Overall giving a solid 4/5 on the experiences thus far, based on at least the 3rd trip I've had here for work and/or date night. The venue itself has a very wide variety, especially in the whiskey and bourbon selections. Tried to post the menu, sorry if i messed that up. There are plenty of seats around but do expect some mingling to happen (as things get tight when it's busier and with more people). The inside and outside patio areas looked clean and taken care of, no complaints here! The vibe and look itself is pretty cool, would likely benefit from refreshing or adjusting some of the furniture to bring it more together. This is a fun location with the feel of a high class bar but energy level of a college town bar. There is usually a mixture of many people and it is frequently busy. The drinks are on the slightly upper price ranges depending on what you get but it is good quality. The pickle martini is made from an in house pickle juice and it definitely has some spice to it. The espresso martinis are easily some of the best in town. Overall great experience but when it's over packed frequently that is why it is 4 stars instead of 5 read more

I enjoyed this rooftop bar located in the Embassy Suites hotel. The lighting was beautiful and the windows provided a full view of downtown Knoxville. I stopped by with my mom and cousins an hr before closing and enjoyed an empress gin French 75. I'd loved to go back the next time I'm in Knoxville to check out the food. read more

My boyfriend and I came here on the Sunday before Halloween for a date night in Knoxville. The view was totally gorgeous! You walk into the hotel and go to the top floor. Bartenders were friendly. The drinks were good too. They have fire pits for the outside area to stay warm since its starting to get cold when the sun goes down. As a first time visitor to downtown Knoxville, and a frequent traveler looking for unique places to catch a great view are at the top of my list. This place did not disappoint, though I was not expecting a dress code, but we were allowed in not sure if because it was game day or because they were just generally forgiving. Overall, the bartenders were friendly and kind even gave us a refill after and one of our drinks spilled on accident. I have been to radius rooftop a few times, and their drinks are always superb. They have one of my favorite espresso martinis in town. Their house margarita is also very good it's cucumber, so it's very refreshing. Great place to go for a spring or summer afternoon. It does, however get pretty crowded at night with seemingly the younger crowd and college kids. read more

Tonight we stopped at The Radius for a drink after an evening of art for First Friday in Downtown Knoxville. The Radius is the Rooftop bar at Embassy Suites so the hotel entrance is lovely and always decorated for the current events. This weekend happened to be Mardi Growl themed light letters and balloons. This time as we stepped out of the elevator and we were please to be met by the sounds of live music. The Radius has a dress code and a host to check ids, which is obviously fine and expected. They are friendly and professional. Tonight the weather was not suitable to go outside and enjoy our drinks with a view but the bar area itself is lovely and we were enjoying the jazz cover band. Also, because it was First Friday artwork was on display and it was nice to chat with a local artist and see his work. The bar has QR code menus and the bartenders are helpful with suggestions or answering questions about their specialty drinks or beers on tap. Tonight we had a Blue Butterfly and a pilsner from Alliance which is a local brewery. Tonight we only had time for one drink but we had a nice relaxed time and will definitely be back. read more

There was live music (piano plus singing) which was fabulous! Lovely place to watch the sunset and grab a few drinks! Wow. My experience on 4/15/23. Yes radius is racist!!!! They guy went sweeping slamming chairs like a kindergartner to sweep up food that they sub cater to. I felt uncomfortable after his rant after I spent my hard earned money trying to enjoy the sun and my friends birthday. I have. A special needs family member who didn't eat as near as they wanted to. They may not experience racism but I hope that they experience poor customer service somewhere else so that they can feel how we feel. Karma comes back and serve diligently. Engages in a clear pattern of race-based discriminatory business practices. Personnel mock you when you attempt to address your concerns. An employee chuckled at my concerns about their troubling dress code and other race-related issues after suggesting there were no sensitivity or communications problems at Radius. He was unable or unwilling to provide me a name of a general manager--or even a date that person will be available. I attempted initially to handle my concerns privately and diplomatically. I was met with derision and mockery. Not OK. So here we are. Radius' own reviews and social media feeds demonstrate that their transoarently racist dress code does not apply to white patrons. It's bad enough it's drawn the Ttention of the local chapter of Black Loves Matter, Knox County's faith community, local Democrats, and activist circles more generally. I've contacted their in-house sales team and am waiting to speak to someone at Hilton's corporate office. The policies at Radius and the behavior of their staff are egregious and unacceptable. Radius has since locked down its Facebook page, turned off comments and reviews, and responded to several folks demanding they do better by issuing private non-apologies: refusing to acknowledge any wrongdoing, refusing to alter their policies, and sign off with an invitation to come enjoy their "elevated atmosphere"... My husband and I attempted to visit and have a drink at the bar last evening (12/28/22). We arrived and found several seats available and were happy it wasn't extremely busy so we could have a drink before going to dinner elsewhere for my 43rd birthday. We sat down and were not greeted at all by any of the 3 people working the bar. It wasn't till after 10 minutes of sitting there when I was able to get one of their attention to ask about the menu since neither my husband's apple phone nor my Samsung would pull up the QR menu. When I informed the bartender she said "well, it works for all of us"  saying "try it without wifi on" and she walked away while saying "if it doesn't work we don't have hard copy menus anyway" and then she went over to the other workers to chat and came back a few minutes later and opened it on her phone for use to look at but obviously reluctantly.  I quickly took pictures of the menu on her screen, as to not hold up her phone. Once she took her phone back, we sat and waiting and waited and waited and not one of them came back over to check on us, see if we wanted to order, not even looking our way, which was how we were treated since we arrived.  They also did not check on the couple to our right or left the entire 24 minutes we sat there. I have no idea what was going on with them but it was an unpleasant experience.   My husband who is usually very relaxed and isn't bother by things like this was completely over it as well whispering to me. We decided to just get up and leave. We took our business to somewhere who actually wants to serve customers. We were greeted immediately at the next location which was at least 2x as busy and had drinks within 3 minutes. I'm not expecting fast but the complete disrespect and being completely ignored from the moment we sat down even before any interaction at all was beyond off putting. We will obviously not returning.  I have included a picture of them ignoring all of the customers. This was how they were for at least 80% if not more of the time we were there.  As a side note, not having a hard copy of a menu is not a great idea. I know that's the "in" thing but a basic menu of standard drinks would be beneficial to anyone having phone issues or doesn't have one that is capable of QR Codes. I use mine for QR menus frequently and never had an issue. read more

Ok so yeah the previous discrimination reviews are facts. We came in with another couple of the opposite race(same elevator and same time getting to the bar). He took their order and then went to another couple of opposite race that was already sitting with drinks and ask them if they wanted something else and then went around the whole bar to other patrons that was settled in and already with drinks and ask if they was good. We waited patiently for more than 30 minutes came back to us. Ok so what would y'all want in a very irritating voice. My first thought was Fu$& them. But my wife said she liked the view. I've been here a few times, and it's mediocre at best. The funniest part is that they try to enforce a dress code of some kind when they're serving bottom shelf drinks on top of an average chain hotel. Radius is trying so hard to be something it's not, and there are so many nicer places in to eat/drink in Knoxville that don't have to play pretend to be nice. I can't leave a completely negative review, so I will say the outside space looks nice. I like the small pool. May be worth checking that out if staying at the hotel. read more
