In fact, I liked it so much that I continued to go there even after I switched insurance and it was no longer covered. Dishonest staff and billing practices. After going back and forth for weeks and not getting a straight answer about cost of a simple consultation, I finally found out that Dr Armstrong is out of network the day before my appointment! Even though I was 100% clear with staff when I called that I wanted to confirm she was in network. It turns out that she used to be and staff played games with semantics saying Dr Armstong is "in contract"...too good to be true! nothing but dishonest hustlers at this dentist. Contrary to previous reviews, I actually had a horrible experience. I can say the staff was nice but that is about it. I have never had issues with my teeth in the 24 years ive been alive. All of the sudden when I get here they want to add all of these "tests" to my visit. Well I let that go thinking "hey, maybe they are just being thorough", to then later realize it was a complete waste of time and money. Prior to realizing what was previously stated, I proceeded to get my wisdom teeth removed with them and some surgeon (name I forgot) from UM came in to do it. A YEAR LATER I STILL CANNOT FEEL THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY BOTTOM LIP! Forever scarred and will never return. :( read more

I had just moved to Miami and, after three years of law school in which I had no dental insurance, I knew I was in for an eventful dentist appointment. Fortunately, I found Dr. Armstrong through Yelp, and couldn't have had a better experience. Although I did indeed need to have a lot of cleaning done and no fewer than six cavities filled, she and her entire staff were very gentle, professional, and made the whole experience as pleasant as it could be. The fillings were really painless and done with a cosmetic material that matches the color of your teeth. Even after I was consistently late to my appointments, everyone in the office was extremely nice and did a really excellent job. I have been going to Dr. Armstrong for the past couple years and without exception every single visit has been a professional, thorough, and pleasant experience. It starts with entering the very clean and welcoming reception area with keurigs available if you wait (I have NEVER had to wait more than 2 minutes)! The receptionist is very sweet and makes sure everything is in order. The dental hygienist is intelligent and kind and does a fantastic job explaining what is going on in your mouth and tips for doing a better job. She takes the time to make sure that she answers any of your questions and leaves you smile pearly white! Dr. Armstrong keeps right in line with the office theme of being knowledgeable and pleasant. She is conservative and does what is best for YOU, not what will make an extra buck. I first came to Dr. Armstrong after leaving another dentist office in Coral Gables that pretty much gave me PTSD from the frequent errors (It took 5 visits to get a crown because the person measuring it kept making mistakes), she frequently forgot to numb areas before drilling, and overcharged EVERYTHING. Dr. Armstrong has been my savior and I am finally look forward to getting my teeth tuned up rather than dreading the experience. read more

Absolutely one of my favorite dentists I've ever had (and I've lived all over the country and been to many dentists). From the ladies who work at the front desk to the hygienist and of course to Dr. Armstrong, everyone is so super nice, professional and above all they are caring. I live on the beach and the drive to downtown is so worth it to have this type of wonderful service from such kind people. The office is updated and clean (hard to find on the beach) and there's a convenient parking garage in the same building that only charges $3 with validation. I've had several services provided here including cleanings, crowns, mouth guard and teeth whitening. I trust and I highly recommend Dr. Armstrong and her staff for your dental needs. read more

I never leave reviews, but I hope new customers read this and are able to make an informed decision. I just moved to the Miami area after having the same dentist for 15+ years. I found the phenomenal reviews on Yelp for Dr. Armstrong and thought it would be worth it to give her a shot. The appointment seemed to be going fine until Dr. Armstrong and her hygienist revealed to me that I had 4-5 "new" cavities that would require $700-$800 in dental work. Shocked that my teeth had apparently taken a turn for the worse, I decided to get a second opinion at Dr. Furshman's Dentistry of Miami. WOW. I am very happy that I did. The dentist there was extremely happy I had sought out a second opinion. She confirmed that I, in fact, had NO cavities and that my teeth looked phenomenal. I'm really disappointed to say this seems to be an obvious case of fraud. Please look elsewhere for your dental care. I cannot believe this practice was going to let someone have ~2 hours worth of dental work and multiple needles stuck in their mouth just to make some extra money. It leaves me deeply saddened. read more

Dr. Armstrong, while convenient for those living/working downtown, is extremely overpriced. She charges $125 for an adult cleaning when other qualified and reputable dentists charge between $60 and $70 for the same service and this overcharging follows throughout her service offerings. Additionally, she is listed as an in-network provider under a different address than the office in which she operates so that patients are brought in under the assumption that services are covered as in-network when they are not. They do not make it clear in initial visits that they are outside of your network. Also, her team over-diagnoses in order to rack up additional charges. When I had an exam with her team, they listed a whole range of issues, unnecessary follow-up appointments needed, and $60 tooth paste, mouth wash, and mouth spray I needed (which they of course pressure you into buying). As someone who takes good care of my teeth this was surprising and when I went to a different dentist it was confirmed that my oral health is just fine. While the convenience of her office is nice, a different dentist is worth the travel. read more

I signed up to yelp just so I could write this review. I had the best and most thorough cleaning i have ever had in my life with the amazing Estela. She is thorough and dedicated, and checks regularly to make sure she isn't hurting you. I had braces for five years and have had many, many cleanings in my life, and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. I have just moved to Miami, and was worried about seeing someone new, but the reviews are to be believed, the experience was great. Dr. Raffaella came to give me a check up after my cleaning, and she was very thorough, taking the time to explain everything in detail, and explain my options. She has a lovely bedside/chairside manner, and made me feel relaxed. If any of you have any phobias, i would definitely recommend this dental practice, its perfect. The waiting room is lovely and clean, with lots of reading material, but your wait wont be long.I didnt have insurance( just moved here) and i have to tell you, there was no pushing of any extra services. i had some X-rays, which were explained to me in detail, and the price i felt was very reasonable. I love this place, and I will definitely be back, and will send anyone i know here too. read more
