a plate of food including a burrito, fries and ketchup

What a fabulous place. We walked in on trivia night and were able to join the game. We even won a drink. The service was fast and friendly. Plenty of menu options and seating. Public parking lot with plenty of parking. What a great area to spend an evening in.

Fried green tomatoes, soft pretzels, steakhouse burger with fries, garbage plate wrap with delicious onion rings!

Our first trip to Tin Cup, and we already want to try more of the menu. Our favorite item hands down is their onion rings. They were so crispy and perfectly cooked inside. They were battered as opposed to a corn meal crust. So delicious! We also got fried green tomatoes, which were delicious with a thick crunchy coating. They came with an avocado ranch sauce, but I would have much preferred a spicy ranch or remoulade sauce, which is what I've always had with fried green at any other restaurant. Soft pretzels were hot and salty and chewy. I didn't get the feeling that they were homemade, but they were good. While I did appreciate the fact that they came with two sauces, I didn't love them, but that's just my preference. Others might. They were bacon queso, and jalapeño mustard cream. Husband's steakhouse smash burger was really good and a little crispy. A perfect balance of mushrooms, and onions, and the garlic aioli with steak sauce was a great combination. It came with match stick sized fries. The garbage plate burrito wasn't much different than a wrap. It could be eaten with a knife and fork I guess, but I managed just fine as a hand held. The meat hot sauce on it was perfection. Love - extra napkins at the table. Didn't love - our appetizers came out at the same time as our meals did. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive, I didn't catch her name. We will definitely return, as the rest of the menu looks fantastic!

Two stars, and that feels generous…read more My wife and I recently visited Bonnie and Clyde in Fairport as part of a group of eight, and we left disappointed. At $117 for the two of us, including tax and tip, we expected a lot more than we got. Let's start with the positives. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The building itself is a converted bank, and the old vault is a striking architectural feature, though we didn't dine in it. The restaurant also deserves credit for offering some vegan options, including one vegan entrée. That said, the issues outweighed the highlights considerably. The noise level was genuinely awful. We were at a table of eight and had trouble hearing each other. The space felt sparse and cold, not in a minimalist-chic way, but in an unfinished way. The whole "Bonnie and Clyde" theme has such strong possibilities it's a shame they didn't pursue them. The food was mediocre and overpriced. I ordered two vegan sides instead of an entrée: French fries and a roasted beet salad. I asked the waiter to prepare the fries vegan-style with just ketchup, but they arrived with two sides of non-vegan aioli anyway. The fries themselves were average. The beet salad was fine but small and forgettable. My wife ordered the king trumpet mushrooms, the only vegan entrée on the menu. The mushrooms were decent, nothing more. Her cocktail special, a kiwi and vodka drink, was watery and bland. A few other frustrations: the vegan items are not labeled as such on the menu, which is an easy fix that would doubtless help many diners. There is only one vegan entrée, which feels thin. And Lagunitas non-alcoholic beer is available, but you would never know it, since it does not appear on the drinks menu. We will not be returning.

Seeing all the ways in which they have kept the old bank theme brings out a nice ambiance. The service was very quick, and our servers were very attentive. We ordered the Bravas Potatoes and the Fried Chicken Sliders as our small plates. The potatoes were delicious! I was surprised when they came out with marinara sauce on them, but it meshed so well with the dish. The potatoes were cooked very well. The chipotle mayo was a really good finishing touch. The fried chicken sliders were sooo good! The chicken was so juicy, and fried just right. The bun had a good toast to it, and the pickles were nice and fresh. Both myself and my wife ordered the chicken fried steak with polenta and a sunny side up egg. To be frank, this dish was very disappointing. I won't put the polenta against them, because I have never been a polenta fan, but it was okay. The egg was cooked perfectly, but was a little salty. The chicken fried steak was so so salty. The breading tasted as if it had a whole bottle of salt in it. The gravy was also just okay. I decided to give the restaurant 3 stars just because of how disappointing the entree was. But on the flip side, the small plates were sooo good! My wife and I will be back to try this restaurant again, to try out some of their other foods.
