Stopped here on the way back from Florida. This is my second time in Gulfport. We picked this quaint little spot because we wanted to try something new. We had the cream of broccoli soup, the grilled chicken breast sandwiches, my husband had the fried hot chicken sandwich, and my daughter had the salad. Overall, a great experience. We came after 2 PM so the restaurant wasn't busy, but the service was great, the food was excellent, and we really enjoyed ourselves. If we are ever in town again, we will definitely stop by and have a meal here. read more

I'm visiting for a week and was looking for somewhere to eat close to my VRBO and found Radish. I'm not great at going out to eat alone, but the bartender/waitress was very kind and helpful. Also chatted up a couple other people at the bar that made my night. The food was wonderful. I hit their steak night special and even made room for a great dessert. Saturday lunch was great, food was obviously prepared fresh to order, service was attentive. Had the strawberry kale salad and hubby had shrimp and grits. Ample portions and $2 mimosas. My new favorite place to eat! Cute decor and very clean. read more

After reading a comment from a FB friend, my husband and I decided to try Radish. The setting is very attractive, the menu is limited at lunch. Service was a negative. There were only two other occupied tables, and those diners were already served when we walked in and were seated. No one came in after we did. We ordered our drinks and meal within 10 minutes. It took nearly an hour to get our meals. During that time, our server did not ask if we needed drink refills (we did), and when our meals finally came, the food was fresh and attractively presented. But my chicken taco portion was very small for the price ($15) My husband's fish sandwich was a good size. Then our server disappeared. She didn't return to see how everything was, and in order to pay the bill, my husband had to approach the person behind the bar. Overall, a disappointing experience. We won't be back. read more

I pray this business makes it. It was definitely 'off' for a table of 6. The pork chop was so overdone that the butter knife seriously would not cut(and a late comer ordered it rare and his came out medium, that was funny). Radish Crudite served with cold butter we did not understand, and the rest was just underwhelming. The Poor Man's Steak was good but the Ramen missed the mark. They do need to stock more wine as they were running out. This was one night, and they could be just off. Please dim the lights, that chandelier over the table gave us sunburn and remove dishes when everyone is finished would be nice. read more

The food is to die for. The crab beignets were the star of the show for us. I had the ramen which is not a typical order for me-- I was blown away by the combination of flavors. The portion was huge. Husband had the pork chop and it was very tender. He loved it. The deconstructed cheesecake was also wonderful. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the sweet potato side- just ok. Very much a disappointment. It is in Long Beach, so it is good to see an attempt to have a good dining experience close by. The venue is quite small, and the tables themselves as a result are also quite small. The portions are large, so there is a good chance you will be taking home a box or two of leftovers. The service was attentive and fairly good. The atmosphere is not in line with what you would expect at this price level. At first there was no music, then loud music. The entire place is open so any table with guests with loud voices makes it hard to hear your own dinner guests. The most disappointing aspect for us was the food itself. We ordered three different items, that I would range from mediocre to pretty bad. Two of the items we ordered were supposed to items they are known for. We were hoping that the food would at least be as good as Fields or other mid-price restaurants, but that was not the case. We will try it again, and perhaps make better menu choices. read more

Amazing food in a chic atmosphere! As a vegetarian, it's hard to find good food options at restaurants. Absolutely loved the Cauliflower Gnocchis and grilled veggies, accompanied by a mini cast iron skillet of cornbread. My friend ordered the Crabmeat Beignets with a side of the Barq's Root Beer Mashed Sweet Potatoes, which I helped polish off. We wrapped up our meal with Jane's Banana Pudding, Chocolate Peanut Butter Chess Pie, and Coast Roast French Press Service for Two! Delish!!! If you haven't been to Radish in Long Beach yet, it's a must! Be sure to make a reservation, though. it's small and usually packed for dinner on the weekends! read more

We arrived about 30 minutes before the kitchen closed, and the staff could not have been better. Great suggestions from an attentive server, an interesting and varied menu, and a nice cocktail list (Radish has only recently obtained their liquor license, so this was a bonus!) made this a great experience. I had heard many good things about this new restaurant, so a friend and I had lunch here recently. I was surprised how small it is, but that did not bother me. The lunch menu was small. We were immediately told that they were out of fish that day. I probably would have had the fish sandwich, if it had been available. As it was a wet, rainy day, I asked the server if they had hot tea. She said they did not. I asked for coffee, and was told that they were "out" of coffee. Really? What restaurant runs out of coffee? I decided to try the tomato bisque and pimento cheese sandwich. The "bisque" was not a bisque, at all. Bisques are very smooth and creamy. This was a small bowl of a thick tomato mixture, which reminded me of tomato paste with seasoning in it. Admittedly, I am not an expert in pimento cheese, as I am not a native Southerner. However, this version was not delicious. I found it to be bland. The bread (toast) was light and airy, and I did like that. My lunch partner ordered the BLT with fried green tomatoes and fries, and she enjoyed her meal. She had ordered the same meal in the past, and enjoyed it on those occasions also. If I go again for lunch, I'll try the BLT the next time. read more

On a recent Saturday night, we brought a some friends to Radish for a low-key birthday dinner. The appetizer of crabmeat beignets were delicious as usual. We shared as there were 4 of us and 4 with the order. There size is generous and the perfect size for sharing. Between the 4 of us we tried different dishes. The Gulf fish entree was Redfish atop a fried grit cake. It was perfectly spiced, tender and delicious. The NY Strip steak topped with chimichurri and fried shallots was moist and flavorful. Our guests enjoyed sharing their entrees of the bone-in pork chop with collard greens and Grit Girl grits along with the tagliatelle pasta with vodka sauce and shrimp. Our drinks were well crafted. The Old Fashioned and the Radish martini were delicious. Our server Frankie attended to our every need. This was another wonderful meal shared with friends at this outstanding restaurant in downtown Long Beach. read more
