If there is ANYTHING that is wrong with this sausage sandwich it is figuring out how to place the order. Pro tip: stand at the far right cash register and stare wistfully at the chalkboard menu for Rager's. DO NOT get in the Hot Heads line. Check out my photo. Recommend ordering it with those exact toppings. I couldn't even slow down to take a picture before I was four bites in. The sear on that patty off a "busy" grill (I prefer to say dirty, but people get crazed over that adjective I use in a living way) is AMAZING. I also had to endure a manager belittling employees in front of a full line of customers, while I waited patiently for my sandwich. But that battle can be saved for another day. Maybe she will be the one to read this review and tell me she was having a REALLY bad day. Maybe her employer will read this and remedy the situation. Maybe I will know the results when I walk back in soon for another sausage sandwich. It's a crazy world who knows what could happen! read more

Rager Burger - Double with cheese, egg, pickle, onion and mustard. 10/10 - Fast Food Near Me - Van Wert, Ohio

Some of the best food my fiancé and I have had by far. Everything was fresh, cooked to perfection, and truly was delicious. The service was efficient and they covered our many requests. The Rager Sausage Sandwich is a play on a Hamburger/ Cheeseburger but instead of the beef patty they use a homemade original sausage recipe from 1920s that is fantastic. The meat was cooked "smash style" and was seriously delicious. The Pulled Pork Sandwich was phenomenal, we've eaten at a lot of BBQ places around the country but nothing compared to this. The pork was seasoned and cooked perfectly and it literally melts in your mouth. The homemade BBQ sauce was the best I've had. The bacon in the BLT is cured in house and was cooked to order. You can't go wrong with a BLT but theirs was over the top. For the sides we tried the fries, onion rings, Dough Boy and Dough Girl. The Fries were good but nothing to really talk about but the Dough Boy and Dough Girl were so good, the Dough Boy was definitely the winner of the two. Hopefully they keep the onion rings so that you guys can try them. Overall this place is definitely worth a stop when passing by Van Wert, the food, service, and overall ambiance of this place really makes it a spot to remember and somewhere to return to every time you're in the area. Should probably let people know that they're not open anymore before they drive 20 minutes out of their way to come and get a burger

I love this place! Let me tell you, your can get bored and pretty tired of McDonalds and pizza when you are stuck living in a hotel for over a month. Your palate will crave something more. When I was told by a few co-workers about this place, I decided to try it. I was a little worried because it shares a location with a gas station and they were burgers. I was hoping I wouldn't regret coming here. Coming into the restaurant, I reviewed the menu. It's written on a chalk board. The restaurant is nicely decorated.... going for simple and rustic... it works. My brother and I reviewed the menu and we were approached by a couple who asked us where we were from. We are from Miami, Florida and just moved to the area due to a job offer. I guess it showed we weren't from the area as we were told by the couple that everyone knows what they want when they come here. They explained that this place has had a booth for years at the county fair and they are well known. I thought, good to know, wonder if they do anything special at the fair? I should have asked them that question. I guess I will find out during the fair? The first time we went there my brother both got plain Rager's.... I got a single and he got a double. We only asked for mustard on it as, although Ketchup is a condiment available at this establishment the menu asks you forgo it. We asked for the combos which came with fries and a fountain drink. We took the food back to the hotel to eat. We loved the meal! The sausage burgers were delicious! The texture and taste is different and superior to a common burger. The fries were good... but one of my favorite parts of the meal were their doughboys! They are small funnel cakes which you can have with either cinnamon or powdered sugar. Yum!!!!! My brother and I, though preferred the cinnamon ones. Second time we came here, we were more adventurous. We both got doubles with mustard, cheese and a fried egg. My brother also added tomatoes, pickles and onions on his. Burgers were even better this time around! We also decided to get the sodas in glass bottles they have made with real sugar. Unfortunately, they are not part of a combo. Wish they were as having to order the entire meal part by part is a mouthful. Needless to say, I am very glad I came and tried this place. I finally found a gourmet burger place, I actually really like and don't feel is overpriced. I will be coming back again for sure! read more

Was charged for someone else's order in line today it took over 15 minutes for the manager to figure out how to do a refund after she yelled at me. The line is a single line so there should be no reason to charge anyone out of order the woman at the window window didn't verify my order or give me a total over the speaker so I could verify the amount being charged myself. Stuff inside was completely rude flipping me off and telling me to leave while they still had my card. I have nine minutes of video evidence of this if the owner would like to reach out and it be sent to their email. read more

This is some amazingly good sausage. It is cooked patty style as a single or a double. Frozen hand cut fries that are food but not as good as fresh cut. This place has stood the test of time. Pulled pork was a special. This sausage was seasoned perfectly. They can add an egg also. Simple chalk board menu. Drive thru. Shares a building with a gas station. Don't let that stop you cause this is good sausage. Easy to miss. Worth a stop if you are in the area. Dessert treats for a dollar! read more
