the place quite cool on a very hot day with ceiling fans. The quiet atmosphere was also a nice change from other spots along our route: old jazz in the background and no sportsbar TVs (at least, if they had one it was not disruptive or distracting). I'm not a beer drinker so can't speak to those offerings, but they did have actual good wines on the menu, and I tried a tasty local cider. There is no bike parking anywhere near here that we could see, which is odd considering its proximity to the Trail of the Coeur D'Alenes. We improvised without much trouble, but would be a good addition for the city or Radio to add. Also, it's a steep climb up the hill from the trail. Hard with loaded bikes but worth it -- and a short trip. read more

I was there for a wedding reception tonight and I've honestly never experienced such bad service. I'm in the service industry too so I empathize with the girl trying to keep track of everyone's orders etc. The most upsetting part is there wasn't common sense used by anyone. The food took close to 2 hours to come out. By that time, the 10 children were extremely upset, a diabetic elderly woman's blood sugar was crashing and the waitress refused to get her crackers. Children's food and health concerns should be priority. Every time a server was asked about the food etc. they had some excuse and were never apologetic for the chaos they caused. Even the owner to the bar blamed the bad service and slow food on the bride! Absolutely terrible. Lastly, they refused to remove "fresh mozzarella" off a sandwich since they are pre-made aka NOT FRESH. If they're just heating up sandwiches and frying crap, it shouldn't take 2 hours to get some food. Do not go here. This was supposed to be a relaxed and stress free night and the experience only added to the stress of a wedding. Unreal. read more

So we just ate here this evening... we had visited Kellogg earlier this year to mountain bike and had found Radio Brewing for drinks. This spring it was great! Tonight, not so much. Their website says they serve food until 9 and are open until 10pm on a Saturday night. We came in at 8:25. No one greeted us so we sat ourselves. The server acted annoyed that we were there, we could hear the wait staff and cooks saying, "you should have just told them to leave and that we were closed". They loudly talked about us... we could hear everything they said. Then they put all the chairs up and locked the doors... all before we had gotten our dinner! Mind you we were very polite and kind throughout this entire interaction. I wish they would have just told us to leave when we first walked in instead of making us feel bad for giving them business. Because they were rude we ate our meal fast and were out of there by 9:05 pm. We were truly disappointed and will not go back. This weekend is a mountain biking trip to celebrate our first anniversary. Though Radio is just a meal and we will celebrate our actual first anniversary date tomorrow, this was very disappointing. The food was good, though I did hear the cook make fun of me for ordering a salad with my burger (wtf lots of people do that). The beer was good. My husband and I went out of our way to come here to eat and have beers because of a recommendation by the bartender at Wallace Brewery. When we got there about 2:00-2:30ish today (7/10), the gal tending bar wasn't very friendly. We sat at a table after grabbing the beer list. We made our choices only to learn when we walked up to the bar to get our drinks that they were out of the two beers that I would have tried. We specifically asked her if they had wine to which she replied "NO". I even made the comment to my husband and the bartender that I was screwed because there was nothing I could drink other than water or soda. We went back to our table; she came over with a sample of their lager (my husband had asked her to do that) and to take our food order. The lager was just "okay" so I ordered a small glass. We then went out to the patio to wait for our food. We had another very friendly and sweet server. Three people came and sat at the table behind us; I heard them ask her if they had wine. Much to my amazement, she said a they had a red and white wine! So here I was drinking a crappy beer when I could have had a glass of wine. The ONLY reason I'm giving it three stars is because of the good food but, more importantly, the sweet server we had who did confirm they had wine. She said the bartender was getting ready to go home. SO DOES THAT JUSTIFY HER BOLDLY LYING TO A CUSTOMER who would have been much happier with a beer than their crappy lager!?!? Definitely won't go here again. read more
